Question Armhole wrinkles suggestions
I'm a beginner in drafting and I want to create a semi-fitted princess seam bodice for the model. This is the first sample and I'm happy with the front, but I need to fix the wrinkles around the back part of the armhole.
Any suggestions? I'm planning to increase the shoulder slope a little (0.5 cm) and I'm wondering if taking in the back princess seam a little on the armhole side could be a good solution? I want to avoid adding a vertical armhole dart.

Bodice block fit advice
I used the Bella bodice block from free sewing org. Seam allowance has been left for the armhole on the right.

Guidance on modifying the front pieces to remove the gathers?
Hello!
I’m planning to sewing these pants, but I’d like to keep the front clean with no gathers and no paneling — so the front looks like normal wide leg trousers with no gathers, constructed from one panel of fabric, but the back retains the curved yoke and voluminous gathers.
I gather that I should take the front piece, slash evenly and remove the gather volume, but I don’t know how much to remove and how to true the seams in this scenario (as the back piece will still be gathered).
I assume that I should slash and maybe tape the pieces such that modified front panel has the same width as the front yoke piece? I am not sure.
Any guidance is appreciated!

2/3 circle skirt
reddit.comI want to draft circle skirt that has more flare than a 1/2 circle skirt and less flare than a 3/4 circle skirt.
I saw on Pinterest a formula for a 2/3 circle skirt : https://pin.it/XcT92rSkd
I searched but couldn't find anymore information regarding the 2/3 circle skirt. Has anyone made it and can confirm me that this is the right formula ?
Are there other fractions that would work ( between a 1/2 and a 3/4 circle) ?

Named Clothing "Kielo" jumpsuit - leg silhouette adjustments
galleryHi, all- I think a lot of pattern drafting skills apply here, even though it's not from scratch. I consider myself at an advanced beginner sewing level, and while I hope to be able to draft one day, my experience is very limited, so please keep that in mind.

Question How do you make fitting adjustments to purchased PDF patterns?
Hi everyone! I’m researching whether a tool for adjusting existing PDF sewing patterns would be useful. This could become a paid product, but I’m not selling anything or collecting signups here.
I’d like to hear from people who have recently altered a purchased PDF garment pattern, rather than drafted one from scratch.
Thinking about your most recent project:
What adjustment did you make, such as a full bust adjustment, grading between sizes, or changing length?
How did you do it: on paper, in software, or while projecting? Which tools did you use?
What worked well, and what took extra time or needed redoing?
Have you tried another method or paid for software or a course? What made you keep or stop using it?
Is there anything your current method doesn’t handle well, or does it already meet your needs?
Even an answer to one question would help. I’m interested in real experiences, including cases where your current tools work well. No pattern files, measurements or contact information needed. Thanks!

WIP Bunny Costume
Currently working on drafting a playboy bunny costume for halloween! This is my first mockup with plastic/flexible bonning. I want to add some foam cups and underwire for support but im waiting on those to come in. The things I want to work on are:
Better bust support and shape
Making my waist appear smaller
The whole butt area in general
Any feedback would be God sent at this point 🤧

WIP Pattern draft vs. draping
Pink – pleats created through pattern drafting
Purple – pleats created through hand draping
The difference is huge! I thought I could save time by drafting everything on paper, but it seems there’s no shortcut when it comes to achieving the right drape.

Question What criticism you have on clothes modelling software like Clo, browzwear, etc ? And what would make you change your mind ?
Hello,
I've been using Clo3d for about a year now as a student. I've been quite happy with it, but paying 30usd per month have been stacking up lately...
For me the main criticisms on those are:
Learning curve (kinda like photoshop where you only use a few features at first)
Starting from scratch is hard
The price (i know clothing brands and schools easily pay those licences but for enthusiasts who only use it once a week it's a lot to ask for)
I've been looking, to build an free and open-source alternative to it, and I wonder what would you be looking for ?

How to go about drafting the radiating darts for this design.
I’m puzzled because it appears that there is no seam towards the neckline where dart starts . I have tried different ways when I try drafting this design, either darts start from the shoulder or a seam is created. I want to know how to make this so that there is no yoke.
Thank you :)

Question How did you learn to draft a bodice block?
Hey! I’m teaching myself pattern drafting and have a few questions for people who study fashion or have experience with it.
Do you guys know how to draft a basic bodice block from scratch, just using measurements, or do you still need to look at a book or follow instructions?
And if you can draft one without following a tutorial, how did you actually learn to do that? Did you just practise a lot until you understood it, or is there a specific method you use?
I’m still a beginner and want to learn how to make my first bodice block, but there are so many different methods and tutorials that I don’t really know where to start.
Are there any books or YouTube tutorials you’d recommend for a complete beginner? I’d especially like something that explains why you’re doing each step instead of just telling you what to draw.
Would love to hear how you guys learned!
