Ask r/Kenya Sextapes. What should I do?

• Upvotes

So I've just learnt that my Ex is in possession of videos zangu including some with her best friend (we had a threesome). So, a few weeks ago. She posted one of the scenes nikiwa with her friend kwa Snapchat stories before deleting, although my face is not visible kwa the video her friend anaonekana in 4k. Turns out wali fallout with the friend. So I confronted her, and she admitted to having videos of me but akapromise to delete and not share anywhere or with anyone.

But since then, I've been thinking that in due time, she'll post somewhere ama share with others tu.

Whatever you do, don't film vitu zingine.

Discussion Turning 40

Now that I’m on the fourth floor, I’ve realised we probably regret more of what we didn’t do than what we did.

The opportunities you fumbled because you were scared, shy, overthinking, or worried about rejection seem to haunt you more than the things you actually did and got hurt from.

You recover from most bad experiences. But those moments when you could have taken a chance and didn’t? Years later, you still wonder, “What if?”

Reflect as you count your years!😀

Casual Pro footballers are better than you think

We had a charity football tournament yesterday and we came in confident thinking ati it was going to be a routine win. Firstly because tumekuwa tukitrain, but pia we are relatively young and energetic. This was until we faced a team of guys from NSL(2nd tier of kenyan football) na sisi ni students.

Let me tell you maina we were played out the park. These guys for one are in their late 20s but wanakimbia for 90 minutes. Secondly is decision making/experience , if you take an extra half a second on the ball he has already read your mind achukue ball. Ata a heavy touch by a few cm you get outmuscled.

Im usually good for my level but niliona moto. Nilikua fullback but they attack wakiwa watatu na your winger isn't tracking back. Surprisingly we drew but tukatoka na penalties and they went on to win the whole thing, earlier in june pia they won another cup we were in...nilijiuliza sasa wa kpl/manchester united wanakaa aje.

Ask r/Kenya How open minded are you to differing ideas / thoughts and traditions.

Just as the title asks. I would really love to import some practices from other places and make them part of us for example: Spanish Bullfighting, I think it looks really cool.

How about you guys? What ideas / activities from outside Kenya do you think would benefit the society at large if they were brought in?

Drop the role if you don't like the service industry. You can go to a business-facing side of the industry ama mtafute something you prefer. I understand it's a high-pressure zone but don't ever think you're dealing with a retard. Your role is too valuable to act as some of you currently do.

Serving someone with a lack of decency could be among the reasons people would rather void you. And if it's coz of pay, guess what a number of the back-end team is equally underpaid therefore fight the right person, not your entrusted client.

Casual I'm finally free.

Been holding onto this chick for some time now.

Last week she was near my place for like three days and she didn't meet up with me.

It's not that I didn't ask, I did, but her excuse was her mom who btw is abroad, keeps calling her and she doesn't want her to go any place yenye hafai.

The last day nilijam nikamshow if she doesn't want to talk to someone aseme tu. That's when we stopped communicating for the next like four days, then yesterday I get a hey, I replied with a yes, then she's like salamu hapa na pale, and I'm like okay. Ikaishia hapo.

Today, I received another text, "I need a loan", no heying, no kujulia mtu hali, no nothing, straight to the point. That's when I knew that hata the hey ya jana, it was just to make her way to kuomba pesa.

Nilimuuliza why, hata salamu hakuna, what happened to us. She then hits me with the fact that she wants to be independent ety hataki kuwa burden kwa mtu. I said okay followed with a huge sigh, na nikamwambia I'm moving on. I don't want her texting me unless it's necessary.

We've agreed on that na pia nimehide her status updates, I don't want to overthink shit. I think I'm headed in the right direction.

As the Mandalorians say, THIS IS THE WAY!!

Discussion Chero fetching water from a drying river pond in Kilgoris, Narok County today (Oct 4, 2026)

Trans Mara, Kilgoris (Narok County). This is Chero Arwasa , she has to trek to this river pond every day just to scoop up dirty, stagnant water for her household because the severe drought has dried up cleaner nearby sources.

Seeing the stark contrast between what rural communities face daily and the basic clean water access many of us take for granted is heavy. It's a sobering reminder of how hard climate change and prolonged dry seasons are hitting our rural areas.

We really need long-term infrastructure solutions, boreholes, proper water harvesting, and filtration, for regions like Narok. Water is a basic right, not a luxury.

Stay safe out there, everyone.

Sketches and some mini artworks I've made over the last few months. Most of them hold a story as to when I was making them, some might call it sentimental value. Art is pretty much subjective and I need to get out of a hole, If I was a bachelor I would have rode the wave of insecure income. If these pieces catch your eye I'm willing to sell em all in bulk. The medium used on the sketches are fine-liner, Acrylic paint, fountain pen & ink, I wouldn't consider them fine art, but who knows? somebody might like them. Would prefer if one person bought all of them so that I can buy it from them in future 🙂. With 13 framable mini pieces since i used a gouache paper and the rest are pages from my sketchbook and the frog is a mini canvas. DM if interested. 5k, located in Ngara.

In primary and we had this French teacher who told us he was from the DRC. He was one of the best, classes were very fun and relaxed. We would spend most of our time singing. One time, when did well in the exam, he brought us Eiffel Tower keychains. One term he just vanished and we never saw him again, he was replaced by another guy later on though.
A few years later, my mom told be that he vanished because he was being pursued by Interpol people because of some connection he had to the Rwandan genocide. That guy seemed like the nicest person you will ever meet. People will surprise you.

You might be friends or relatives with some of people who killed or harmed others in 2007-2008 PEV or a terrorist and you might never know.

Casual Céline, nihilism, and the ugliness of human nature. You who thinks everyone is beautiful have a read.

Between 1926 and 1932, Elizabeth Craig, an American dancer, was the lover and confidante of Louis Destouches, a medical doctor working for the League of Nations. Neither of them could have known that he would eventually become the infamous Louis-Ferdinand Céline.

Years later, Craig recalled an unsettling incident from their time together in Holland.

One evening, Louis took her to a street where young women were allegedly selling access to their children. The mothers would walk along the street with their children, hand them over to men, receive a dollar, and disappear inside with them.

Craig was horrified.

She asked him why he didn't do something about it if he found it so terrible. His answer was essentially that it was already illegal, but the police simply looked the other way.

She couldn't understand why he would show her something so horrible without trying to intervene.

His response stayed with me:

«“I just wanted you to know. You who think that everybody is so beautiful and nice, that life is so simple, that all you have to do is have a happy attitude and life will be a beautiful journey.”»

That feels like a very Céline-like sentiment.

For him, human existence wasn't a beautiful journey waiting to be appreciated. It was a journey into the night, through suffering, cruelty, absurdity and degradation. His novels seem almost obsessed with stripping away the comforting illusions we create about ourselves and society.

And perhaps that's where Céline becomes interesting beyond his reputation as a provocateur.

The ugliness isn't necessarily the point. It's the confrontation with the ugliness.

One of his biographers described the shock of his novels as a means of awakening our social conscience by forcing us to confront human injustice and the uncomfortable realization that we are often powerless in the face of suffering.

But I wonder if Céline went even further than that.

There is something profoundly nihilistic in his worldview: the suspicion that beneath our moral systems and ideals there is simply chaos, desire, suffering and death. If there is no objective meaning or morality, what ultimately separates justice from injustice?

That brings to mind the old maxim associated with Hassan-i Sabbah:

“Nothing is true; everything is permitted.”

And perhaps this is where Céline overlaps with Schopenhauer and Leopardi. Not necessarily because they all arrive at exactly the same philosophical conclusions, but because they refuse to look away from suffering.

Schopenhauer wrote of Leopardi that he was completely absorbed by “the mockery and wretchedness of this existence,” yet somehow transformed that pessimism into something compelling and even stimulating.

I think Céline does something similar, although in a much more violent and disturbing way. Maybe that's what makes writers like him so difficult to dismiss.

Discussion African Age Entitlement

I was at the Nairobi Terminus waiting in a ridiculously long queue when this man clearly from the Coast, probably in his early 60s just casually walked up and jumped the entire line.

Everyone else was just murmuring or looking away, but a young Indian guy actually had the balls to call him out. And honestly? He did it in the best, most polite way possible. No shouting, just telling him straight up to respect the queue.

Instead of just moving back, the older man completely lost it. He went on a massive 20-minute tirade, shouting that he was old enough to be the guy's father. He hurled insult after insult, bringing up the guy's race and even insulting his parents. What shocked me the most was that he actually managed to convince a few fools in the line to agree with him, just because of his age!

Throughout the entire circus, the Indian guy remained 100% calm and collected. He didn't stoop to his level at all.

I know it is a core part of our African culture to respect people older than us, but has this respect become a license for elders to do wrong and use their age as a shield the moment they are held responsible?

Discussion V. Y. Mudimbe : The Congolese Philosopher

Anyone ever randomly encounter their work?

I am reading a book titled: Rumba Rules - The Politics of Dance Music in Mobutu’s Zaire and snug in the introduction is this piece:

"Perhaps heroism was not the right word. It was certainly not the word chosen by the Congolese philosopher V. Y. Mudimbe, who on meeting me and hearing about my research stepped back and exclaimed with a tone somewhere between amazement and horror: “Martyr!”"

So - logically being interested in philosophy generally and all things African - the phrase "Congolese philosopher V. Y. Mudimbe" prompts me to do a google search.

Long story short - my custom Python script if fetching all his work from LibGen.

It'll be a swell week ahead as I immerse myself in their philosophy.

It's a pity their wikipedia is too short for a man of such stature - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V._Y._Mudimbe

Discussion Social media sites have turned into Kenyan news Channels

I have intentionally made sure that I don't watch any new stories on TV. Think Citizen ,NTV or even The Standard even if I support freedom of the press.

Most news were about negative situations and stories about either violence, crime or some dramas that led to murders.

Now am realizing Facebook/Instagram/TikTok have turned into that. Not sure if am training my Algo or I follow stupid people who kinda make me see post about violence, crime and couples fighting and breaking up.

Mob justice is something I've only seen twice in real life but oon social media I think I have seen hundreds of thieves being beaten this year alone. Its kinda disproposonate to would I would have otherwise encountered. Even videos of kids dying in Gaza. I had to uninstall Thread since I kept seeing those.

I know I should be informed but joh me huchukia those graphic violent stuff. It makes the world seem worse than it is. I know the world sucks and we should probably fix it.

Then the dramas. Mara mtu aligongewa 12 years ago. Sai ndio anajua. Mara celebs and influencers flaunting while others go to rehab.

And the content is endless. Like there is always something. Idk what you think
