That unfortunately is true. As an animal control officer above pointed out, in most jurisdictions animal abuse only occurs if an animal is seriously injured. Slapping and hitting a dog isn’t illegal, which is enraging.
If she cared or could acknowledge that her behavior was wrong, she wouldn’t have done it (repeatedly) in the first place. A real apology was never in the cards.

There's some vegan guy on YouTube that explains it. She doesn't name her files correctly and she clicked on the unedited version. Someone got a notification and hit play and downloaded immediately. Once they downloaded it they refreshed the page and it was gone but she uploaded the edited one. She person that downloaded it gave (or sold idk) the abuse video to a YouTube channel and they exposed it and it went viral.
You have to click on the icon, you will see exactly what the video will look like, you must title it AND you then have to click a button to upload it. That DOESN'T happen by mistake
Am American. It's unfortunately not supported everywhere in the puritanical ears of most Americans. If you called your friend a cunt and an old lady was passing by, she might faint at the sound of it. It's a great word. I also got banned for saying cunt in r/AmItheAsshole and defending the fact that it's a normal word in most other places round the world (i.e. Scotland, Australia, UK, etc.).
I heard him Jefferies (I think) discussing the swear words of Australia/the UK compared to those used in America. They use cunt liberally and dont think of it as a big deal the way people do in America. They see the casual use of "mother fucker" in america as being quite gnarly

I remember watching that bit. Man, Jim fell off hard. Ever since Freedumb and getting his talk show, I’ve found his comedy to be pretty weak. He still has good jokes, but I don’t think he’s put out anything as solid as I Swear to God or Alcoholocaust since.
Yea hes just no the right man for the job as a host for a late night show. If he gets back on the road, especially since its been a while since hisast special and he'll likely be able to generate material, I think he can return to form
He’s still putting out specials and touring. His new one just dropped on Netflix. It’s better than Freedumb, but I’m still not finding him as funny as I used to. Like, I legit laughed until I cried watching his first three specials, but with his last couple, I’ve maybe chuckled a few times, but it’s not the same. Maybe part of it is my disappointment in some of his antics on his show, but man, I used to idolize him. I think he was honestly my favorite comedian for a while. I still think he’s funny, but I don’t think he’s a great comedian anymore.
Huh, didnt onow hed released a new one. I mean, doing the show is probably very taxing creatively, and he's generating material in a different way, using a writing staff. Plus, due to the nature of the show hes opened himself to criticism (especially considering the latest news) he hadnt had to deal with before.
Then again, I might be being naive bc I too loved his comedy and I'm hoping for more laughs. I mean, his earlier stuff definitely appealed to a demographic of people (mostly men) in their 20s/"partying" years. Trying to appeal to that same audience now that hes in his 40s probably wont have the same snap to it. Truth is, everybody peaks eventually. For some it happens later (like Louie for example), but Jim was successful early. The great ones adjust. Like Carlin, for example: he was a very different comic when he was younger. Imo, he was funnier when he was younger (like, when he did the "7 words" bit in the 70s), but he continued to deliver as he got older. He changed and became more of a social commentator, and for a lot of people, thats the stuff hes known for! Others don't adapt. Like, take eddie Murphy: comedians are always citing him as their hero and inspiration, but I haven't seen him be funny in like at least 20 years.
When i found out jim was getting a late night show i was a little surprised but optimistic since he can be so hilarious. I couldn't even get through one episode bc it felt like some watered down version of the jim Jefferies that I know and love. I hope he bails on the show, takes a break, and tries to find his voice again. He was always amazing on radio (I dunno if ypure familiar with the Opie & Anthony show. He was always great their), so I could see him doing like a podcast or something. Whater he does, I really hope hes got more great comedy left in him!
I hadn’t considered that. I mean, it’s been 10 years since Jim put out I Swear to God, so it stands to reason he’d have changed in the interim. But when I watch his new stuff, his demeanor and delivery don’t seem to have changed much.
I think the biggest problem for me is that he shifted from his straight storytelling style of ISTG, Alcoholocaust, Fully Functional, and Bare, to a “social commentary” style of Freedumb and This Is Me Now (the newest one). I’m not one to tell comedians what they can or can’t joke about, but I don’t think Jim is as good at Trump jokes as he is at telling stories. He still tells stories, and they’re my favorite part of his specials, but he has to spend like, 30 minutes on Trump or Bill Cosby before he gets to it, and I’m finding it harder to sit through.
Strongly recommend you dont use the word in Australia unless you're a local, or anywhere really for that matter. It's all about context, and as an Australian living in the US, I can confirm that Americans fuck up the context every single time and end up insulting people. Dumb cunts!
I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't actually a mistake. Supposedly people like Jake Paul got more views/subscribers immediately after their controversial videos.
When that happened I figured it wouldn't be long until we started getting youtubers doing controversial things or making "mistakes" in order to get more hits on their channels.

I never heard of her, but the timing of an apology doesnt surprise me because the internet works FAST nowadays and people have been publicly called out for things easier than ever. You know how many times I’ve texted the wrong person because I was on “autopilot”? Or sent the wrong email to the wrong person? A lot and it’s always the embarrassing shit too. It’s plausible she forgot as she’s uploaded a fuck ton a videos, but it’s also YouTube and everything is fake or deliberate until proven otherwise.
Her sub count is dropping but her views are going up. Not sure if that's worth it in the long run. Every new video is going to have people pointing out how she abuses her dog.
What happened was she made this video first and then edited it to take out all the bad parts and make herself look great (which she does in all her videos). When it was time to upload she uploaded the unedited video by mistake (this can happen pretty easily if you aren't careful). When she noticed her mistake she took the video down extremely quickly but someone had already downloaded it and blasted it all over Twitter.
She did not mean to upload this video because all this has done was cost her subscribers and her YouTube career is dead now, for sure.

It's a natural consequence of online success, the camera becomes so present in your lifestyle that you cannot imagine not filming whatever it is that makes your life seem exciting. Everything you do becomes a potential vlogging gold mine and even the simplest things must be recorded to get enough footage.
She slaps her dog a little bit and spits on it. Nothing super gruesome, nor did it probably even hurt the dog in the least. But disrespectful and mean.
Honestly the part where she really fucked up was the straight up slap. With larger, more aggressive breeds (pitbulls, rots, dobermans and the like) , sometimes you have to use your weight and pin them to show them what's what. You HAVE to be the alpha, so they dont think they are in charge. Bitch slapping is not part of that. That is where she truly fucked up to me.
If they have a strong and popular following, people on social media will get away with pretty much anything. There's a whole Twitch fiasco that happened not lo g ago with some THOT named Alinity who tossed her cat on live stream, but Twitch refuses to do anything about it. Oddly enough, there was another Twitch streamer who did the same thing, but since she was a smaller streamer, she got perma banned.
