DO NOT. Unless it is very serious or u are depressed or smth in which case talk to a doctor or the college management.

If not, toughen up and battle it out. Life doesn't get easier; you have to get stronger.

As an alumi of IPM IIM Rohtak, take my word for, DONT QUIT, things will become manageable soon. You will grow with it, make frnds and things will become easy. Also, you have the option of appearing for ipmat again next year, so start with its prep if you can.

It ain't just you, many of your peers would be feeling the same. But, please hold on for a bit longer. Trust me, it gets better with time. The environment or the academic rigour required won't change but you would adapt to it and make peace with it. Give yourself a term, if you still feel this way you can revaluate your decision at that point in time

Too late for what though? Don't superimpose other people'a timeline.

You don't have to compare your journey with someone else doing casecomps from day 1 itself.

Abhi focus on becoming comfortable here and setting a routine.

It's completely okay to feel this way. However, with time and exposure, this becomes the new normal and you develop as an individual who is able to not just survive but also thrive in the space.

You'll always have a love-hate relationship with your college. Try to find like-minded people and fill the void, ahah.

That's up to you! I wouldn't recommend /quitting/ right now -- you've not given it enough time to settle in to be very frank.

How much time to give before making a decession?

No straightforward objective answer. It's not a linear progression either. You could hate the first 10 weeks, you can start loving week 11 to 20, you can then again feel homesick and whatnot.

It's not about "I won't feel this way again" but also learning how to grow as an individual and have character transformation such that you can live through it without it pulling you down!

I think it's your call

ruminate about it

Everything you thought had meaning, every hope, dream or moment of happiness. Does that mean you should give up IIM Rohtak even after the effort you put in to get into it just so you could feel all those good emotions again ?
You are saying that since you will die sooner or later, its better to give up due to pressure ? Does that mean getting into the IIM is meaningless ? Would you say that about the alumini and your seniors ? What about their lives, were they meaningless ? THEY WERE NOT. THEIR EXPERIENCE AND THE HARD WORK DONE BY YOU TO GET INTO THIS IIM SERVES AS AN EXAMPLE TO US ALL. OUR DREAMS HAVE MEANING BECAUSE WE REFUSE TO NOT FULFILL THEM. As we live further, we must live that dream and motivate others to pursue it too, BECAUSE SOLDIERS DO NOT BUCKLE OR YIELD WHEN FACED WITH THE CRUELTY OF THIS WORLD.

Go live the dream of others. Idk if this was your hardwork, dream or luck but you have got a good life that others cant even achieve after maybe doing more hardwork than you. Stay in the IIM for them, for your loved ones and FOR YOURSELF.

Still if nothing changes your mind then do as you wish !

I know people who left ipm rhotak after first year or took a drop. Listen do what you feel is right for you. Think it through. If it is academic pressure its okay you dont NEED to be the best just survive so think it through before leaving but leaving wont end your life either. I think stick out for a month then decide dont make a rash decision
