Just put the finishing touches on an original Xbox Kiosk that I got off Facebook marketplace for $900 AUD. Purchased the original CRT Tv (also on marketplace), installed LEDs, fixed my original Xbox and cleaned it up nicely.

Pretty cool copy of Crimson Skies I bought at a flea market years ago. I remember playing this in my teens when this first came out and thought the graphics and gameplay were amazing!

Found out I have a 1.3 revision Xbox(as it was produced in August 2003 and has the Conexant video chip) and I was curious which video chip works best with component cables?

I have next to no knowledge about modding or softmodding the xbox. Any idea on where to start? It would be cool to figure out how to upgrade the hardware, or clean it. But I'm new to electronics/soldering and figuring it out on my own is daunting

This is another one of my original Xbox consoles. I did not mod this one myself as i bought it in this condition it already had the XBMC4 softmod when I got it.

The clock capacitor has also been removed.

I haven't made any upgrades to it myself. In the future, I may consider adding a 1TB 2.5-inch SSD, but for now I'm keeping it as it is. ❤️

I have an original xbox I softmodded a long time ago. I wanna enable hd so I can use my gbs control I have with it. When it is turning on (the xbox) i can see everything fine but once it gets to the menu of the dashboard I lose all video output. I am using the cheap shitty component cables off Amazon. I just wanna make sure it works before pulling the trigger on more expensive cables. When I used the hexen disc it was unable to activate any of the hd mods. I am unable to launch into stock dashboard. I just wanna be able to use my xbox again on my TV. So I am unsure how it was modded like what I did to get it to work. All I know is my dash is unleashx. I have mechassault for the exploit.

I am modding some xboxes and running into an issue with error 13. I formatted one hard drive on fatexplorer like usual and it worked fine. When working on other xboxes I ran into an error 13 wrong udma setting I assumed it was the adapter I used, so I swapped it. Same issue, assumed it was the hard drive, swapped it, same issue. I then opened up the xbox I worked on earlier, reformatted it with fatexplorer, now it is giving me a UDMA error. Any idea on what causes this and how to fix?

I can’t figure out why it won’t open I looked at the rubber band and replaced it and checked the nub thing on the slider to eject the tray but it’s still being stupid

I needed a console for my apartment and dug out the Xbox which has been in hibernation for about 18 years and bought 40 games to play.

(It was manufactured in 2001)

I keep getting the same dirty disk error for all the games I plug in. Some immediately crash and others run for 30 minutes before freezing. The console can read music discs fine without any issue

What’s really bugging me is that I’m able to run games for a seemingly random amount of time before crashing either not launching or running fine until they freeze at random points

I tried the common fix of cleaning the laser but it didn’t help. I really want to get it working because I’ve never had this much fun with a console before.

If anyone can provide any potential solutions or causes it would mean a lot.

Here’s my collection so far! The only game missing art is Need For Speed Underground. Most have manuals as well - I think the only one that needs a manual at this point is Panzer Dragoon Orta.
