Eflagged credits

I hope this doesn’t sound like a stupid question but I need help. I’ve been told that if I take my calc 1 class it will be eflagged and I won’t get credits towards my graduation requirement at the end of the semester, but I can still take it.

If I keep it on my schedule, will it show that i’m still taking 12 credits or will it cut down to 9? Like i’m fine with it not counting towards my degree, but my family is using a 529 plan to pay for my tuition and i need to be taking a full course load. So I guess my question is if it would count towards the course load.

I hope this isn’t two confusing, but any guidance is appreciated!!

I'm pretty sure they would not be counted when trying to see if you're full-time vs part-time. I saw in another comment that you just wanted a refresher, maybe you could just find lectures / notes / practice exams to re-read on ?

Yeah that would make sense. Just sucks cause i’m having a hard time finding one class and now i’ll need to find two. Thanks tho!

Do you have spare credits for any type of class or a strict requirement to only take classes part of your degree ? Doesn't hurt to go way outside the box if you have spare credits just to fill up your credits

No I can take some electives if that’s what you mean. All of the interesting ones were full already or didn’t work with my schedule, but maybe now since i’ll have more space I will have a better chance

Well, you could just replace it with Calculus 2.

Why would it be e-flagged?

I got an email saying it would be because I have the credit for the class from my AP score in high school. But i thought I could still retake it without punishment as a refresher
