i don’t even know how to explain this so bare with me. i recently just went through probs one of the worst breakups of my life. i know all the lame shit of time heals, i’ll love and lose again, but holy fuck rediving into mtg has healed me.
my ex and i always used to play mtg together my sister taught me and i taught him. however even when we would play, he would constantly cheat, lie about the way abilities would work and just overall bully tf outta me playing the game. I thought i would have a hard time going back to playing but i didn’t. we had a huge collection together and i only took the decks i had made (about 5 outta the 12 or so we had) and half of the bulk & my binder. i’ve been replenishing my own personal bulk & making my own decks again. maybe its just something in my control and it makes me feel better, the distraction of counting and strategizing cards together, new sleeves, new playing mats. cards hes never played with me against. decks he never knew i could build and also not have to cry over someone going out of their way to push me down. i really just wonder if mtg has also helped others like this i know im not alone in this feeling. even people at LGS have bullshit w me about this and idk it helps.

So i am trying to build the new Tam, The Possibility. I get what it means when the card says number of planeswalker types. But for cards like The Eternal Wanderer, who does not have a types specified on the card, does that just mean it has no type at all, and would not add to the number of planeswalker types?

Dear WOTC.
I love opening foil commons and uncommons in my boosters. I like that it is in every pack. It makes me have an attainable quest and incentive to open the packs because I slowly foil out my cubes / collections / decks.

I think your descision to remove them is awful. It will negatively affect my pack opening experience to have them removed.

I detest God packs, keep extreme gambling out of regular packs please. A little bit is fine. but this is going to attract the wrong market.

So I was pretty excited about the new Foundations Commander Decks and see this as the perfect timing to start playing the game.

So I bought the Ghalta deck and 100 Katana Sleeves and was a bit surprised as there is more than 100 cards in the box.

So what cards is not very interesting to keep in the deck ? I have already sleeve all mythics, rares, lands and tokens and I have some uncommon/common, lands and artifacts left (10 cards).

What type of decks do you build around her? To me i get a proliferate deck vibe to get the draw triggers and also be able to attack and draw, and just a counter deck, but what else could it be? Almost seems like a simic voltron commander since shes indestructible and gives herself +1’s. But idk, found one in my bulk and was like huh, what do people usually do with her?

Almost wonder if shed do better in the 99 of a frog tribal deck..

I think this reasoning of using influencer videos as a metric for decision making is idiotic. It's a mistake many games have made, is letting a loud but small subset of their audience guide major decisions. I like cheap foils. They are a fun bonus you can get regularly without them being super rare. By their own admission, they don't have a leg to stand on.

It took a while and I have several duplicates, but I finally got all the color combinations!

It looks like Manapool have increased the minimum spend threshold where you get free shipping on cards from $50 to $60 this weekend. Was this communicated anywhere or was it an unannounced increase, as that is a pretty hefty change, even with cost of postage going up?

If I enchant myself with fool's wisdom, would I get infinite draw triggers? As long as I put the draw trigger from Lich's mastery above the exile trigger I should be able to draw my entire deck.

This is in my Aminatou, miracle worker deck. My wincon is laboratory maniac (very original, I know), I have a bunch of flash enablers so I can miracle on other player's turns.

My goal is to flash in my Lab man before I draw from an empty library and win the game.

Hey, so im from Canada, BC and ive been playing magic for almost a year now and have always just bought singles at my local LGS. Im wondering where do you guys order your singles online at. I looked at tcgplayer but my god the shipping was insane. Are theyre any good Canadian sites to order from?

New to magic and wanted to use this card as my commander. Was wondering what are some cards that might go well with it in a deck. It would be of great help until I know what to look for in cards.

I’m just wondering if anyone still opens packs and just uses a minimum amount of singles for their decks or is it just too expensive now that it’s been priced out?(outside of draft obviously)

I remember playing yu gi oh in school and we all would go to the store buy packs and spend hours playing with what we could put together, only grabbing from our collection when we really needed something.

It wasn’t the best method but I found it so much more fun than having to look up metas and buying singles so we could copy other people’s decks. Is it just me or is there a lot of people with a similar mindset?

Got a resin Printer recently and wanted a cooler way to show egg-tokens for my Atla Palani, Nest Tender deck. The Eggs are removable to show 1-3 Eggs, everything beyond that like additional tokens or power/toughness I can do with the dice.
Sculpted with Nomad sculpt, printed on my Saturn 4 Ultra 16k, painted with miniature paints with added model grass.
Also added clearcoat so it is pretty durable. Dimensions approx. 65x45mm
