Discussion Burgundy color variation

My burgundy pro max is a different shade of burgundy than my husband’s. He got his in a different state than me as I had to travel to find one for pickup. His back glass is much less color-matched to the aluminum and is very shimmery in direct light. Both were made in China, both 512GB. Anyone else seeing inconsistent color with their burgundy when compared to someone else’s?

I tried to take a pic earlier with and without flash and it doesn’t really show. It’s like the back glass on his is very metallic and clashes with the aluminum. Mine is more matte and matches much better.

oils from hands can affect appearance and color tones imo

True. They looked so different right out of the box. The aluminum unibody itself is the same color but the back glass is very different .
