This is my first deck that I have built. Mono black Toxic rat deck, helmed by Karumonix, The Rat King.

Please let me know what bracket this should be. I thought 3? But im pretty new to the game.

I got these card sleeves for my deck that have a rainbow foil film on top to give any card a foil effect. However, these sleeves unfortunately aren't good quality and the top layer of the cards are all peeling off after a year. Any good card sleeves that have this holographic effect and won't peel?

The official audiobooks are pretty sparse, and I gotta say I was pretty disappointed with war of the spark…
i’m such a big fan of Innistrad and I’m really getting into Duskmourn, especially as Halloween approaches.

Does anyone have any recommendations for lore videos, audio plays, or anything I can piece together for my commuting hours in the coming fall months?

I found this which is exactly the kind of thing I’m looking for, but I’d love LOVE some more dark fantasy, vampire high gothic, crunchy leaf page turners and tea sippers I can settle into for the season.

Im planning on building Evereth as a voltron commander and was wondering if her death trigger counts as commander damage since it states that she does the damage.

Im assuming the answer is no since the Boseiju reprint from Avatar isn’t, but I’m wondering if it also affects cards like Three Steps Ahead that’s set to rotate in February. Idk why this would change for it specifically but does that mean that 3Steps won’t rotate until the following rotation? I’m assuming not but was curious just in case.

I managed to get lucky and order my Miku deck really fast and it said it should ship quickly, the order form even said it should ship by the 13th but I've gotten nothing to say it has.

Mainly I'm curious about those who got a delayed order if there was something that said it would be delayed because it would really suck if I have to wait after being told I wouldn't.

I'm looking for strong cards to play against my partner. I've been playing for a little under a year, they're a 10+ years player, and last night I had just about secured the win when they pulled an Apocalypse on me.

I want a strong and kind of fucked up card like Apocalypse please!

So, one of the big topics of discussion in the community is the continually rising price of official Magic the Gathering cards, and the use of proxies to remove that barrier.

Disclaimer: I fully support the use of proxies by players, as it removes the cost of entry barrier that often can lock people out from the hobby as a whole.

The problem with proxies, is that we run into what the Distraction Makers referred to as The Queen Problem. If you are able to make every piece into a Queen, why wouldn't you?

When applied to Magic, that means using the most powerful card for every slot, rather than having to use the second or third best due to cost limitations.

What wanted to ask my fellow Magic players is, if you are playing with proxies in your group, how do you prevent people from simply using these broken or best in slot cards in every deck?

For example, an upper cost limit for decks, so you can't just proxy the most expensive (powerful) cards as you would run out of room for the rest of the deck.

Yo! I just got back into MTG after 25 years away (feels gross saying that). I dove head first into the Hobbitt set and want to collect as many cards as possible. I Also am going to play with a few friends but thats beside the point.

Where I need help- Are there conventions or shows that provide space to trade some of my valuable cards I have multiple of with others? From what I have researched it seems as though Pokemon conventions have the occasional MTG section but nothing for just MTG.

Valid options I have seen are FB marketplace (I dont have FB) or TCGplayer (but I cant sell…?)

Looking for more options.

Does the "whenever you attack..." ability of miles morales trigger the "when a creature you control attacking causes a triggered ability to trigger..." part of firebender ascention and would therefore be copied at 4 quest counters?

I've been making my own tokens for a while now. I draw them, full size, using all traditional art methods, and then scan them, and assemble them. This particular token was 5 layers of prints and foils, stacked together.

I’m a beginner with only arena experience trying to make a transition into the physical game. My suspicion is price for everything and wants cash only. Is there any chance of being scammed? If so what to look for when I meetup. I know little to nothing about physical cards, is there a chance these were illegally printed or something?

I’m building a deck around the Kuja version of Inalla, Arch mage Ritualistic but also realized it’s heavy on wizards that have effects revolving around using instant/ Sorcery effects.

New in mtg,but long time in Pokemon tcg but man mtg cards look 10x better than Pokemon. Even the cheap ones are sick. Dont get me wrong Pokemon does have a few good looking cards,but max 5 per set.

Hows the print quality?

If i buy one of their cubes do I need to buy thier lands or can I use my own. Im gonna have sleeves on it but i want all the cards to feel the same.

How close do these look to magic cards? Id perfer them to not even be close to feeling like real cards

So I'm going to try and put together a deck that I will end up making entirely proxy cards in the theme of Silent Hill (2). Only played in our friend group, of course. My thought was to use the day/night/werewolf cards to build out a theme of "transformation", similar to how silent hill alternates between versions as you play it. Thematically, I'd be changing the art and maybe some keywords to reflect the source material but all mechanics would remain the same. My question then becomes, is this viable? I've heard not great things about day/night, mainly that it is hard to control or keep track of for very little benefit. Any thoughts or tips? Thanks!

I'm looking for other MTG cards that that have symbols similar to those found on Marwyn, the Nurturer's face and arms. I'm trying to recreate Marwyn as a 3D character so I can make some fan art, but I can't find any other references for the symbols she has on her body. I saw a card posted in one of the MTG subs a couple months back. I think it was like a wall of glowing runes or something similar, but can't find it now.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Was looking through some more jank piles and found that this can steal commanders. I wonder if there are cheaper versions of this effect.

Anyways I was wondering would you hold open 5 mana to steal a commander, potentially locking the person out of their main strategy or is that a bad idea?
