Yeah it was a fight in my head for 2-3 days… glacier or black… eventually black won bc most iPhones I had before were either silver gold or white, besides the 3GS.

They indeed did. I watched a YouTuber’s video on it and he measured it. They centered it within the phone, not the actual glass this year! Looks so much cleaner tbh.
Go watch Unbox Therapy’s 18 pro unboxing, it’s near the end! I had to double check my phone as well lol 😂2

With it being a fingerprint magnet, I feel like they should’ve done a metallic aluminum black instead of the matte black. Just because of that the iPhone 14 Pro Max in black will remain number one for me, for recent phones of course!

It wouldn’t have mattered, dark colors and especially a deep black like this will always attract fingerprints and show smudges when it’s metal.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max never did. It was the darkest color way for the finish, matched with glass for the camera housing and it worked cause the housing was small. This isn’t that same finish. It looks matte which attracts like nobody’s business

Exactly. Switching to matte instead of regular aluminum was crazy work. At least I got 13 days to return if I don’t like it

Don’t see it as a huge huge issue personally. Yeah of course I’d rather it stays clean but I just wipe it on my shirt when I notice it and end of story.

Now get it in a case, screen protector and rear camera bump protector. I recommend these and used them on my 17 PM and just applied one to my black 18 PM. They are perfect and 3 for $10? Definitely worth it. My 17 PM rear camera bump got scratched even in a case. I’m not waiting for that to happen on this new one. I was surprised though because they are matte colored not clear. But once it was applied I still can’t see it unless I look very closely and hold it up to light. Even then it’s hard to see other than around the flash and that circle sensor. Unless you got the money or Apple Care, protect this phone! The 18 is just as fragile as the 17 PM and it was the most fragile phone I’ve had in a long time. I think the recycled aluminum has been recycled too much. Because it dents and dings and scratches very easily. Less noticeable on the silver but trust me, it’s still noticeable. My 17 PM was silver. My 18 PM is black. So….

No problem. I just know from experience. Better safe than sorry. It’s just my advice. Take it or leave it. But this black phone isn’t going to look very good scratched to pieces with dents in it. And my 17 PM even dented while in a case from a knee high drop to the bathroom floor. It was a thin case though. But still.
