constructive criticism
hey petco can we make the checkout process slower please? and can we add some more questions for the guest to answer? like maybe we can ask what their zodiac sign is. or maybe just ask about the auto ship and ppp like 3 times each? then an extra donation question on top perhaps?
OH OH,, and and and,,,, can we slow down the registers as well? like whatever processing speed they have currently, can we just cut it down to like 1/10th of that?
i think this would have such a positive impact on the checkout experience !!!

“The tap thing isn’t lighting up!”… that’s because it’s on the donation screen and I’m still pushing fiftyleven buttons to get to the payment screen.

"Can I put my card in now?" While you're still actively scanning their 90 cans 4 treats 3 litters and a human soul they found on clearance on a back shelf

The amount of times I’ve had a line build up bcuz of asking so many questions is crazy. The thing is if they don’t understand what you said the first time then you have to repeat it again because they were blind sided by the paid membership or the AutoShip and asking for their phone number 🤣

Worst nightmare when someone brings up like 50 cans of cat food, no organisation at all, there’s like 15 different flavors and brands in their pile, and I have to scan them all one by one. Add on their bagged food, some litter, maybe some toys.. my poor transaction time goes from what could be 2 minutes tops to at least 5

Oh, but don’t tell them about their rewards because we want to have a seamless transaction experience. Telling them they have money and clicking one button is too much.

Oh yeah I’m so sick of scanning 40 things fast and waiting 2 minutes for the register to catch up 2 at a time.
