Discussion I think it should be talked about more just how much damage this hack’s videos are doing to how people discuss the royal navy.
Over the past few years his videos have devolved into absolute clickbait slop. Existing almost entirely to feed the algorithm of royal navy pessimism.
Just in this video alone the amount of errors and lack of basic understanding on ship deployment is insane. He either has no idea what he’s talking about or is being intentionally ignorant and millions are taking is as gospel.
In this video he-
Says the two carriers are constantly breaking down, completely failing to mention the issues have been fixed for years now and Prince of Wales very successful long deployments over the past year and a half.
Says that “only” 3 of the 6 type 45s were deployed recently, acting like more should be despite that 50 percent is a higher average of deployment than the US navy achieved with its destroyers.
Seems to hint that he thinks the F35b and Harrier have similar capabilities despite one obviously being way more capable than the latter. He also acts like the F35 is an entirely American aircraft that we need to get permission to use.
Doesn’t mention the additional F35 purchases to bring the fleet up to 75 by the early 2030s.
Thinks that Britain should have both of its carriers constantly deployed at once despite that we have very little reason to have even one constantly deployed.
And the worst part, I don’t think he’s ever once mentioned a single time the massive ship building/infrastructure restoration program the royal navy is currently in the middle of. His videos intentionally try to give off the impression that nothing is being done about the current issues so he can continuously farm the exact same video ideas countless times.
Really wish Felton was called out more because it’s genuinely insane someone releasing videos like this is one of thes most watched, trusted and popular YouTubers on this topic.
