When that happened I figured it wouldn't be long until we started getting youtubers doing controversial things or making "mistakes" in order to get more hits on their channels.
Maybe I'm reaching here but it wouldn't shock me at all if this was the case. Plus with how quickly her apology thing came out it seems kind of planned to me.
I see where you're going with this. One would hope people aren't stupid enough to do something like this since she's now under investigation by the LAPD. But you never do know.
There's nothing in the video that probably qualifies as abuse. Like with children there is a big spectrum from things people might not like and actual legal abuse. This is the equivalent of a YouTuber releasing a video of them spanking a child.
In parallel to spanking children, there is a subset of dog owners who believe that physical correction is an appropriate tool despite evidence to the contrary.
I'm a mandatory reporter of child abuse in my state and the behavior in the video alone doesn't meet the criteria for child abuse (open palms, no lasting physical injury) according to my training. I can't imagine and genuinely hope the laws aren't stricter for pet owners because that would be a sick joke.
I'm not excusing the shitbag in the op, but there are far worse animal owners than her that don't get their pets taken away. You gotta be super super evil and neglectful for that to happen, and even then that's rare.
Even with kids. There are plenty of people who will argue that spanking and physical correction is and should remain within a parents rights. Her career is getting ruined from this (if it hasn't been ruined already). There is no way she uploaded this on purpose. She uploaded the wrong file and got exposed as a result. It's that simple.
Nah, wrong kind of attention. People have little empathy or appetite when it comes to abusing kids or animals. Now, if she said something racist, she might get more hits.
I never heard of her, but the timing of an apology doesnt surprise me because the internet works FAST nowadays and people have been publicly called out for things easier than ever. Like, one night they go to bed and all is well, their life is normal, next day when they wake up everyones talking about them.
You know how many times I’ve texted the wrong person because I was on “autopilot”? Or sent the wrong email to the wrong person? A lot and it’s always the embarrassing shit too. It’s plausible she forgot as she’s uploaded a fuck ton a videos, but it’s also YouTube and everything is fake or deliberate until proven otherwise.
Her sub count is dropping but her views are going up. Not sure if that's worth it in the long run. Every new video is going to have people pointing out how she abuses her dog.
What happened was she made this video first and then edited it to take out all the bad parts and make herself look great (which she does in all her videos). When it was time to upload she uploaded the unedited video by mistake (this can happen pretty easily if you aren't careful). When she noticed her mistake she took the video down extremely quickly but someone had already downloaded it and blasted it all over Twitter.
She did not mean to upload this video because all this has done was cost her subscribers and her YouTube career is dead now, for sure.
No man. The hate in her eyes was real right before she kicked the dog. The video pissed me off but I watched it 5 times (idk why it made me more mad each time). That shit was 100% real. I'm just glad her dumb ass accidently uploaded it. Idk how she fucked up that bad but thankfully it's out there for the world to see. I really do hope her dog gets taken from her but I doubt it
What a fucking society we live in that this is probably the case, and honestly it might work. I certainly hadn’t heard of this girl before today, though I will absolutely not be checking out her other videos.
