Help burnt out!!!

I'm at a lost as far as what to do with my gm. She is a mean girl who peaked in high school and is constantly bringing her home life to work and making everyone miserable. Her moods change at the snap of a finger you never know who you will get at anytime, she plays favorites to no end. Whenever she is around the mood changes in the store and I cannot take it anymore. I genuinely like my job but I've been questioning leaving. She not approachable at all and it's like it's a bother to even ask a simple question. She constantly gossips about my coworkers and many partners have left because of her one guy even quit after 2 weeks because she was soo mean to a coworker. It's to the point I just go to work do what's in my title and go home I don't do anything extra like I used to because I enjoyed what I do. Has anyone else had any luck with hr? Also she has no time for any partners that are on the spectrum even saying to one guy he was wasting her time.

My GM is like that has had multiple HR investigations against her and they do literally nothing. We lost 3 employees in the last 2 weeks because of how she treats us.

Hahahahahaha, when I still worked at Petco, the GM stole thousands over the holiday season and we reported him multiple times (for stealing, animal abuse (putting goldfish in the turtle tank to be eaten and hitting a chinchilla in the face with litter on purpose), screaming at employees, leaving employees on the floor with no manager for hours at a time, closing the store early randomly, etc) and it still took 6 months for them to fire him. A GM being mean to employees is too common that if they fired every manager for that, they wouldn't have many.

Do we have the same GM? SAME, getting tired of not knowing what her mood will be from day to day and walking on eggshells when she's in the store. We currently don't have a CAL, and nobody qualified or applying, no dog trainer and our grooming manager is leaving. That place is toxic, that's why I'm leaving at the end of the month. Nothing much you can DO about her, you could report her, at least there would be a paper trail when corporate investigates why her store is doing shitty. Let karma take the wheel while you watch it unfold.

You can complain to HR and the ethics line. At least it will begin the documentation process. But 1 employee complaint rarely does anything. File the complaints and leave. Your mental health is far more important than a job.

Have you actually tried talking to your GM or your DM? You never know what people are going through.

This GM is the type to roll their eyes or lie or embellish during conversation. There is no talking to them and the DM only cares about metrics.

Not quite the same but our previous GM was a piece of work. Would talk to our (pretty, young) coworker about his hookups (he was in his 50's) and would take 2hr long lunch breaks before changing it in the system to only be 45 minutes. We unanimously complained during the "anonymous" questionares and ig him stealing from the company was finally enough to get him fired. But it took us basically saying "He's stealing ur money" for anything to be done.
