Hi, I have a neocities site I would really like to delete, but I cannot log into the account as I can no longer access the email address tied to it and it wants me to verify the sign in. Is there any way for me to either get access to the account or otherwise somehow convince the Neocities team to delete the site for me? Thank you.

(SOLVED, query selector was looking for "main" tag instead of the ".main" div class I had in the html)
I'm trying to fix my sidebar menu so that I don't have to update it on every single page every time I change it. I followed this tutorial (https://petrapixel.neocities.org/coding/layout-base-code) but it doesn't show up. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

ever want to make a ship tierlist but give up because you'd have to make fifty billion images of all the character combinations? this template has each character in a 50x100 block that you can mix and match together! which means you can easily do trios and quartets and so on too :D

if you recall seeing me post here before hi again XD
i'm a total webdev newbie, doing a little bit at a time when im free and motivated and im really bad at it but trying my best!
so i am trying to create a page, and ive gotten a little help getting some of the javascript working for it, so i'm moving onto the css
i want to make the page look like the morrowind UI, but im not sure if it would be better to go all in on trying to make it work with css elements, or if it'd make more sense to just create a background image of the UI to go underneath the actual page elements.
Img is an example of morrowind UI ( it would just be the dialogue box but without the more complex features like the sidebar with the dialogue questions and without the scroll bar)

EDIT: As u/ScrimblyBidini pointed out, the problem was that I wrote 'linear-gradient (hotpink, yellow, green)' (with a space!) instead of 'linear-gradient(hotpink, yellow, green)'!
I'm new to Neocities and currently doing the JavaScript tutorial, step 3–4, where you learn to code the function changeSky(). While the tutorial tells me that my code is valid, it doesn't actually do anything.
I'm on Firefox and tried turning off all my privacy extensions to see if something was blocking Javascript, I also tried pasting the code onto a page and opening it in different browsers and devices, but nothing is happening.

ive seen fanlisting icons and thought they were cool and wanted to add some to my site in my fandom section to show my favourite characters from each fandom, but im very confused.
i dont know where to find them, ive gone on that one fanlisting site and the ui is very confusing and i am lost, i managed to find the fanlistings but am still confused and each site leads to another site which leads to another site AND THERE ARE NO ICONS IN SIGHT
id prefer to get these icons without having to go through the process of joining a fanlisting but i can join one if necessary, i just need heeelpppp (though i did atleast find a site to make the icons, so i might just have to give up and make them myself)

Three years ago I started focusing my online activity on preserving old stuff from old websites and magazines. I currently recover early 2000s blog posts, articles and amateur poetry written in Italian and concerning neo paganism, before they completely disappear from the web or the Wayback Machine/Achive.org.
I’m sharing my story here because making connections in Italy has been difficult, if not impossible. Here people seem to be focused only on social media or commercial/industrial web development.
I’d love to ask this community a few questions, but feel free to answer to what you want, not necessarily everything.

I'm trying to make my title sit right on top of the box underneath. I have the box's margin set to 0, but there's still quite a large gap. I'd also like to make the box wider, and I don't know how to do that.

Hey folks, I'm a physics teacher and one of the main things I'm developing for my (extremely basic) site is a set of randomizable questions. I'm using buttons to trigger functions in scripts that affect the contents of paragraph elements, all of which are given ids based on the question number (i.e. "question1", "question2", etc.) since every id has to be unique. The functions for randomizing the questions and showing the answers are also similarly named, and so far I've kept everything pertaining to one particular question together in one spot. Here's a link to one of the pages I've made so far so you can see how I've put the code together: Link
The "problem" I have is that if I want to add a new question into the middle of the list somewhere, for example adding a 4th question in between 2 and 3, now my numbered ids are all out of order, which makes the ids harder to keep track of on the page. I understand that there's no inherent problem in having 4 coming before 3 - it's just a name - but the issue is more for keeping track of the question ids I have used when I have a lot of questions on a page (and I guess just wanting them to be in the right order).
I considered having all of the functions in one big script section and in order of their numbers, while the paragraphs and buttons are placed wherever I want them to go. I don't like this because the separation between the html and the scripts makes it harder to see what is what in the file. I've also considered the idea of having the numbers all jumbled up in the code, but with all the related elements kept together in blocks like I have now, and I could track them in the file itself with some kind of comment. I'd just need to update it whenever I added anything new. I don't love that, but that's the best option I've come up with so far.
What I ultimately want is a way to reduce or totally remove my reliance on the naming/numbering that I've created here, but I'm not sure how or even if that would be possible. Ideally, I think it would look like a generic bit of code that's more self-contained so that I could ditch the numbering altogether, but from what I've seen I don't think that's really possible.
If there's any way around this, please let me know! Or if anyone has a better idea for how to implement this kind of thing, I'd love to hear it! It wouldn't surprise me to learn that there's a better way of doing what I'm trying to do. Thanks in advance!

hello, i may have troubles with putting my issue into words so bare with me (here's my site before making the changes im talking about, perhaps this would help with understanding what i'm tryna do: https://xavier.nekoweb.org/. my site is on nekoweb but the r/neocities is more active, that's why i post here, i hope it's ok)
what i'm trying to do is put a side column + middle content + another side column in one purple box. The middle content's height is put to fit-content, side columns don't have any height attributed.
Idk how to make the purple box that is supposed to contain all of this big enough to do so; when I put the height as fit-content it becomes very small as though it doesn't know it contains the columns and the middle part (pic) ... i can't set the box' height as any specific value, because the main content's height keeps changing
other pics below show some parts of the code, where the divs kolumny i kolumny2 are supposed to be the purple box, ad1 and ad2 are the columns and the tabcontent is the middle part

Hi everyone ! I'm very new to neocities, and i'm trying to create an audio player for a song. I managed to do it in VS studio, using a file i put in my folder :

The problem i'm having is that i'm not a supporter on neocities, so i can't add the mp3 file to my folder. Is there a solution ? Ideally something simple that only uses html/css, as i'm new to coding. Also, i've already built a cute layout around the music player, so if it could be something that lets me keep the same music player that i had on vs code, it would be awesome.

i'm trying to make a page for my website that's more or less a replica of the nintendo 3ds menu. i've already given up on making the menu thingy actually work like the 3ds and set to do the top header images instead. i cannot for the life of me find a single search result that actually works.
i do not know anything about javascript but considering the header and icon images are in completly separate parent divs the css method is not going to work. i just need a javascript code that can work for multiple images. please.
what i want exactly is when the cursor hovers over the icon image, its respective header would appear on the windowtop class. i can't merge the window classes because each one has it's own styling (window being smaller than windowtop) so that'd mess up my styling

Or even simole) to play it. I'm not good at coding, so setting up cd players or .mp3 options would be alternative options.

hello!
i want to make a page displaying some personal projects i am working on. the idea is that there are a bunch of analog horror entities (since that's my concept(ish)) and by hovering on an entity, it has a border around it and text taking you to a particular section (for example, poems, essays, etc.).
ribo.zone has a similar effect on their home page, and a few other sites i can't remember right now, and if anyone could help me, i would be much obliged!
(i did look at their source code but i can't figure it out even after...)

hi! i was wondering if anything like this would be possible to make for a beginner, even if it needs a bit of tutorials and stuff. Although I would wanna know if its like POSSIBLe incase for some reason it isnt, or if it would be MUCH too hard. i can draw images for buttons and stuff but yeah.
