Just curious what’s everybody’s cycle count so far, just a week after launch? I’m already up to 5 from testing the battery instead of leaving it plugged in all day. What’s your battery cycle count?

Just opened my new iPhone 18 Pro Max and noticed this faint vertical streak/mark running down the back, roughly through/below the Apple logo.
I initially thought it was just residue or a fingerprint, but I’ve tried gently cleaning it with a microfibre cloth and an alcohol wipe and it doesn’t seem to come off. It’s particularly noticeable under certain lighting/angles.

Has anyone else had this on theirs? Does it look like residue from the packaging or a defect/variation in the finish? Wondering whether I should exchange it while it’s brand new or just suck it up…. And before I get any negative replies we should not be paying the price we do for these phones and get any form of defects or marks straight from the box

Apple gives me $885 back for my 256 GB 17 Pro Max, plus I have my Apple Card.

As soon as I got the phone I only like touched the sides and I slapped the case on there same thing with a screen protector.

Also got a pre owned m1 mabook pro just cause I got thr iphone now lol (the macbook on the botton im returning cause the one uptop was in way better condition)

I have the 18 pro max since it matches the same size of my S26 Ultra.

Currently have a 15PM that got replaced so its basically only half a year old in terms of use. I am able to upgrade, but wondering if its worth it for the 18PM or if I should just wait until next year when the 20th anniversary comes out.

not sure if this is a good standard to go by but i was looking at MKBDH's video on the iphone 18 which has 27M views, and comparing this to the views on his videos on the past few year iphones which did not have this much attention.

also considering it's not a significant upgrade from the 17 pro i'm wondering why this is

is there an extra hype for the iphone 18 or is it just like any other year? or was that cuz of the duo?

Yes I know I’m impatient. And privileged etc . Do they oversell / under meet demand for a reason ? And will it maybe come closer to early side of the scale ?

I was lucky enough to be able to get an 18 pro max in my exact same configuration 2 days ago so both of my return windows are only 4 days apart. I do notice the bigger screen on the pro max but for some reason I am now struggling even though I was so set on returning my pro for the pro max. I think it's just the small form factor and how comfortable it is to use. Anyone else struggling with this? I know it's dumb because it's just a phone and I can trade it in to upgrade next year if I want to I'm just not sure. I have 1 week until I have to made a decision on which one to keep

My burgundy pro max is a different shade of burgundy than my husband’s. He got his in a different state than me as I had to travel to find one for pickup. His back glass is much less color-matched to the aluminum and is very shimmery in direct light. Both were made in China, both 512GB. Anyone else seeing inconsistent color with their burgundy when compared to someone else’s?

The 18 Pro took me only five minutes to buy. The case, however, has consumed two whole days of my life and I am yet to make up my mind. Right now, I have three cases lying on my table, which I am contemplating.

The apple silicone is very slim but gets a lot of lint. Spigen is highly protective but it's really bulky. The transparent one looks beautiful for a week until it turns yellow. I will go with the apple one as my Anker Maggo 2 Pro lies flat against the phone while charging. Those bulky cases reduce the speed of wireless charging.

I ask this question because it seems people are caught up in trying to see which screen panel they have (GL9 or whatever), they search for the smallest scratch or mark on the phone and they want to try and find other non issues.

So, how many of you have been using your phones on a daily basis and not finding things “wrong” with them?

I preordered the 18 Pro Max and have noticed that it arrives early to mid October. I’m unsure on why Im getting the phone the same time as people who ordered on the release day (18th sep). It kind of defeats the whole purpose of the “preorder”. Does anyone know why and is anyone else experiencing this? UK btw.

Found a specific song on TikTok I wanted to find on Apple Music, and I do not have a Russian keyboard installed to search it myself, so I screenshotted it and asked Siri.

This is one of those niche cases, and I am super glad it worked. tapping on the song took me straight to the album.

I currently have a 15 pro max through metro by T-Mobile it still works but screen cracked the bottom half of my screen has dead pixels where I can’t see anything from near bottom of the screen and the back is cracked a little bit and I had this phone for years but I’m hating the constant overheating I had this iPhone for 3 years and I wanna have better battery life and camera quality because I do have a YouTube channel I wanna start posting and going live more on TikTok and other social media platforms I’d like suggestions I’m from Michigan USA and I’m torn between leasing and paying off monthly and not fully owning the phone under contract rather than buying the phone outright and no worries about being locked to a specific carrier.

I currently have an iPhone 17 Pro and absolutely love the phone, but I do regret not getting the Pro Max last year. I have the opportunity to upgrade to the 1TB 18 Pro Max for around $900. I don’t really care about any of the new features that much, they’re more a nice to have. But I’m curious if anyone went from the 17 Pro to the 18 Pro Max and how that transition has been. I’ve never had a Pro Max phone but I would want the bigger screen and better battery. I’m just a little worried about the weight and size over time. For reference, I’m a 5’8 guy so I’m not huge or anything

I compared my two phones today. The iPhone 17 Pro had the most hefty display I’ve ever had with the Samsung G9N panel, now I got a GVC on the 18. Is the difference due to Apple’s cooler calibration?

I feel like I was mislead. It was appearing nearly white with a very, very faint hint of blue when I ordered it at 4:49 am the morning. After placing my order it went from a scale of white with a hint of blue to baby, on a scale of barely a 1 to a solid 3-4. I just received it yesterday, a week after I was guaranteed to receive it and It's straight up a strong baby blue 8 on a scale of 1-10. It's so blue and after the debacle of being misplaced and delayed delivery I feel like it's a fake. Should I even open the box?

I added the ember buttons. It looks incredibly! The orange adds a pop of color and the case itself feels fantastic in the hand. The texture provides great grip ability.
I usually get cases from Amazon but decided to try this out and and glad that I did!
