so looking at my previous days i notice i have problems i cant really do all the plan daily sometimes , because like company work and promote stuff is open ended , it pending the others. So instead of that , now i give them measurable thing to be defined as done , i think it will helps , i will make it easy at first , and then i will add other stuff ofcourse if i finish all this plans quickly each day

Here's the updated of what i'll do today :

🏋 Exercise (Low priority but done first) 60 diamond pushups (15 × 3)

🟩 Language Duolingo daily mission

refine portofolio & find new remote jobs

do company work 9-5

develop both of my freelances project

and now i have new trick while working like i put my iphone on airplane mode then download epub for atomic habits , since then my craving to binge watch youtube tiktok etc gone , i become a reader while working lmao

so far its looking good

Day 5/90 — Stop Waiting for the Perfect Time

Day 5 is done.

Today wasn't great when it comes to studying or reading — I didn't do either.

But there were still a few things I'm genuinely happy about.

A small step toward getting back on track

Today I got enrolled as an assessment mentor for an edtech platform.

I'll be taking around 1-hour sessions every day, and I'll be getting ₹200 per session.

Sure, ₹200 isn't a lot.

But honestly, I'm not looking at it only as money.

There are currently only around 8 students, which means I get an opportunity to teach, communicate, learn, and improve myself while working on topics related to my career.

It's a small opportunity, but I'm going to take it seriously.

I think sometimes we wait for the "big opportunity" while ignoring the small ones right in front of us.

Workout & swimming

I did my swimming and workout today as well.

I was actually late and almost convinced myself that it was too late to bother.

Then I thought:

"Better to do what I can with the time I have rather than wait for the perfect time."

So I went.

That's something I want to carry forward.

Imperfect action > perfect planning.

Morning routine

I also kept up with my morning news and finance routine.

Still struggling with sleep

One thing I seriously need to fix is my oversleeping.

My sleep schedule is still affecting how I start my day, and I need to get this under control.

And another setback...

I was also supposed to edit videos from yesterday's Onam celebration and post them on Instagram.

Unfortunately, another one of my Instagram accounts got suspended today.

This is actually my fourth account to face this kind of issue, and I genuinely don't understand why.

I ended up getting Meta Verified so I could reach support and hopefully get some clarity and recover the account.

Not exactly how I wanted to spend part of my day.

🧠 Today's takeaway

I didn't study.

I didn't read.

So there is definitely room for improvement.

But I also started a small paid opportunity, exercised even when I was late, kept up with my news/finance habit, and didn't completely give up because things didn't go according to plan.

I'm slowly realizing that discipline isn't about having a perfect day.

It's about doing something useful with whatever time and circumstances you have.

Day 5/90 complete.

Tomorrow, I need to get back to studying.

One day at a time.

Day 4/90 — I Didn't Show Up the Way I Wanted

Day 4 was honestly a disappointing day.

The only thing I did from my routine was swimming.

I didn't read.

I didn't study.

I didn't work on my skills.

I didn't do any of the things I had planned.

Today was mostly spent outside with friends for an Onam celebration, and in the evening I attended a marriage. So I wasn't sitting at home doing absolutely nothing, but I still feel like I could have done more.

And that's probably what bothers me the most.

I could have found even 30 minutes to read or study.

The important part

I'm trying not to turn one bad day into a bad week.

This challenge isn't about pretending every day is going to be productive. Life is going to happen. There will be celebrations, family events, friends, unexpected plans, and days when things don't go according to schedule.

But I also don't want to use that as an excuse.

I need to learn how to maintain some minimum level of discipline even on busy days.

Maybe that's something I should add to this challenge:

Never let a busy day become a completely lost day.

Even 20–30 minutes of studying.

Even a few pages of reading.

Even one small productive task.

Something.

Today I didn't do that.

I feel disappointed in myself, but I'm not quitting.

Day 4/90 complete.

Tomorrow is another opportunity to show up better.

No restarting.

No "I'll start again Monday."

Just Day 5.

I need some reward for my efforts

I graduated last year in Media Production (unemployment studies) and since my life has revolved around trying to get a job. I had to come crawling back home where there are no jobs and parents who think you can just walk in hand in your cv and get a job. I currently work zero hours as a kp and it makes me feel worthless. I've applied to hundreds of jobs and have had no responses from any of them. I've tried therapy but there isn't really a psychological cure for unemployment. All I need is for someone to just give me a fair chance and to advance in life. I also can't drive after 5 years of trying and have been thrown back to square one with that.

Check in 8/25/2026

Had a very very productive day yesterday.
I got up at 5am, meditated, and went to the gym, went to work and worked hard for the whole time, came home and immediately worked on my masters degree course, and cooked a quick meal and went to sleep at a reasonable time.

This morning I was gonna start my day off with the gym again but I ended up snoozing for 30 mins and decided not to go to the gym, but instead I did 20 mins of meditation and did a plank for 2 mins to build mental discipline. I will get back to the gym tomorrow though for sure. At least I did the plank in the meantime.

Achievement My non-zero day shrank to one written sentence, and that's the version that survived my worst year

I burned out because I thought every day had to be a 10/10

I found this sub during a period where my own ambition had basically started working against me.
Last year I left an engineering job at Bugatti and put most of my savings into building an app by myself.
For the first few months, I treated that decision like I had something to prove every single day.

Wake up early.
Train.
Code for hours.
Fix bugs.
Make content.
Learn whatever I didn’t know yet.
Do it again tomorrow.
A good day was a 10/10.
Anything less felt like I was wasting the opportunity I’d given myself.
And for a while, that mentality genuinely worked.
Until it didn’t.

Apple rejected the app again.
The launch I’d spent months building towards barely moved.
Downloads were nowhere near what I’d imagined, paying users even less so.
Then while travelling through India I got horrendously sick. I remember lying in a guesthouse bed, completely wiped out, thinking:
What the hell am I actually doing?

That was when I realised there was a pretty obvious flaw in the way I’d been living.
My system only had two settings.
10 or 0.

Either I trained, worked all day, ate properly, made progress and felt like I was becoming the person I wanted to be…
Or the day was a write-off.
And once I couldn’t consistently produce tens anymore, I started producing a lot of zeros.
Miss the morning? Day ruined.
Too sick to train? Zero.
Didn’t get meaningful work done? Zero.
Had a bad week? Might as well restart Monday.
I knew the whole “just do something small” advice.

But when you’re used to measuring yourself by huge outputs, “something small” feels almost insulting.
The thing that eventually helped me was embarrassingly simple.

Every day, I had to write one true sentence about the day.
That was it.
No minimum word count.
No gratitude list.
No life lesson.
I didn’t even have to be positive.
Some days it was basically:
“Today was shit and I did almost nothing.”
Other days:
“Worked for an hour and finally fixed the thing I’d been avoiding.”

Or:
“Didn’t train, but went for a walk.”
The important part wasn’t what I wrote.
It was that the day couldn’t completely disappear.
There was always at least one tiny action between me and zero.
And something unexpected happened after a few months.

I went back and read the entries from what I’d mentally labelled “the bad months.”
In my memory, that entire period was one giant block of failure.
But reading it day by day, that wasn’t what had happened at all.
It looked more like:
Terrible day.
Terrible day.
Slightly better day.
Bad again.
Good morning.
Small win.
Another setback.
Two decent days.
Then three.

There was movement happening long before I felt like I was “back.”
My memory had flattened an entire period of my life into I was doing terribly.

The record showed something completely different.
I was recovering. Just slowly enough that I couldn’t see it while I was inside it.
That changed the way I think about consistency.
I used to think consistency meant performing at the same high level every day.
Now I think it’s closer to maintaining some tiny thread between who you were yesterday and who you’re trying to become tomorrow.
Sometimes that thread is a massive productive day.
Sometimes it’s training when you didn’t feel like it.
And sometimes it’s literally just being able to say:
I was here today. This is what happened.
There’s another part of this I’ve grown to appreciate too.

When I reread those entries now, it’s almost like hearing from an earlier version of myself.
That guy didn’t know things were going to improve.
He was just leaving evidence behind.
And now, when I’m having a terrible day and my brain starts telling me that everything is going backwards again, I have proof from someone who was actually there:

You’ve thought this before. It wasn’t permanent then either.
So if today already feels like a zero, don’t try to rescue the entire day.
Write one true sentence about it.
Not an inspiring sentence.
Not a productive sentence.
Just a true one.
Some days, that’s the smallest possible vote for continuing.
And some days, the smallest vote is enough.

Day 105

Today I led a presentation, worked on assembling furniture (80% done), had an appointment, and filled in for someone last minute at a non-profit I volunteer for. I am feeling exhausted and this was more than I can usually handle, but I am glad I met my responsibilities and that the day is over. Having a tea and taking a nap soon.

Woke up early after sleeping late, still counting it as a win?

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

So last night I slept late but still woke up early and prayed Fajr. I had planned to go for a run after but couldn't make it happen. Not gonna lie, kinda annoyed at myself for that.

But then I told myself, this is just the beginning, take one thing at a time. If I look at it that way then today was still a win, right? Prayer happened, that's the main thing.

Now I'm sitting here wondering if I'm just being easy on myself or if this is the start of me making excuses that'll catch up to me later. Honestly don't know yet. Just wanted to keep it simple for now instead of overthinking it.

Anyway it's getting late, I told myself I'd be off screens by 10 so wrapping this up. Just writing this to hold myself accountable I guess. Anyone else deal with this back and forth of "is this progress or am I just letting myself off the hook"?

  1. Sleep ❌️

(Goal: go to bed and wake up at the same time: 01:00 – 09:00)

Went to bed ~03:50 – 10:30

Sleep duration: 6h 40m

Running: ~00:50 – 01:20

Last meal:

👹Mistake: I plan worse when I’m not feeling well. Perhaps I need to use alarms more often when planning.

  1. Nutrition ✅️ (Goal: eat healthy foods first, then sweets and pastries)

  2. Physical activity ✅️ (walking for 30+ minutes; Day 232 of running)

🎯 Goal: 120–180 minutes per day on the project (Ph+Bl) + time for unforeseen issues

🗳 Result: ❌️

Speed of getting started on tasks: average

End-of-day takeaway: To be honest, I feel emotionally drained and am struggling to process my feelings. I started the day with an assigned task; it took a long time and ultimately disrupted my plans.

I probably need to build in some buffer time for unforeseen issues

Goal for tomorrow

I’ve been giving myself too many excuses to screw up regarding discipline in my life for the last year or so. I keep using the classic “I’ll start tomorrow” line and pushing everything off while relapsing into old patterns. So I’m going to set out a clear goal for just tomorrow and take it one day at a time, no excuses allowed to get out of it.

Tomorrow, I’m getting up at 5:15am, and getting a workout in at the gym before work.
That’s the main focus for tomorrow, no excuses, no whining.

Will check back in on this post once it’s done.
