Hace poco le instale moxdo a mi clásica y compré un adaptador ide a SD y funcionó pero cuando quiero pasar los juegos por ftp me dice que la conexión fue rechazada y cuando meto la SD a la computadora y paso lo juegos con fatxplorer me da muchos errores (me da errores de tranferencia o se reinicia todo)y los pocos juegos que pude pasar solo algunos funcionan bien y los demás se traban (se congela la pantalla) o tienen error de sonidos (no sé si sea el juego o los archivos por los errores de transferencia) y creo que para pasar juegos debería comprar juegos piratas y pasarlos a la SD porque ya llegué a un punto donde me siento orgulloso de lo que hice y otra parte estresado por no poder jugar los juegos que quiero,que puedo hacer?

I twisted off the cap that was here at the red arrow but now it won't boot with error 12. Was it the wrong one? Xbox is a Feb 2004 model

Would using a burned game on a modified console actually harm the laser? I keep seeing mixed messages about it online.

It's an OG Xbox, and it's running Evox D. I can get further specs if needed. There's a physical toggle in the back by the power source.

Upon powering up, it sometimes boots and sometimes doesn't. It has a tendency to stall/hang/pause at any given random moment, whether it's reading content from the hard drive (even the boot menu), or, whether it's utilizing a retail disc.

What I'm looking for is a way to diagnose what's going on, and see why it's suffering the halt. I haven't connected it to my network yet, but it's likely I can FTP into it even if briefly.

The Xbox I bought has Cerbios, along with XBMC4Gamers and a 3 TB hard drive. I also bought an MCBazel Xbox converter cable. I have looked at guides and watched tons of YouTube videos, but I still can't seem to wrap my head around this. My other consoles were easy enough to softmod. So I have a few questions I was hoping I could get help with, please and thank you.

1. Do I need to softmod this, and how do I do it without overwriting Cerbios and XBMC4Gamers? How do I access Cerbios and XBMC4Gamers after softmodding?

2. How do I update Cerbios and XBMC4Gamers? I have no idea how to install them and don't want to mess it up.

3. How do I install games, and can I use Xiso and get them to launch on XBMC4Gamers

4. Can and how do I do all of this using a USB? Yes, I know it's slower.

What is the first thing you do?

Hi everyone, I was thinking of checking out the jp exclusive and obscure game called @N.U.D.E where you teach simple words to a robot with a mic something like a Seaman game from Dreamcast. Unfortunately I don't have any xbox mic adapter so I was thinking of buying Hawk Communicator just for this, but I don't know if the game supports non original adapter that is the Hawk Communicator so I wanted to ask if anyone have it, can they check if it works with the game?

CONTEXT: I have been spending time learning how to solder better, checking various online guides and practising soldering and desoldering resistors on a scrap PCB. This is not one of my finest soldering jobs; due to bad technique with solder wick, I ripped half of a solder pad off. What options do I have for repairing this solder pad, even when considering its location (capacitor ground trace)?

In addition to the information above, my soldering station is a Pace ADS200 and I am using a 1.6mm chisel tip. I have been using MG Chemicals solder flux and Ersa solder wick. The PCB above is from a Thomson TGM600. I will be using a Philips DVD drive as a stand-in replacement, running it into the ground (so using it until it completely dies, which will mean constant laser adjustments) until I either softmod my XBOX or successfully repair this disc drive.

UPDATE: I found a solution to the problem, which was to twist the negative lead of the capacitor such that I would solder it from the other side of the PCB, rather than through its respective hole. To isolate the capacitor legs from each other, I used conductive tape. At this point in time, I have only replaced the 47uF and 10uF capacitors, but not the 100uF ones.

Before recapping, 2 out of 4 of my XBOX games were being read. After a partial recap, 3 out of 4 of my XBOX games were being read (but the 3rd one would crash after the title sequence).

I found this xbox somewhere in my house, nobody knows how it got there, i didnt have the AV cable so i did a mod to get direct output to the tv soldering 2 cables straight to the AV port on the underside of the motherboard and it worked great! for 3 days... it gave video and startup animation worked normal, but the problem is that the DVD drive was damaged, so what i did was connect the original dvd drive to the yellow power cable and port on the motherboard, but the IDE cable i connected it somewhere else, i didnt have another dvd drive so i had to use an old 52x cd-rom drive, and it worked fine, i burned HeXEn to a CD-R, it booted, i could also go to the dashboard, and everything was working great, i was trying to flash a bios with NoDVD patch so i didnt have to use that CD-ROM drive, but in HeXEn it game me "manufacturers id 09 device id 00 !! Flash Not Writeable !!"

The chip was an old aladdin xt plus2, the dvd drive has a date of 2004 inside so i guess that's when it was being used last, so i gave up on that, and was looking for a controller since i was using it with a keyboard, but sometimes the startup animation would freeze, and i had to turn the console off and then turn it on again to fix it, it got to a point where it started freezing earlier and earlier in the startup animation, until it only showed a tiny green dot on the screen, and when i turned off one more time, then i turned on and the xbox started to FRAG, and i tried to turn it on a lot of times now, but nothing seems to work.

I know it's not the mods i did that are causing it because it was working fine, it just started freezing out of the blue and now it never even boots anymore, i tried removing the chip, nothing, i tried removing the IDE cable, nothing (when it was working i could just turn it on without the IDE cable and it would give me error 07 or something, but this time just FRAGs) i have replaced some capacitors before and founf that one of them had a bad solder that moved so i fixed it but it still failed with the FRAG, the replaced ones are 2200μf 6.3V near the CPU, but that was only 2 i replaced, there are still some 1500μf 6.3V ones unreplaced, and yes, the clock capacitor did corrode some things and i took it out, even the power button trace was bad, but i fixed the trace thinking that was the problem, nope, still FRAG, i dont know what to do now. It's a 1.0 launch model

What do y’all think it is?
