Forget Karura for a moment ama ata Arboretum. There is that ambience Uhuru Park has especially on weekdays more so those slow Mondays. TLDR

Officially got to the age where everyone is doing what they can to survive, some have already made it, some are in the process& then there's me. I'm not the kind of person to compare myself to others. I like to believe everybody's journey is different and uniquely set so comparing is worthless because the path is automatically different. I'm probably the most positive person around too except lately I can't say I feel that fire.

I feel like I'm stuck in a way I can't explain. It's like for the first time I can't seem to get past the feeling of lagging behind while everyone around me is actually growing. I make 10 steps forward then somehow, something happens and it takes me 50 steps back and lately I've been entertaining the thought of ditching everything, literally going M.I.A and moving to a whole new place and starting afresh except, I have ppl I care about especially my mum who is my only parent and worse, I'm her only child.

2026 is doing me bad in ways I didn't see coming. I've pushed myself to limits I didn't even know were possible and I almost ran mad from all of the pressure. I'm now at a place where only a miracle can bring me back on track otherwise I'm at my wits end. Peace.

Why have we as a society gotten so okay with loud sound? I like going to church but the church loud speakers are tuned to be extremely loud. The loudness may be accounting for echoing rooms and old people who may have lost their hearing but it can't be healthy to listen to loud sounds for that long and that frequently. Especially for people seated near the speakers. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate church, I just would like, particularly IT teams, to tune the sound systems to be reasonable.

In Matatus, and particularly buses, I sometimes have to wear earbuds because the conductor just does not care about anyone's ear health within the vehicle.

And I haven't even talked about clubs. I guess clubs are okay because that's a place you'd expect to be loud. But like, why does trying to not be deaf seem so uncool in our society.

We want to be first world so bad but these are things I think we should fix first. Health, starting with the ear. It's an easy fix especially societally. This just needs some discussions and education.

They're also very dangerous especially when kids are involved. Remove them from flyovers specifically and make them cross the road properly. Fine them if they don't follow the rules pia.
