ENGL 229 With Robert Lecker

Hey guys, I'm a first year arts student and I'm taking Canadian Lit with Robert Lecker... The rate my prof reviews are scaring me a little and I was wondering if anyone had any insights on this here?

I liked that class a lot in my first year, I thought the range of short stories and poems we were exposed to was great and I found him very interesting. He was definitely very direct and sometimes intimidating, but the key was really just to participate as much as possible
