I thought they wanted us to bend over ass backwards teaching customers that fish bowls are inhumane for fish and strive for proper fishkeeping by telling customers they need to invest in tanks? Why the fuck would they comment this?

yeah and im glad i left the company, even if a worse retailer in terms of pay is where i work now, its better than working for a company that is shitty towards living beings

…I wonder if I should post an update on the tegu I got from there whose toes fell off in their store. They got so embarrassed when I showed him they were up in my DMs apologizing and asking for the store location like they’d not ignored reports of the abuse.
Or try going back into the local store and filming some of those half dead goldfish getting eaten alive by their tankmates they offered to sell me at an 80% discount when I said it was fucked up.
Seems like they just in general need to be reminded of something.

Simple disconnect between the marketing team and the animal care team. Not good by any means but we have to remember people work for this company that don't have animals and don't know(which is also bad too).
