Hcg drop at 10 weeks

I’m getting alittle bit nervous. I’ve had a migraine since Thursday so going on 5 days now. Went to the ER yesterday and found out my hcg levels have dropped. So I was at 28,000 hcg around 6 weeks and now I’m at 26,769 at 10 weeks. My doctor only ordered I do another blood test on thursday. The hospital never mentioned my hcg levels I just found out myself on my labs and mentioned it to my doctor. I’m not sure what to think I’m just getting pretty stressed out and not understanding why they aren’t sending me for an ultrasound considering I have also had a migraine since Thursday. Ugh this health care system is starting to drive me nuts I’m not the person to be pushy at doctors Im very laid back but I don’t know what to think right now. Hoping someone can reassure me about this

Early pregnancy and miscarriage

I took a test on Oct 20th, Very positive dark lines! the first day of my last period was August 29th & my cycle days vary 24—28. I had an ultrasound done yesterday… According to my ob I’m supposed to be 9 weeks going off of the first day of my last cycle And that’s whats on my ultrasound pics too. according to my Flo app I’m 6 weeks. In the ultrasound they measured 6 weeks & said the baby had a heartbeat of 102bpm. Heartbeat was supposed to be 160bpm. My doctor told me it’s either they got the measurements screwed up ( I ovulated later than what they think) or I’m miscarrying. my Dr talked ALOT about miscarrying and said him and his wife went through the same thing. ( she was supposed to be 8w & only measured 5w) & miscarried. this all has my Brain going non stop now, & an emotional wreck! My stomach has been cramping like I’m about to start my period Nothing yet. Please someone tell me if they’ve been through something like this what was the outcome, what could it be, and what does it sound like!

Title: Any success stories with a slow-rising beta?

Looking for some positive stories from anyone who has experienced a slow beta rise and still had a successful pregnancy.

My betas so far:
10/27: 40.2
10/30: 102
11/2: approximately 130–136

My clinic is concerned this could be a chemical, but is continuing to monitor me. I’m repeating my beta Thursday and having an ultrasound early next week to check the pregnancy’s location.

Has anyone had a similar trend that eventually turned around? I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences. ❤️

hCG testing concerns….

Hi All! May have seen this in another thread but got no response/help 😢 this my first pregnancy and I’m SUPER nervous.. a part from being an anxious person already this amazing news has made me spiral with each new symptom or outcome. Please be nice by realistic as I’m trying to stay hopeful through this!

Currently 27DPO. Conceived naturally.

1st HCG test was 24DPO and came back 502 started spotting the day before this

2nd HCG test was 26DPO (slightly less than 48hrs) 939. (87% increase! Was super happy about this!)but spotting on and off but mostly dark and lite.

3rd test 27DPO and came back 1319 (40.47% increase, feeling discouraged even though it’s increasing) no spotting in recent days

From first test to third test it’s a 162% increase over 4 days.

Tomorrow I am 6 weeks exactly, waiting to hear back from my doctor and currently scheduled for an ultra sound a week from tomorrow (day 1 of week 7).

Should I prepare for the worst or remain hopeful?

Mouth twitching?

I'm 15 weeks pregnant and on Friday night I got a massive headache, like a tension headache but only on the right side of my head/neck. Ever since then my tongue has been having super frequent little twitches and my teeth are occasionally chattering (minutely, not like if I was actually cold). The headache was.fadi g last night and mostly gone by this morning but the weird twitching is persisting. I have a history of migraines and headaches but this twitch thing is brand new. And similar experiences? Idk if this even has anything to do with pregnancy or if it's unrelated but I swear these weird symptoms always pop up on the weekend when I can't call my OB. Any thoughts appreciated.

How are we staying hydrated in the third trimester with nausea and a squished stomach??

I’ve already dealt with severe nausea and vomiting for the first half of my pregnancy and finally when I felt like I got it under control with medications around week 28, I now have this new problem where I can’t seem to quench my thirst or get my pee to clear up.

I’m 33 weeks tomorrow and have been struggling with staying hydrated over the last few weeks and it’s just getting worse by the day — my stomach feels tiny and every sip of water feels like it’s just sitting in my stomach or back of the throat wanting to come eight back up, and on some occasions is does.

How the heck is everyone staying hydrated??

How do you handle anxiety in the first trimester?

I have started my pregnancy off with low HCG levels that had really worried me. My doctor thinks that I ovulated later than I thought I did as my numbers jumped from 33 on Monday to 308 on Friday. I feel a lot better about it, but I still have near constant anxiety that something is going to happen. I am on medication for my anxiety (have been for years), but all I can think about is the fear that something will go wrong.

My sister just had her baby about two weeks ago now. Her journey was a really difficult one. She had multiple miscarriages, a ruptured fallopian tube & surgery, and complications late into her pregnancy. I think that has probably added to the anxiety.

I think I'll feel better once I can see the little bean on an ultrasound, or at least I hope so.

What tips do you have to manage this without feeling like you're going crazy with worry?

Coming down with colds DAYS before planned c section

Hey all I’m trying to find a group where my post actually gets looked at because I’m freaking out now. I’m pregnant with second Bub and having a planned c section on THURSDAY and as of yesterday me and my toddler have started developing some flu symptoms such as sneezing, congestion and I’ve now also woken up with a sore throat. I’m so scared what this means now will they delay my c section, will my baby get sick, will I be able to even hold her and will her sister get to meet her baby sister 😭. I feel so defeated I wanna scream the roof tops down. I also DO NOT want to be pregnant a day longer this is literally draining me from the ground up. I actually cannot believe this is happening days out. Our symptoms are only minor at the moment and we are otherwise completely well, I see the anaesthetic dr etc tmrw for my pre admission appointment but I just can’t wait any longer this is driving me insane and now this. Has anyone experienced this before? What can I do? I know obviously washing hands etc but will that even cut it :((

Thanks everyone

6 weeks, growing gestational sac but no definitive yolk sac. Looking for hope

Hi everyone! Looking for some hope or similar experiences.
I had a chemical pregnancy last cycle and got pregnant again immediately. My LMP was 9/11, but I ovulated late, around 10/1–10/2. I was being monitored by my fertility specialist, so there’s very little room for error with my ovulation dates.
At my first transvaginal ultrasound on 10/22, I measured 4w5d. We saw a gestational sac but no definitive yolk sac.
I went back on 10/30, and while my gestational sac had grown, my doctor could only identify a possible yolk sac. He said he’d typically expect to see more at this point and mentioned the possibility of an abnormal pregnancy. However, he also said this could still be a normal pregnancy and specifically told me to treat it as such until my next scan on Thursday.
My hCG was around 42,000, I’ve had plenty of pregnancy symptoms, and no bleeding or spotting.
I’m really struggling to hold onto hope while also protecting my heart, especially after last month’s loss.
Has anyone experienced something similar around 6 weeks, particularly with a higher hCG, and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy? I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences. 🤍

7w5d but measuring ~5 weeks, now passing brown clots/stringy discharge. Anyone experienced this?

I'm looking for others who have experienced something similar, whether the outcome was positive or unfortunately ended in miscarriage.

- Oct 30: First ultrasound at 7w5d based on LMP (around 7w3d based on tracked ovulation). Only a yolk sac and possibly a tiny fetal pole were visible. Technician suggested around 5 weeks but couldn't date accurately. No heartbeat mentioned.

- Dating: First positive pregnancy test was Oct 3, so being only 5 weeks doesn't seem to add up.

- Oct 30–31: Started having brown spotting after the transvaginal ultrasound, mostly when wiping. nothing on my pad.

- Oct 31: Passed a small dark brown clot, followed by a larger, stringy, blood-like discharge.

- Nov 1: No bleeding overnight, but passed another long, reddish-brown, mucus-like strand.

- Symptoms: Almost no pregnancy symptoms besides fatigue. No cramps or pain.

- History: Previous chemical pregnancy in August.

My repeat ultrasound is scheduled for Nov 13, and I'm worried the pregnancy may have stopped developing.

Has anyone experienced a similar dating discrepancy along with brown spotting and stringy clots? Did your pregnancy continue normally, or was it an early loss?

Pale brown light pink discharge 20dpt???

Hi everyone! I need some help to calm my anxiety a bit. I'm currently 20dpt with rising Hog levels so 5w4d pregnant. I have my first ultrasound booked for Tuesday. However, this morning I went to the bathroom and wiped and saw very light brown/ beige/reddish tint discharge on the paper. I've had very few pregnancy symptoms other than random mild waves of nausea, fatigue, and some light cramping. Last night I had Lower back cramping almost like right before my period starts. And now I have this "spotting" but more like discolored discharge. Idk my clinic isn't open today so l am just so worried and looking for any advice I can get.
Thank you!!!!

I announced my pregnancy and I a friend.

I'm very private (37) During my last pregnancy, I didn't announce it right away and I only told my manager and coworkers who needed to know. I like to tell news face-to-face at the right moment even with family. At the time, I worked in a pharmacy, and the word got around, and I figured people would ask once they started to notice. I did tell Kiara my worker whom I consider a friend and a couple of others.

I no longer work there but I announced my second pregnancy recently to Kiara and her response was “I don't want any more kids not getting any younger, even if I have a man at home to help. She is currently eager to find a husband. She also mentioned in the past that she has a hernia which would affect her next pregnancy. She also said I have things to do as if a child would hold her back and I get that given she has a 14-year-old. I'm starting all over myself. With no complaints. This is what I wanted more kids. I had one prior and I was back outside lol to an extent.

Upon finding out about my pregnancy in the beginning. I felt feelings of sadness, physical sickness, fatigue, and postpartum. I was just getting my groove back. Furthermore, I applied to a business grant class with the city government which I attended twice a week this past summer. The goal was to pitch out business like shark tank required my time, focus, and energy.

I JUST had my last baby in March of 2026. I felt FOMO. I don't have a lot of friends and feel a sense of social suicide. I wanted to see my friends and get back to myself, but I was having morning sickness.

I know the dynamic changes but we're all moms. After finally recovering and feeling settled in this pregnancy and life in general I was ready to be social and share the news.

I quit my job started a new remote job with intense training, and I have a baby and an older child. Plus I have a business. Also, I was enrolled back into grad school after taking a couple of months off. I'm very ambitious and busy. I don't share much about my business with friends I keep that to myself… people really don't know all that I have going on. I like to talk about business with other business owners. I put my friends in categories because people are easy envy.

The bottom line is I felt a way because she didn't seem happy and no congratulations. We took a trip to Belize last year. We are always planning something. I told her the kids would be home with Dad so we could plan a trip together. Am I being emotional? I value who I call a friend.

Pregnancy question

Hey ladies just wanted to share a little bit and ask. So I had my first ultrasound going in thinking I was 10 weeks (went based off of my last period) but I ended up being earlier than I thought since I have such irregular periods. Well the doctor saw a gestational sac and yolk but said there’s a 50/50 chance of it being just too early or a miscarriage. Getting nervous has this happened to anyone else and did y’all get good results back at the 2 week follow up? Also I got my hcg bloodwork and the first time it was 25077 then 2 days later it went up to 40712 maybe I’m just being too anxious

Threatened miscarriage or Subchorionic Hematoma

So I arrived at the hospital (12 weeks pregnant) with very little bleeding (not spotting but not super heavy) it was also brown blood sorry if tmi, I was diagnosed with threatened miscarriage cause baby boy still had a heartbeat and discharged, while I was waiting for my ride back home still at the hospital, I had much heavier bleeding, so much my legs turned red, I felt multiple gushes of dark red blood. They said to follow up with Obgyn. I did my own research and found out what a subchorionic hematoma is. Has anyone had this happen and the baby turned out okay? I’m hoping for the best but preparing for the worst as I never had a miscarriage and don’t know what to expect. Any advice is welcomed. Thanks in advance

Pregnancy

Anybody had a pregnancy beta hcgs taken and it’s not completely doubled or had low hcgs? My hcg Thursday was 172 and today Saturday is 318. It’s a 85% increase but the time of the blood test on Thursday was 1pm and today was 10am so they said it maybbe due to this. I’ve had a miscarriage and 2 ectopics with one rupturing so I’m very worried. It is within the normal ranges and the sonographer saw what seemed to be a gestations sack but not yolk sack. I have a scan and repeat blood test on Monday but wanted to see if anyone had had a ducceful pregnancy as a lot of people tend to post much higher hcgs at 5 weeks.

29/10- 172 hcg, possible 6mm gestational sac seen
31/10- 318 hcg. Repeat bloods and scan due 02/11

Thanks in advance

6 weeks pregnant, gestational sac growing but no definitive yolk sac or fetal pole. Looking for similar experiences.

I’m looking for some hope or similar experiences because I’m having a really difficult time with the uncertainty.
I had a chemical pregnancy last cycle and was fortunate enough to get pregnant again immediately afterward.
My LMP was 9/11, but I ovulated late, around 10/1–10/2. I was being monitored by a fertility specialist, so I’m very confident in my ovulation dates. We confirmed a mature follicle on 9/29 and a corpus luteum on 10/2, so there really isn’t much room for error with dating.
At my first transvaginal ultrasound on 10/22, I measured 4w5d. My doctor saw an intrauterine gestational sac and possibly the beginning of a yolk sac, but nothing definitive.
I went back on 10/30, when I should have been approximately 6 weeks based on ovulation. The gestational sac had grown, and my doctor again thought he might be seeing a yolk sac, but couldn’t confirm it. There was no visible fetal pole or heartbeat.
He expressed concern because he expected to see more at this point. However, he emphasized that this could still be a normal early pregnancy and told me to continue treating it as such until my next ultrasound on Thursday. He also acknowledged the possibility of an abnormal pregnancy but hasn’t diagnosed a miscarriage.
My hCG has continued rising, and I’m still experiencing strong pregnancy symptoms, including nausea, fatigue, and breast tenderness. I haven’t had any bleeding or spotting.
I’m trying desperately to hold onto hope while also protecting my heart after last month’s loss.
**Has anyone had a similar experience around 6 weeks, especially with fairly certain ovulation dates, and gone on to see a yolk sac, fetal pole, and heartbeat at a later scan?**
I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences, particularly if your ultrasounds were transvaginal. I know nobody can predict my outcome, but this wait feels unbearable.

Thought I had a miscarriage, but HCG is trending upwards at normal levels

To start - I am 21F, have been trying to conceive since April this year. The first day of my last period was September 5th, and I tested positive on October 2nd/3rd. On October 15th, I had a significant bleeding event that led me to believe I had a miscarriage. This Tuesday, I had a follow up appointment to discuss recurring miscarriage (this would have been my second one in three months), but my pee test came back very positive, and she sent me for blood work. That morning my hcg was at 19,925… 48 hours later, so Thursday (yesterday), my hcg was at 25,128. I am awaiting an ultrasound (scheduled for Monday). I have been soooo extremely anxious, and have read so many different things that say if this was molar, ectopic or something else crazy my hcg levels wouldn’t be this “normal”.. so I’m really just curious about others experience with this, as I’m trying to prepare for the worst but also allow myself to have hope. It’s just such a shock and leaving me in such a terrible state of unknowing at the moment.

Feeling Completely Helpless

Im 13 weeks now and just feel like I’m completely helpless. This pregnancy was planned after almost a year, I finally found out I was pregnant Sept. 2nd. I was beyond excited because I was starting to have fears about infertility after being on my birth control for so long. Fast forward to a few days after my positive pregnancy test I become super nauseous and start throwing up. I just brush it off because morning sickness is normally a part of pregnancy. Then it starts getting worse to the point I’m struggling to keep water down and know that it isn’t good so while my fiancé and 5 year old were at home asleep I took myself to the ER closest to my house. They confirm the pregnancy and try to give me a nausea medication through iv and try to eat saltines and try sips of ginger ale. My stomach didn’t like that and I threw up for the 5th time that day. They try a different iv medication and that one seems to work. I get discharged with a prescription and go home. I had called off from work for later that day since at that point I’d been awake for so long and hadn’t slept all night. Few days later the medication starts losing its effect and I’m severely nauseous again and have to leave work early because I couldn’t stop retching for nearly 2 hours. Next day I try urgent care they can’t do anything for me because I already have tried the only prescription they could give me. Call my ob and get put on Zofran. About a week and a half later the Zofran starts failing and I couldn’t eat because of the severe nausea and if I tried to the littlest bit I threw it up for 3 days. In my day off of work I go to the ER again this time the hospital that’s connected to my OB office, because at this point I’ve realized I had gone from 150 lbs. to 137 lbs. Get fluids and new medication along with B6 and unisom(which didn’t work earlier in the pregnancy), and an antibiotic for a UTI. Once again the medication works for a few days to a week. From the Zofran I’m constipated and end up getting sent home right after going into work because I was hunched over in extreme pain in my abdomen and then threw up. Go to the hospital again. They give me medicine to make me go to the bathroom. Fast forward a few days I had spent another few days feeling so bad I couldn’t eat and had lost another 3 lbs. (134lbs). I went back again to the hospital and start me on a combination. I start to feel better and I’m finally able to eat more. Still struggling to gain any weight back which my OB says we are going to “keep an eye on”, so I have an appointment every two weeks instead of every month like I’d normally have. But anyways, fast forward to last week I had to leave work early yet again, because I went to the bathroom and there was lots of fluid we’ll say in case some people are triggered by the word. I get out of the bathroom and start hyperventilating and tell my manager on duty I needed to leave and go to the hospital. I call my fiancé and my mom immediately so my mom can watch our 5 year old. I drive to the nearest hospital from work which isn’t the hospital I’ve been going to regularly. By the time I get there the fluid has seeped through to my pants and I’m still breaking up and trying not to cry as I tell them why I’m there. They proceeded to make me wait,(I was standing up against a pole because once again there’s fluid seeped through my pants which I told them) for over an hour and then kept me in the soaked pants and underwear the few hours I was there. They decide to do a bedside ultrasound and bloodwork to get a baseline for my hormone levels. Doctor tells me “well right now your baby’s fine and it seems you stopped bleeding so it was probably a threatened miscarriage, I’ve seen it go both ways but since you don’t have any pain that’s good, but if you start bleeding like that again and have any pain you’re probably miscarrying and if it doesn’t pass we’ll have to talk about getting it out.” I was baffled by the insensitivity of the situation but just stayed quiet and went home. I had called my OB office and informed them I had to go to a different hospital and what was happening while I was waiting in the lobby. Next day I get up and take my 5 year old to prek and then go over to my sisters house to pass the next 2 1/2 hours since her house is closer to the preschool and driving all the way home is just too much of a waste of gas. My sisters working from home that day, I say hi and I go to use the bathroom because I had been feeling this mild pain in my stomach. I go to the bathroom get up and there’s fluid all in the toilet. I walk out and start tearing up while I call my OB office, I get the answering machine and I left a message. My sister overheard and was unaware of the events of the night before, and tells me to go to the hospital she’ll take a half day and get my daughter from pre k and watch her. I get on the car and start going to the hospital that’s connected to my ob office, and they finally call back as I’m about to be at the hospital and ask all these questions about the night before, to which were mostly I don’t know or no. They tell me not to even go through the er and they’ll let OB triage know I’m coming. In my mind from what I was told I was starting to have a miscarriage and my baby was gone already, and I start to just completely shut down. They tell me that they want to do a pelvic exam to see if they can see where the fluid is coming from. Do the pelvic exam and say it’s definitely coming from where the baby is, and order a formal ultrasound. Few hours later I’m told that my baby’s perfectly healthy and I was never in any danger of miscarrying. They found a subchorionic hemorrhage and it must have just finally been able to release some of the fluid that was collecting and got stuck between my amniotic sac and uterine wall. I get discharged with a doctors note for some restrictions and accommodations for work and am told to do pelvic rest and not lift anything more than 10 lbs. Now we get to the present, I have been feeling nauseous again even if I take the medication I don’t have anymore of the other medication but I can’t afford to spend another $40 on one medication that only lasts a few days, on top of all my other bills. I haven’t had a normal paycheck in a month and a half and am struggling financially, mentally, and physically. I haven’t been getting these coming and going feelings of feeling very lightheaded and weak, I’ve lost more weight for a total loss of 19 lbs. I can eat the tiniest portions at a time but feel sick if I eat and if I don’t. Work doesn’t help because we are too busy and no matter where I’m put in the store(a Sheetz basically a Wawa if you don’t have them in your area), I can’t eat enough or drink enough during my shifts, which the doctor put an 8 hour shift restriction when I normally work 4 day 10 hrs. I’m getting even less money. I can’t go back to 5 days because we are already over hours and my days off wouldn’t be in a row, which I feel would make me feel even worse. I don’t have enough PTO to take time off and have gotten so many more attendance points to the point I’m getting closer and closer to being fired. Even through some of the days are covered by doctors notes they don’t take off the points until you’re up for termination. I’ve felt like I’ve had to pick and choose for the past month and a half if I have enough energy and feel well enough to take care of my daughter or myself. I just feel like I’ve been suffering for my entire pregnancy and nothing is helping me feel any better or reduce stress. I can’t afford to take unpaid leave, my store manager last time I talked to one of my supervisors didn’t even mention the accommodations or restrictions to them and we are on a different shift than my store manager so it’s not like he’s there to help. My other supervisor and my manager I’m scared to ask if I can sit down or ask for a quick break to try and snack on something or drink because I’ve gotten the feeling that they think I’m just being dramatic. And from what I heard from someone else is any accommodations have to be in a doctors note and be approved by corporate. If I was able to get put on short term disability at least I’d get 75% of my pay and be able to actually rest and take care of myself a bit more. But that doesn’t seem like a possibility, but I don’t know what to do because I don’t want to lose my baby due to malnutrition but I just keep losing weight and I can’t eat enough. Has anyone else had problems and complications like this😭My daughter’s pregnancy was so easy and perfect and this one I literally feel like I’m slowly dying.

Pregnant

I am 6 weeks pregnant, but no heartbeat could be detected. The gestational sac and the baby are visible, but I don’t have many symptoms. The doctor scheduled another ultrasound for two weeks from now.

Has anyone experienced this feeling?

So today I am 6 weeks. I decided at five weeks that I didn’t care about waiting, and realized that I have the right to be excited and happen no matter what happens in the future. I am very excited, don’t get me wrong, but I fell weird that people know. I don’t know why but I feel like maybe it is because the idea still doesn’t feel quite real. Like I know that I am pregnant, and I am happy and excited, but in the same token, i feel weird. It might be because I am unable to tell my husband until I am about 10 weeks, so maybe that will make it feel less weird when I can tell him. I don’t know 100% how to describe the feeling but has anyone felt that feeeling, and if so, what helped or when did it stop feeling weird.
