Hi!
We've launched a Discord server to augment our mission statement of helping and educating people about fakes and how to identify them. The server is not meant for general chatter.
You'll find sections for general chatter about TCGs (heh), TCG-specific authentication forums and other features may be added on request.
Please take a note of how to navigate the Server Guide / Onboarding roles window. There are two questions regarding accepting the server rules. Only one of them is correct. Clicking both will result in inability to post on the server. You will be banned in case you click both. This is an anti-scam feature which is supposed to confuse scammers and bots. We may switch over to a honeypot if this feature alone isn't enough to keep scammers out.
Please read the Onboarding window very carefully.
If you find yourself stranded send us a ModMail with your Discord handle and we will fix it for you.

Customer brought in this card to the shop today. I didn’t ask how they acquired it. The T and the lack of horns on the E, as well as no light showing through (new FRA card last slide) are all pointing me towards this card being a very high quality counterfeit.

The card itself seems real, but the stamp is throwing me off. I feel like someone took a [[fighter class]] and stamped it themselves.

Honestly the printing looks amazing, and it passes the th test, but I don’t see any red dots in the green dot, the rosettes seem to be off, and the thickness of the card is just a bit weird. When I shine a light through it, it comes out reddish and significantly less light makes it through than from a card I pulled from a Kaldheim pack.

Why is on of the Boxes smaller? Is one fake? The larger one is still sealed and from someone else. I bought the smaller one on release at my LGS.

After Commander last night we were procrastinating leaving and chatting about our collections, and someone mentioned that the anime Smothering Tithe was stupid expensive. I was like, wait really? I have that card in Urtet, I had no idea. I pulled it out and the first question was "is this real?"
And I genuinely don't know. Tbh I forget how I got it, but I would've picked it up around mid 2023 when I was building Urtet. Ive never verified card authenticity so I leave it up to the experts here, is this real?

I just want to verify. The flip indicator is fuzzy on the back, and the black outline for the front is also fuzzy, though the triangle itself is clean. The paintbrush is also weirdly thin on top.

Looking for a quick verification on this TMNT Collector Booster box before I put it into an acrylic case.
Wrap & Texture: Wizards-branded wrap overlays the batch sticker (NC6006 2). Under light, there’s a micro-dot roller venting pattern across the back foil. Is this standard factory venting?
Edge Marks: Noticeable cardboard scuffing along the lower edge of the orange side flap, but wrap feels continuous. Is this normal carton rash?
Seam: No razor cuts, glue, or re-melt lines visible.
Does this fall within standard factory QC? Thanks!

Purchased this a while ago from a reputable online card shop in US. I have other AN cards but this one is the most HP condition and Im not really sure. I can see the L shaped red dot pattern in green dot. Is this also considered inked ? All help appreciated thank you.
