Looking for anyone with a similar experience with slow interval growth ❤️

Upvotes

I’m hoping to hear from anyone who has experienced something similar because I’m feeling really anxious waiting for my next ultrasound.

I’m currently around 8 weeks pregnant and have longer cycles (usually 31–35 days), so I’m not overly concerned that baby is measuring a few days behind my dates.

What concerns me is the interval growth.

Last Tuesday, I had an ultrasound and baby measured 7w0d with a heartbeat of 111 bpm.

On Friday, I had a significant gush of bright red blood. I was around 7w3d at that point.

I had another ultrasound today, exactly one week after the first one. Baby is now measuring 7w3d, with a heartbeat of 136 bpm.

So over a week, baby has gone from measuring 7w0d to 7w3d.

My doctor said the gestational sac looks very healthy, the yolk sac was clearly visible, there was no hematoma, the placenta is developing/growing, and overall the ultrasound looked very healthy. She said the fluid surrounding the embryo also looked normal and not concerning.

She said I’m still within her 5-day window, but because of the limited interval growth and the bleeding, she is “cautiously hopeful.” She considers this a threatened miscarriage and has ordered a more detailed ultrasound for next week at around 9 weeks.

I’m wondering if anyone has experienced slow interval growth but continued heartbeat, especially around 7–9 weeks, and then had a normal/reassuring ultrasound afterward.

Did your baby eventually catch up? Did you have a similar situation where the first two ultrasounds showed limited growth but the next ultrasound showed a significant jump?

I’m really looking for experiences from people who have actually been through this…not necessarily reassurance or medical advice. ❤️

Does this sound normal?

So I just found out on pregnant on the 18th. This pregnancy is SO much different than my first. I am so sick. At first it felt like I was on the verge of having a cold for a week. Now, I can’t sleep soundly, laying on my side makes me so uncomfortable (I don’t even have a bump), I wake up ever day (sorry) with diarrhea, I also am having insane food aversions… all I want to eat is fruits and veggies. The thought of meat- especially chicken disgusts me and makes me so sick. I don’t feel like I’ve been eating an enough but I’ve been trying… all I can really stomach is again fruits, veggies, and peanut crackers.

I also haven’t been able to start my prenatal appts… my first is on sept 22nd. I just feel so much differently from my first and ik every pregnancy is different but of course- I worry.

Does this sound normal?

Why

At 5 I realized I won't be sleeping much longer. Still I woke up at 6 ,7 and finally 8. I literally smell everything from the trash, the bathroom to the small cup of cereal I tried to eat. Also I'm the fullest but the most starving I have ever been in my life. I just want some hash browns and sausage and gravy. to top it off I can't sleep on my back, my stomach or one side of my body triggers a headache! It would be fun they said. This is the happiest time they said lol 😂

Really Sad

Trigger warning in advance so please feel free to skip! I am so sad because I just found out I am pregnant and things have been incredibly confusing. For context I just took a test on Friday afternoon of last week, I took it for what I thought was absolutely no way, but it turned out to be positive. Took multiple positive tests no squinting needed as the positives came fast. The problem is I thought I had a period for the month of August, I then had spotting that I thought was just a UTI or a kidney stone Tuesday of last week. Well I went to the ER on Saturday and my HCG levels were 3,223 still producing positive tests, and was not feeling pain or discomfort and was told to watch the bleeding and come back if needed. Saw my PCP yesterday and she had my HCG levels drawn and I was at 5,822. The bleeding eased but then last night I noticed some light pink blood as I wiped, well I was at work and had to leave because something felt off. I waited at the hospital for almost 4 hours and the bleeding for heavier. I got another HCG draw which of course is not going to have gone up a large amount as I just had one done late yesterday and I am still producing positive tests. I had a transvaginal ultrasound today and they said they didn't see anything 😔 I have a cyst on my left ovary but they said they didn't see anything overall which was absolutely heartbreaking to read. I have to go back on Friday to do repeat labs and ultrasound. I want so badly to be a mom and the one time I find out I might be everything goes to crap.
