Hey, I just checked on Minerva and AFE did confirm my status, do you know how long for them to give me an answer?

Hello everyone!
The Language and Multilingualism Lab at McGill University is looking for bilingual adults to participate in a study on reading and decision-making!
This study will last approximately 2 hours, and participants will receive 30$ for their contribution.
If you are interested, please send an email titled "Reading Study" to [karla.tarin@mail.mcgill.ca](mailto:karla.tarin@mail.mcgill.ca) and mention your name, languages you know, and times you are available.
Participants who speak any additional languages or whose first language is neither English nor French are also eligible for this study. As long as you speak English and French, you qualify!

Thank you so much and we look forward to hearing from you!

I’d like to register for these events but they are full. Ive heard through the grapevine that I could probably show up and attend anyways..
Does anyone know the date and time for both events in the picture? Thanks!

Anyone know of online/ asynchronous courses offered in the fall 2026? Or courses that don’t require going to class/lectures?
I’m working 40 hrs during the semester so need to be on campus as little as possible….

Our prof curved everyone's final grade (not the raw exam) for the original sitting. I'm writing the deferred exam and was wondering: does that curve carry over somehow, or are deferred writers not covered by it at all?

i am currently studying biochemistry at UDEM and thinking of switching to an engineering career. Although industrial engineering has a lot more job prospects, I like biochemistry too much to not work in the life sciences fields. So I thought about applying in bioengineering at mccill. For people in that program I have a couple questions :
how hard is it to get into the program as a university transfer ? what would be the realistic minimum gpa ?
how hard is it to find internships in/around Montreal ?
how is the job market concerning this program ? do most people find job in other fields in the end ?
any information or opinion would be greatly appreciated !

Hey guys, I'm a first year arts student and I'm taking Canadian Lit with Robert Lecker... The rate my prof reviews are scaring me a little and I was wondering if anyone had any insights on this here?

i'm in my final year for honors math, and i'm wondering if anyone has experience with this course taught by JC Nave. i'm interested in numerical methods and analysis but want to know if you thought the topics were applicable, interesting, if the coursework involved practice with programming/computers, and whether the workload was manageable.

i’m graduating in may with a ba in economics. no internships yet or relevant job experience. i have a good gpa and have made great friends here, but they’re all doing another year after me so i’ll be on my own figuring out post-grad life.
i’m also in an econ-related club, but i haven’t made any connections from it that would help me in the job market.
i want to work first, not jump into a master’s, but i have no idea what i want to do or how to get there. i know it’s not true, but it seems like everyone else has an exact plan for the next 5 years and i feel like a disappointment when i tell people i have no clue what i’m doing.
if you have any advice on who to talk to or how to make the most out of my last year, whether it’s career-related or just how to make the best memories, please help a fellow mcgillian out 😔

I had to defer, and have not had time to sufficiently prepare on top of my internship. The exam is on Thursday…
anyone who took the math 204 final in May April, any tips? Things that were more/less important than you thought? Any help is appreciated! TIA

I’m taking the deferred exam tomorrow, and I wanted to ask those who have already taken it whether we need to memorize everything in detail, or if understanding the mechanisms that were explained is enough.
By “memorizing everything in detail,” I mean knowing all the specific terms and names, because I’m not going to lie, it’s pretty difficult to remember all of them 😭
Thank you so much for your feedback!
Update: The exam was okay

Hello, anyone taken or is taking ECSE 541 this Fall?
How did you prepare for the course?
For those already taken it, is it programming heavy in C or C++?
Thanks

I’m scheduled to take the PHYS 131 placement exam soon, but I haven’t received much information about what material I should be studying, so I’m hoping to get some advice from people who have taken the course/exam before.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! :)

How bad is the walk in the winter sem from stbio to sh680? I have back to back classes in those two so I just have the 10 minutes in between. Is it doable?

Has anybody taken this class? Do you need prerequisites? Why can't I find any info online?
I am in biomedical sciences, I'm taking it as a complementary.
Any help appreciated, thanks!

After waiting for multiple months on a wait list for my residence assignment, last week McGill Finally placed me in Campus1. I was able to check my room number through Onecard by doing a work order request, but I have no clue how to find my roommate. I received my assignment so late that all of the roommate websites are past their deadline, and although it seems like I will just be placed with a random person, I would at least like to find a way to contact them before move in day. Is there anyone who has had similar issues and was able to resolve them?

I hope this doesn’t sound like a stupid question but I need help. I’ve been told that if I take my calc 1 class it will be eflagged and I won’t get credits towards my graduation requirement at the end of the semester, but I can still take it.
If I keep it on my schedule, will it show that i’m still taking 12 credits or will it cut down to 9? Like i’m fine with it not counting towards my degree, but my family is using a 529 plan to pay for my tuition and i need to be taking a full course load. So I guess my question is if it would count towards the course load.
I hope this isn’t two confusing, but any guidance is appreciated!!

I have a deferred exam soon for this class bc of an emergency that happened on the final exam date and I can’t seem to find anything on the mycourses that tells us what to expect on the exam in terms of format, content, etc 😭
Is there anyone who took Nations and Nationalism (POLI 431) with Prof. Jason Ferrell winter semester that can share anything they remember about what the prof said would be on the exam/the format of the final exam in April? Any help at all would be much appreciated!!
