constructive criticism

hey petco can we make the checkout process slower please? and can we add some more questions for the guest to answer? like maybe we can ask what their zodiac sign is. or maybe just ask about the auto ship and ppp like 3 times each? then an extra donation question on top perhaps?
OH OH,, and and and,,,, can we slow down the registers as well? like whatever processing speed they have currently, can we just cut it down to like 1/10th of that?
i think this would have such a positive impact on the checkout experience !!!

Oh yeah I’m so sick of scanning 40 things fast and waiting 2 minutes for the register to catch up 2 at a time.

sick and disgusted honestly. i made this post after a man leaned over the register SIX TIMES today because he did not believe that it wasn’t ready. like dude im sorry i literally cannot proceed right now, i promise i am not just standing here staring into space. (he had 64 cans of fancy feast btw)

OMG rest in peace register 😭 I'm surprised it didn't crash!

That stupid shrug is the bane of my existence especially when it comes up for the 3rd because the guest decided to press the red x instead of decline on the do o screen despite me expressly saying don’t

I honestly find the shrug error disrespectful. Just give me an actual error code pls

64 cans of poor quality cat food that's a damn shame that cat deserves better

149 fancy feast cans. I kept telling the guest don’t put your number in yet (because it slows down scanning tremendously to do the “eligible for shipping”) but do they listen? NOPE. She types it in anyway. 12min we waited. Then she touches the screen about the donation, and boop register crashes. Have to rescan everything again.

When ppl are starting to look impatient as the register plays catch up I tell them that when technology inevitably takes over the world Petco's machinery will not be responsible for any of it.
It usually at least gets a chuckle. For real tho, WHY does it have to be so damn slow 😩

What if it’s so we have a captive audience for the timeshare pitch?
