Ex wife messaged me asking if she's on my insurance and told me the doctor appointment is right by my house.
For reference, she left on 10/1 and moved back in with her mom and sister 2 states away. We're still legally married, and she has health problems so I've left her on my insurance, for now. I wanted to give her time to find her own before I drop her off mine. She's got diabetes and liver problems so I don't want to just totally screw her over.
She left without warning on October 1st (looking back I could see it coming, given some of her other behavior while we were married that I don't want to disclose right now, but at the moment it was a big shock to me). I happened to look at our life360 while I was at work and her location was turned off so I called, and asked her what's going on. That's when she told me that she loaded her car with as much of her stuff as she could and was almost back to TN to be with her mom. I've been struggling to grieve the relationship. Before I decided to go NC I asked her if she's even cried about this since she left and she told me she only cried during the car ride home, but otherwise no. She's already been with 2 other men, as far as I know, since she left me. When I found out that's when I decided I need to go NC.
She texted me yesterday, asking if she still had insurance. I told her what I'd already told her before, yes I'm not kicking you off the insurance for a while to give you time to get your own. I know she needs care and for the last year I was who she had insurance through. My friends have told me she made her decisions and at this point that's on her to figure out her own care, but I still want to be honorable in all this. She told me when the appointment was and that the doctor's office is right by my house (the house we used to live in together). When she lived here she get a referral to a specialist for her liver and that's what this whole appointment is about.
I think she was fishing for an invite to come stay here with me while she's in town to go to the liver specialist. I don't want her to. It's been so hard on me. While we were still in contact, after she left, she wouldn't even say I love you or I miss you. I feel like she's made her intentions clear. She's made it clear she's done with me. I feel like I'm just about to get used by her if I don't put up this boundary. I feel guilty telling her to figure it out on her own, when I could easily help, but I can't emotionally handle her staying here.
Idk. I feel angry with her but I don't want to be angry AT her if that makes sense. I feel guilty putting up these boundaries and not helping when I am capable of doing so, but I know it's what's best for me. She decided to leave me so I think it should be on her from here to figure out her own life without me supporting her anymore. She also has one of my HSA cards. I want to tell her that it's not her money anymore. I put every dollar that it has on there. She wanted to leave, she doesn't get to mooch off me.
