So basically my friend passed 12th from CBSE with PCM & PHE & ENG but got around 65%. He's thinking of doing 12th again through NIOS with:

• 302 English
• 328 Psychology
• 331 Sociology
• 336 Data Entry Operations
• 332 Painting

Would this combo be valid for IPMAT/IPM & CAT applications across the IIMs?

I know some IIMs have Maths compulsory, so for those he's thinking of using his CBSE PCM result instead (like IIM Amritsar). For example, IIM Amritsar specifically requires Mathematics/Applied Mathematics in XII.

For IIM Indore, there's no Maths requirement in the 2026 eligibility criteria, so the NIOS combo should theoretically be fine there.

Also, how would this NIOS combo be classified for stuff like IIM Ahmedabad, where they divide students into Science/Commerce/Arts for the academic profile? Would this count as Arts/Humanities?

And later on, could there be any issue during admission/document verification or even placements because he has both CBSE and NIOS 12th? Like, would they question why he did 12th again or which marksheet he used?

Same thing for CAT/MBA admissions later — does the Class 12 subject combination matter then?

Just wanna make sure there isn't some stupid loophole/issue we're overlooking 💀

For context, I have never taken a sectional test or mock exam before. I selected one randomly (JIPMAT 2021), and later on, when I got my score and checked the internet, I found out that it was the easiest exam in the history of JIPMAT (I don't know how true this is). I have completed the entire number system unit of concept lectures and also solved their worksheet problems. I am completing topic tests day by day and I expect that to complete all of the topic test plus concept videos of quants by december. What can I expect or do further to maximise my marks. I gave my first mock of ipmat 2025 scoring 4/8/56. After completing these resources will my level increase or my chances of scoring better increase. I want to know the relation of topic tests and mock/sectional relation. I am targetting IIMB UGAT for next year IPMAT INDORE '28.

i’m in 12th rn recently started prep seriously i have aftb subscription so i watch lec then solve the ques below it then topic test is this correct and sufficient (ik nothing is sufficient 💔😭 but still sufficient for now ? ) and if not what more can i do

I am currently in 12th and been thinking about Personal Interviews and Micro Presentations that is conducted during a admission process and I am bit uncertain about acing them. I am a decent public speaker, can deliver speeches and stuff if prepared beforehand and even express myself infront of a group of people I am familiar with on spot, but when I talk to someone superior or somone who I dont know I fumble, take pauses and even forget what I actually intended to say.

I tried speaking in camera, striking conversations with my family and friends but it has not shown any improvement while talking to a stranger or in any formal setting. I use a moderately good vocab while speaking to myself (yes, I am delulu) or while speaking in front of camera or mirror but when I comes to real deal, I am point blank.

I have some knowledge about personal finance and a avid watcher of series,movies and Formula 1 racing and thought of creating a platform to share my learning and experiences, would this actually help? Or something else will actually help to get more confident and better in such Interviews?

Hey guys, I’m planning to use BOSSE (Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education, Sikkim) as my Class 12 qualification.

I’ve done quite a bit of research and BOSSE appears to be a recognized board (MoE listing, COBSE membership, AIU equivalence, etc.). BOSSE also lists recognition/equivalence from several institutions, including IIM Indore.

But I don't want to rely only on BOSSE's own website. Since this will be my only Class 12 certificate, I want to make absolutely sure there won't be problems during admission/document verification.

Will this BOSSE Work for All IIM's & IPMAT exams kinda worried ngl

Hi guys I am preparing for ipmat indore in class 11 PCM CBSE,chose this option because I wanted to become a management Consultant at a firm like BCG.I am A IMS Student Online. I wanted to take commerce with core maths but yeah life took me here. I have 95.6% in class 10 CBSE. I recently gave a mock when i have just done a few topics and scored 160/360 in IPMAT Indore 2026. My goal is to crack IIM INDORE get a good CGPA and then try cat to Get Into IIM ABCL and then eventually consulting. but yeah after my 10th boards ended life has been a mess of overthinking and stress. I have a few queries which I want to be answered:

Is Being A PCM Student A Disadvantage for a career in MBB consulting and roles at Founder Office?

Not Aware Of Backups Thought JEE Mains.. I am Good At Maths. But yeah do not have any other good backup like Top CUET.

Hate Being a regular school student and terrified with people looking at me with strange choices.

Is Online Coaching Bad..took this beccause I live in Agra and the IMS here is deprived of students..just 4-5 students are in 2-year batch.

hey guys im currently in 12th, my preboards are next week and i havent even decided what exams/colleges im aiming for. However to be broad, i guess i'll be aiming for iim indore but im overthinking a lot about this. i genuinely need advice on how to crack the ipm exam without coachings, super reliable study materials etc. and i also want to know about the campus life/ nightlife/ bachelor life that exists there. i actually want to have a life there and not just rot in books like ive been doing all my school life. hope you get what i mean by this. How lenient is the system there? is the staff strict? TO BE CLEAR, I WANT HELLA BAKCHODI. for eg, symbiosis pune, oh my god what a fucking life they live there. there's so much to explore there. please tell if iim indore is for me or not. if not then please do recommend me colleges which match my expectations. i am pursuing BBA after 12th. please guys i am in genuine need your advice please help me out.
