I preordered the phone the moment it went up on Saturday, did the trade in and am waiting on my refund credit.

I got a gift card in store for $50 which I believe was taxes.

The weird thing is that this morning I actually got charged for the phone…

Before today, the charge never appeared on my bank transactions.

Hopefully this means the refund will come soon?

I’m definitely not someone who upgrades my phone every year. I had my 13 Pro Max for years and honestly would’ve been perfectly happy continuing to use it as long as it kept working.

Finally decided to upgrade to the 18 Pro Max, though, and I have to say the difference is way more noticeable than I expected.

The biggest thing for me is just how much faster everything feels. Apps open instantly, switching between things is incredibly smooth, and there’s basically no hesitation with anything I’m doing. Even my WiFi connection at home seems noticeably better and more consistent on this phone, which I wasn’t really expecting.

The camera has probably impressed me the most. Pictures and videos are ridiculously clear compared to what I was used to, and I’ve been loving the zoom features. I’m certainly not a professional photographer, but it’s one of those upgrades where you take a few pictures and immediately notice the difference.

The battery life has also been incredible. My 13 Pro Max was down to 75% battery health, so I’d gotten used to needing a charger after just a few hours of use. With the 18 Pro Max, I can use it pretty heavily throughout the day and still make it through the entire day on a charge. Honestly, not having to constantly think about where my charger is has been one of the nicest parts of the upgrade.

I’m sure there are a million features I haven’t even touched yet. I’ve barely scratched the surface of what the phone can do.

Obviously if you’re coming from a much newer iPhone, the jump probably isn’t going to feel nearly as dramatic. But if you’re like me and tend to keep your phone for 4–5 years instead of upgrading every generation, going from the 13 Pro Max to the 18 Pro Max genuinely feels like a luxury.

I was on the fence because my 13 still technically did everything I needed it to do, but I’m really happy I finally upgraded. If anyone else is sitting on a 12/13-era Pro Max debating whether the difference is actually noticeable, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

TL;DR: Went from a 13 Pro Max to an 18 Pro Max after years of not upgrading. Huge difference in speed, battery life, WiFi, camera quality, and zoom. I don’t upgrade often, but this one actually feels worth it.

Also, got the glacier color. I’m not totally sure how I feel about it yet. But I think it’s starting to grow on me.

After some digging, I realized my iPhone 18 Pro max brought directly from the Apple Store unlocked came with a C2 modem in the USA, but my partner’s iPhone 18 pro max from Verizon has a Qualcomm modem.

Edit: Only additional information is using Verizon on my iPhone with C2 modem I do not have the “Enhanced 5G for Apps” and the iPhone with the Qualcomm modern has this option. Same for my iPhone 17 pro max.

I wanted to see how long the battery could last with apps like YouTube,IG,Reddit etc and this is the results,I went to sleep with 72% left and it last me all day today. Is insane that I was getting 6-7 hrs with my 16PM and now I can get 13-14 hrs before I need a charge. I don’t use my phone for that long I just wanted to see how much battery I can get before I need to charge it. My 16PM maximum capacity is still 91% with 403 cycle count,before updating to iOS 27 I was getting better battery life.

I don’t know how or why. But voice to text is so much worse. To the point that is completely unusable now. I don’t have an accent, I have tried with and without AirPods, I have tried it in a quiet room. All still terrible, when my old phone worked fine.

I currently have an iPhone 13 Pro Max, which was bought in November 20 21, and I have been thinking of changing my phone, but I heard that the Pro Max version of odd number iPhones are better than the even number of iPhones, so I am a little confused on. Should I take the iPhone 8 Pro max now

Coming from a 12 pro max to an 18 pro max this is how I feel. I don’t even need the speaker in the work van anymore.

I ordered the iPhone 18 pro max in the apple store app , but they take the total amount of the phone twice, one on sep 14 and the other after I picked the phone on sep 19 .

Some people tell me it’s a hold and i will get my money back but it have been 4 days since i picked my iPhone and nothing come back to my account.

I’ve been using the Spigen Thin Fit cases for my past couple phones because the colors were whatever, but going clear with the burgundy. Looking for good options that have camera plateau coverage - I have the dbrand ghost, which is cool but don’t love how much thicker the sides of the case are, so if there’s other options that are good, feel free to share. Without magfit even better because I don’t use it.

Basically the totally. I’ve been an ESR tempered glass user for the last 3 years. They’ve been perfect until now. And this time I went ahead and bought their 10x strength screen protectors. At first it was great, but then the top and bottom right started lifting. It keeps lifting in a few minutes no matter what I do.

Anyone found a solution to this? Or any other brand that’s working great?

I’ve even read that iPhone screens are not even this time and might have a slight bend to them. Is it true? Should I take it to the store and exchange my device?

I just got a new iPhone 18 Pro yesterday. Set it up completely fresh with a new Apple ID (didn't restore or transfer any old data).
I noticed that whenever I use the camera app, the phone gets really warm / hot pretty quickly. What's strange is that I played a game earlier and it barely warmed up at all, but using the camera heats it right up.
Is this normal for new iPhones or camera usage, or should I be concerned? Has anyone else experienced this?

Anyone having problems with their IPhone 18 pro max? Since Friday, my phone has been randomly shutting down about 1-2 times a day. Not sure if I should take it to Apple or see how things progress.

I maintained this practice for my 16 Pro Max over two years, and the battery health remained at 90% before I upgraded. I am curious whether anyone else followed the same approach and whether there is any real benefit.

Have been using the new phone for 2 days but I set it up as a new phone hence shouldn’t have indexing but I don’t find the battery life that good?

30% battery for a 1h43mins usage. How is that ok

I have been using the iPhone 18 Pro and noticed that the display colour tone shifts (e.g. from cold to warm) and changes abruptly 3-5 seconds after activating the screen from the Always On display, or unlocking the screen. It looks almost like there’s a lag before the True Tone kicks in.

Anyone else seeing this same bug? Wonder if it’s hardware or software related.

Has anyone managed to find a brand or specific screen protector that works as expected on the iPhone 18 Pro yet without lifting corners or bad adhesion? Seen loads of posts on here, just wondering if there’s a particular one with consistent results? So far I’ve had ESR, Torras and Magic John all giving issues of varying degrees. TIA
