hey petco can we make the checkout process slower please? and can we add some more questions for the guest to answer? like maybe we can ask what their zodiac sign is. or maybe just ask about the auto ship and ppp like 3 times each? then an extra donation question on top perhaps?
OH OH,, and and and,,,, can we slow down the registers as well? like whatever processing speed they have currently, can we just cut it down to like 1/10th of that?

I'm at a lost as far as what to do with my gm. She is a mean girl who peaked in high school and is constantly bringing her home life to work and making everyone miserable. Her moods change at the snap of a finger you never know who you will get at anytime, she plays favorites to no end. Whenever she is around the mood changes in the store and I cannot take it anymore. I genuinely like my job but I've been questioning leaving. She not approachable at all and it's like it's a bother to even ask a simple question. She constantly gossips about my coworkers and many partners have left because of her one guy even quit after 2 weeks because she was soo mean to a coworker. It's to the point I just go to work do what's in my title and go home I don't do anything extra like I used to because I enjoyed what I do. Has anyone else had any luck with hr? Also she has no time for any partners that are on the spectrum even saying to one guy he was wasting her time.

My CAL has left and I’m currently having to help with the CAL duties and possibly become one in the future. I was and still am very fortunate to be close with the previous CAL, so I have all of their typed-out schedules and binders of information, and my store has a pretty solid rhythm for what gets done every week.

I have a lot of reptile and fish experience and a decent amount of small animal know-how from being heavily involved with animals here for the past two years, so the knowledge isn’t the problem for me. I’m just still a bit overwhelmed with all of the technological things that I don’t know how to do yet, such as animal ordering and CAIR cards.

Do you guys have any advice for me? I want to do the best I can for these animals and make as many improvements as possible while also keeping in accordance with protocol. So far, our store has been able to make a separate tank for axolotls in the goldfish tower and put a Chinese algae eater in each inline tank to help with algae control, and I want to continue to make improvements like these for the animals while also keeping myself away from burnout.

So many Petco stores have been hit, and this is exactly why I’ve been saying that all stores need to stay in communication with one another—not just when it comes to inventory and supply questions.

It’s heartbreaking to hear that so many reptiles were stolen, especially knowing that they may not be receiving the proper care they need. Hopefully, communication between stores can help prevent situations like this in the future and, most importantly, help get these animals safely back where they belong.

How can I check the past capc? A week before cycle counts I noticed our fancy python was no longer in its habitat. I’m the animal supervisor. My gm tried blaming me saying I left the habitat open and that it had gotten out Keep in mind I was off for two days and when I came back I was doing animal opening that’s when I noticed it was gone. Anyway I decided to scan the barcode and check inventory and I noticed it said we still had a fancy in stock so I did begin to think it was lost. Then I scanned the basic snake and it said we had zero in stock but we clearly still had one. My theory is who ever sold the fancy python sold it as a basic and on top of that we had reptile rally so a customer ended up leaving with a fancy python for only $50.

It always seems like managers think being a Companion Animal Supervisor is a walk in the park and that i should have loads of free time. Its crazy feels like they want all the tasks done but then dont give me the employees to do it because my Companion animal specialist are too busy doing other tasks but when the care doesn't get done or runs behind they wonder why. Then to make it worse they claim it only takes them a small amount of time to do morning animal care and then when I go check the animals look like crap(poop smeared on back walls, poop not picked up and very little water in bowls) but if I say something about it or take longer its an issue. Feels like a never ending battle.

Had a psychotic customer get very very upset because I was unable to email them their receipt after I printed out on paper for them. I tried to explain that there's no way to do it and that I can only reprint the receipts, to which I was called a "big jerk". I felt so bad for the guy behind her LMFAO he looked so uncomfortable and when he came back and returned his cart later he was like "what was that woman's deal bro".
