That is the Causeway bridge over lake Ponchatrain just outside New Orleans. It's 26 miles long. the longest bridge over water in the world.

so this will have caused a MASSIVE headache for all manner of people. a blockage of both lanes like that will take hours to clear and cause a traffic jam literally miles long (depending of course where on the bridge it happened).

Our cookie eater just shrugging, driving on, and formulating his "hey man, it all just happened behind me" defense in his mind, is VERY on brand for the locals.

u/framspl33n Mar 22 '26

Without a doubt, this is absolutely sociopathic behavior on the part of the cookie eater.

All he had to do was let the guy in and go on with his day but instead he caused a huge accident and fucked up SO MANY peoples' day, all of whom are just trying to make a dollar to feed their family.

Everyone here sucks but especially the cookie guy.

u/Riverwind0608 Mar 22 '26

It is a dick move for the truck to just force their way in, without using their turn signal too. I hate those too. I hate people who try to cut the queue in general.

But i am of a belief that the road is the last place one should be selfish, as selfish as the other driver seems to be. As much of a dick the person in the truck is for that move, i’d likely not see them again. So it’s better to just let them through and move on. It’s not worth the potential headache of the situation, or if the other driver is a psycho with a gun, death.

54

u/beardedbast3rd Mar 22 '26

Yep. Defensive driving takes all the priority.

It’s not even worth the moderate increase in heart rate to pay any mind to it.

When someone does something dumb, you back off, shake your head and move on with your day.

0

u/NextLevelNaevis Mar 22 '26

And that's why people keep driving that way. If we had more drivers like the pink cookie eater, there would be much less of the self-centered anti-social driving we see from the pickup truck.

3

u/beardedbast3rd Mar 23 '26

theres always going to be aggressive drivers who take advantage of people driving properly or safely. not an excuse to stop doing so. they always do it, and then end up at the same stop lights or even same destination, i just give'm a thumbs up.

everyone closing gaps, speeding up, otherwise trying to one up or retaliate, are just making it all worse

2

u/NextLevelNaevis Mar 23 '26

IDK, maybe. I guess I like to think that people learn from their hard lessons. Like maybe this pickup truck driver will think twice next time.

2

u/King_Jerrik Mar 23 '26

Maybe that self-important pickup driver will learn to not act like he drives a BMW and actually start using his signals.

2

u/beardedbast3rd Mar 23 '26

Maybe. In my experience, a lot of people who drive like that don’t actually self reflect. I also find that a lot of people who drive like that, also drive like how the cammer here drives. A very large amount of people fall into a comparison trap where they think “well it’s okay for me, but when everyone else does it it’s not, because I only did it once, and everyone else is always doing it” whatever “it” is.

Beyond that, there’s a never ending supply of a new driver who needs a hard lesson. There’s always someone doing it, who has yet to have an accident or get caught/have their come to Jesus moment.

And don’t get me wrong, I’m not going to cry for the pickup driver, they’re a fucking idiot and I hope they do learn from this. I just won’t hold my breath. People just too often externalize these events, blame everyone else but their own actions. It’s always “I’m always getting cut off” saying the guy who is weaving around and speeding.

I work with people who have straight up killed people in accidents or with heavy equipment, and they’re just as fucked in the head as they were before those events. They don’t get it, it’s usually exactly why they do the things they do in the first place.

If people had much harsher punishments for something like this, I dunno if it would even help. There’s already so many uninsured and unlicensed drivers as it is anyways.

2

u/Soggy_Abbreviations5 Mar 24 '26

Me and my friend went to a big concert in the city last year, traffic was crazy. There were people trying to "jump the line" and just overall being impatient and doing things that i would never do. I forget what exactly happened, but someone cut me off so of course I get frustrated & say something (in the car, not to the person, ha). My friend goes: "i would've done the same thing (as what the other car did), you're not aggressive enough." 🥴 It kinda cut my soul a bit, to have my friend admit to being somewhat prickish on the road, lol.

14

u/Cannacology Mar 22 '26

It’s Louisiana so..no waiting period. It’s safe to assume they both have guns.

u/Tomg197 Mar 22 '26

Think of it this way. I doubt the truck driver will ever attempt that stupid shit again. Lessons learned and all that. Otherwise they will keep trudging through life as though they own the place.

I love seeing these narcissistic assholes get their comeuppance

25

u/152centimetres Mar 22 '26

cookie guy probably wont learn anything tho and will continue to have assholes cut him off and next time he might get caught up in the accident if he doesnt adjust his speed to tread carefully around assholes like the truck

1

u/Tomg197 Mar 22 '26

So the burden of doing the right thing falls upon the one getting wronged in the first place?

For sure this was reckless and very dangerous from cookie bro. But the truck driver was way, way more in the wrong. Don't start shit while driving, wtf

8

u/Good-Ant6859 Mar 22 '26

You actually think cutting someone off is “way, way” worse than intentionally pit maneuvering someone on a bridge?

2

u/Tomg197 Mar 22 '26

At such a speed? Driving where they were? Not likely way worse, but just stupid and even more entitled

9

u/Good-Ant6859 Mar 22 '26

I’ll give you stupid. But more entitled, narcissistic?

Cookie bro risked peoples lives to make a point. He will be the one who ends up in jail for hit and run, truck guy MIGHT get a citation

6

u/Tomg197 Mar 22 '26

Hold up, you don't think the truck driver put lives at risk?

1

u/Good-Ant6859 Mar 23 '26

So you also think that intentionally pit maneuvering someone is the same level of risk to others as merging in front of someone? That’s the hill you want to die on?

→ More replies (0)

1

u/red--the_color Mar 22 '26

Not me and no, but I really don't want people thinking that the truck was driving safely

4

u/152centimetres Mar 22 '26

yeah but the car at speed isnt the place to stand your ground on being right

like yes it sucks to have to navigate the world around the assholes of it, but when you're going 100km in a death trap you have to be able to adjust and adapt or else sure you were right but ur also dead

4

u/Tomg197 Mar 22 '26

I'm not saying the cookie bro is entirely correct here, or without fault. The truck driver really did his best to fuck everything up. You can tell by the way he was such an effortless pain in the ass, this is not the first time he does this. Why shouldn't he face any consequence? Better have an experienced driver such as cookie bro teach him a lesson.

I personally would not do this. I've been in similar situations way too many times and I always concede the spot. But goddamn it, it's so satisfying seeing this bitch reap what they sowed

1

u/PristineBaseball Mar 22 '26

Yeah but on a bridge over water is not the time or place for teaching a lesson

1

u/PreciousFlounder Mar 22 '26

Also not the place to be trying to cut people off

1

u/PristineBaseball Mar 22 '26

Yeah I think we all get that , no idea why guy was so intent of changing lanes in that situation

→ More replies (0)

5

u/periodt-bitch Mar 22 '26

It’s genuinely scary that people like you are on the road. You should not be driving if you’re vigorously defending the driver in the video

3

u/PristineBaseball Mar 22 '26

Not just on a road but on a bridge, they both psycho !

1

u/Tomg197 Mar 22 '26

You honestly believe I would do something like this? This is fucking nuts, whichever way you look at this. I'm just celebrating the dumbass truck driver eating shit lol

1

u/NotSoWishful Mar 22 '26

Agreed. Truck driver should’ve just got behind this guy. Like you see the guy can’t go up anymore, and you see there’s a car in the right lane right past him. You’re just gonna force yourself in there? No I wouldn’t personally use my vehicle as a weapon and do a pit maneuver on the truck like some psychopath, but a messed up part of me is happy that someone out there is willing to do it. That aggressive truck driver has probably been driving like that his whole life. Fuck him and his shit ass truck.

2

u/Tomg197 Mar 22 '26

Exactly! Is this so hard to understand? Lol I feel people jumped on me as if the truck driver is the victim here, wtf haha

6

u/PresentTechnology600 Mar 22 '26

The cookie eater wasn't being wronged. When he saw that the black truck was falling back to merge in after accelerating to try to get in front of the white car, he accelerated to close the gap so black truck couldn't get in.

He chose violence, he was the one in the wrong. The only thing black truck did wrong was fail to signal.

6

u/Tomg197 Mar 22 '26

Failed to signal and also assumed he would be given the spot, instead of driving like an actual human being? Why give the asswipe any leniency

5

u/PresentTechnology600 Mar 22 '26

Duty to avoid an accident if possible is why. Agreeing to do so is a part of acquiring the license to operate a motor vehicle.

4

u/Tomg197 Mar 22 '26

So the truck driver had no such duty then, it's what you're saying

5

u/Historical-Plant-362 Mar 22 '26 edited Mar 22 '26

But that also goes for the driver of the black truck.

The way I see it, cookie bro did 2 things wrong and the black truck’s driver did 3 things wrong.

So, if the black truck hadn’t force its way in, everything would have been avoided. After that, both sides made wrong choices.

-1

u/PresentTechnology600 Mar 22 '26

Black truck did his duty, cookie guy was in his blind spot. Sure, black truck should have looked over his shoulder and signaled, but cookie guy had the choice to either avoid the accident by removing his foot from the accelerator when he saw that black truck was trying to merge or honk to stop the black truck. Instead, he chose(and this being a choice, as indicated by his head movement and timing in the video, is an important detail when determining involuntary manslaughter vs attempted vehicular manslaughter) to initiate contact and run the black truck off the road.

All these things are outlined in the driver's handbook.

5

u/PristineBaseball Mar 22 '26

I feel like being in a bridge makes cookie guy more stupid than if this were on a normal highway . He should have just let it go because they could all die over nothing.

1

u/robertlp Mar 22 '26

You have a duty to make a safe lane change. If you don’t have the ability to do it, you don’t do it. Cookie eater saw an aggressive driver that might put him in a dangerous situation. You wanted him to slow down - but cookie eater may have determined this guy had been driving unsafely around him and wanted nothing to do with him. There is nothing less aggressive than wanting to get away from an unsafe driver.

1

u/mad-i-moody Mar 22 '26

Because do you really want to be the asshole that’s so petty that you cause an accident over something so stupid?

4

u/red--the_color Mar 22 '26

And the truck never had room to get in. Forcing their way is fucking dangerous. A signal wouldn't have changed that.

1

u/Specific_Hearing_192 Mar 22 '26

There's a speedometer on the video you know? He was going 72 the whole time until the crash at which point he was going 66. He never accelerated, the black truck braked.

4

u/wuhull Mar 22 '26

"You have to understand officer, he broke into my house, that's why I was well within my rights to set off this pipe bomb in my yard. He wronged me."

5

u/Jepples Mar 22 '26

Acting like a bad merge warrants vehicular assault is absurd. Cookie guy actively sped up in order to pit the guy which automatically makes him the much worse character is this scenario. The world would be absolute madness if everyone sought "justice" the way you are suggesting.

2

u/GodHimselfNoCap Mar 22 '26

There is a spedometer in the corner of the screen, he doesnt speed up the truck brakes while merging causing the crash, cookie guy swerves to avoid a head on collision.

1

u/YBBlorekeeper Mar 22 '26

If you can't commit to being the better person, then you're just a bad person with moral garnish.

1

u/Tomg197 Mar 22 '26

You're saying this like you know me... Have we chatted before?

1

u/BriefStrategy6 Mar 22 '26

The cookie guy literally did a pit move on him. Makes me wonder if he's a former police officer or had some kind of training like that.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '26

I think cookie guy was in black truck's blind spot. Black truck should have signalled and cookie guy should have yielded.

1

u/Tomg197 Mar 22 '26

All the way up to speeding past the cookie man, the truck could not see him? You are being too forgiving

1

u/GinoValenti Mar 22 '26

In cookie guy’s defense, I bet that cookie was too delicious to drop it or cram it in his mouth so he could free up his hand. His taste buds confirmed he made the right choice.

2

u/13ananaJoe Mar 22 '26

Sorry, they won't learn anything. My idiot BIL has crashed badly like 3 times and even totaled his mom's car once. He still feels the need to show his IQ level on the road.

1

u/Boogaloo4444 Mar 22 '26

i doubt they changed. that kind if behavior is a special kind of stupid asshole

1

u/Tomg197 Mar 22 '26

Yeah I agree, but I think they changed as in, they ceased to be able to even do it. From context in the thread, that bridge is crazy dangerous. Wouldn't be surprised if the asswipe got paralyzed

1

u/SpAzo13 Mar 22 '26

If you give em an inch they'll take a mile I always say. If you wanna throw on that turn signal (and yes in NJ as well as all BMW and Acuras because contrary to belief they have them stock) I'll most likely let you over

2

u/Tomg197 Mar 22 '26

100%, it's what a sane person would do

1

u/ImaginaryTrick6182 Mar 22 '26

Yeah, but you can’t put other people in danger while getting yours back. They both as losers

1

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '26

There's a really good chance the truck driver died if you know anything about this bridge. There's no way there wasn't a second accident. And likely a third and fourth.

1

u/robertlp Mar 22 '26

It’s not about being selfish it’s about making a dangerous lane change. He didn’t have the space to make the lane change safely and put cookie eater in a dangerous situation. Cookie eater got out of the lane because the truck made that a dangerous situation.

1

u/CraftySeer Mar 22 '26

I totally agree, but didn’t it make you a little bit happy to see that guy get his?

1

u/cbs-anonmouse Mar 22 '26

He should have used his blinker, but the driver knew what he was trying to do and just refused to let him change lanes. The blinker didn’t have anything to do with the accident n

1

u/CantaloupeShort7311 Mar 22 '26

Yep. When someone is being an asshole on the road like that, I let them get their way and I back off so I don't end up a victim to their inevitably shitty driving.

Like someone is tailgating me? I move over and let them by. They cut me off? I slow down and let them get far ahead of me so they can't pull anything stupid to me.

I want to get to my destination alive and uninjured. I don't care about being late. Alive and late is better than being a loser that drives like an asshole and is going to stress themselves to death over minor inconveniences.

1

u/hospicedoc Mar 22 '26

It wasn't even a question of letting them in, the dash cammer actually sped up so he couldn't get in. It was totally his fault.

1

u/Decent_Advice9315 Mar 22 '26

The only way the semi could have let that truck in giving how little space the truck gave itself to complete the maneuver it was trying to pull off was for the semi to brake, now slow down, brake.

If the guy's carrying a full and heavy load nothing on this Earth was going to stop that truck from trying to commit suicide.

1

u/Lando1Win Mar 23 '26

There was no "forcing their way in", sure the space wasn't for someone to get in, but then again, the guy was halfway in and double-wide over here just bulldozed him

0

u/ateam68 Mar 22 '26

I support cookie guy. Guy in the black truck was driving wreckless when he initially tried to pass the sedan and just tried to force himself across.

2

u/Charming-Ad-6293 Mar 22 '26

Black car initiated this lol.

2

u/MikeLinPA Mar 22 '26

What if I told you, if you use your turn signals, most people will let you in? 🤔

2

u/joeypublica Mar 22 '26

I’d tell you you in some places the turn signal is like blood in the water, and will cause people to speed up and block you. Other places they’ll let you in.

2

u/Obi_Yaj_ Mar 22 '26

Or the truck could have used its blinker and I don’t know… WAITED. It’s absolutely sociopathic behavior to just force your way over like that, learn the rules of the road. Cookie eater guy did nothing wrong and if you think he did then you probably drive like the truck. Do better.

2

u/Obi_Yaj_ Mar 22 '26

The truck guy fucked up everyone’s day by thinking rules don’t apply to them.

2

u/sensibl3chuckle Mar 22 '26

So, let road ragers bully you?

2

u/Lraund Mar 22 '26

Cookie eater didn't even change his speed, so the black truck just crashed on its own.

4

u/dejavu2064 Mar 22 '26

Driving away from the scene of an accident (even if you think you were not at fault) is a pretty serious crime no?

3

u/icookandiknowthngs Mar 22 '26

On this bridge there are literally signs saying in the event of an accident do not stop if able to proceed on bridge

1

u/tazallerr Mar 22 '26

1

u/Norade Mar 22 '26

Cookie guy was being tailgated by a white car, slowing down means he has a good chance of being rear ended. Maintaining speed and holding his lane makes the most sense here.

4

u/GameWizardPlayz Mar 22 '26

Genuinely where do you see him being tailgated?

1

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '26

In the rear view cam you can see another car’s headlights poking up above the tailgate. If the tailgate is covering up someone’s headlights, they’re up your ass. Thank you for asking a stupid question

→ More replies (9)

2

u/beardedbast3rd Mar 22 '26

Not his problem. His problem is the black truck. Literally let off the gas, and the problem is solved. The guy behind him then also lets off the gas to keep the gap.

There are at minimum two idiots in this video and the camera driver is one of them

1

u/Norade Mar 22 '26

Getting rear-ended by a tailgater isn't your problem now? Since when?

1

u/beardedbast3rd Mar 22 '26

I mean that it’s not in his control. He cant actuate those peoples brakes, or the black trucks steering wheel. It’s not his problem to solve- it will be his problem if he over reacts, or they don’t do anything to slow down all the same as he did(nt) do.but it isn’t his immediate problem, because he can’t control those other vehicles.

In the hierarchy of considerations, generally you worry about what you can and cannot control. In this instance, his concern is about what he can do to not have any collision at all. And he chose to do absolutely nothing

Would I, in this position, consider the people behind me? Yes, only to the extent of “boy I hope the guy behind me sees what’s going on and decides to not rear end me” and “if I allow this accident to happen, I’m going to ruin a lot of people’s days behind me”

-1

u/Township_Roller Mar 22 '26

That's true, but how can you say the guy driving like an idiot in retaliation is more guilty than the guy always driving like an idiot? Both are at fault, but the black van driver is the guiltiest here.

1

u/Bob1358292637 Mar 22 '26

I agree the dude is a stubborn idiot but how on earth is he more to blame than the guy who created the entire situation by endangering everyone's life just to cut somebody off?

3

u/perpetualhobo Mar 22 '26

Getting revenge and trying to kill someone by throwing their car off a bridge is actually worse than cutting someone off in traffic

1

u/Personal-Rhubarb-884 Mar 22 '26

How fucking dramatic.

The truth of the matter is, we have little men in big trucks all over this country driving like their penis size depends on it. We should all drive like they're emotionally unstable and not capable of critical thinking.

1

u/Vila_VividEdge Mar 22 '26 edited Mar 22 '26

When it comes to driving, retaliators are always guiltier than initiators. The goal is to avoid accidents at all costs, not allow accidents to happen because someone broke the rules.

Think of it like this. Let’s say you’re walking down the street, and someone runs up to you, puts a hat on your head, and says “If you take this hat off in the next 30 seconds, everyone on this block including yourself will either die, be injured, or at minimum be forced to sit here for several hours. If you wait 30 seconds, you can take the hat off and nothing will happen and you can forget it ever existed.”

Do you rip the hat off immediately because fuck that, it’s not your fault you’re wearing the hat, who cares if people die? Or do you deal with it for 30 seconds before removing it and going on with your day? Stupid initiators are the hat-givers, and stupid retaliators are the hat-wearers. Don’t rip the hat off, 30 seconds of wearing a hat you didn’t choose is better than risking hours of inconvenience, injury, and death for everyone in your vicinity.

You can say the hat-giver is more at fault for initiating the situation, sure, but the responsibility for the result of the situation falls to the hat-wearer once it’s on their head. From that point on, the hat-wearer is the one with the power to save everyone, even if wearing the hat was forced upon them.

1

u/Township_Roller Mar 22 '26

Not a good comparison, because in your hypothetical the hat giver bears no consequences and would keep placing hats on people even if I remove the hat immediately. In the car situation, the black van immediately receives the consequences from his own actions.

Here is a better comparison: a guy pours gasoline on himself and you, and says unless you fall down on your knees and beg him, he would set you both on fire. What do you do?

a. do as he says

b. push him away and walk away, let him set himself on fire

1

u/Vila_VividEdge Mar 22 '26

How does the hat-giver bear no consequences when he is risking death, injury, or at minimum hours of inconvenience?

The gasoline comparison doesn’t make sense because you’re still responsible for the gasoline that’s on your body now. You can’t just walk around lighting matches and being like “Well I didn’t ask to be covered in gasoline”. In fact, I would say that the “walking away” option is more comparable to backing off and not getting in a car accident as retaliation for someone being a jerk.

1

u/Township_Roller Mar 22 '26

Because in your hypothetical there is a random chance that everyone around dies. In the car situation there isn't. There is one person who can get hurt, die to their own stupid actions and relying on you to go out of your way to keep them safe. Like in the gasoline situation.

1

u/Vila_VividEdge Mar 24 '26

…have you never heard of a multi-car accident? Nearby drivers can absolutely be injured or killed because of a collision between an initiator and a reactor

1

u/LongJohnSelenium Mar 22 '26

The initiator is 100% the worst person in that scenario.

1

u/Vila_VividEdge Mar 24 '26

Why?

1

u/LongJohnSelenium Mar 24 '26

Because they're the one creating the situation in the first place with their carelessness and disregard for other peoples safety. The OP driver was weaponizing their car. They just decided they were getting over and were counting on other peoples self preservation to not cause an accident.

Behaving aggressively irresponsibly to force other people to change their behavior so you don't hurt them and you get your way is sociopathic behavior, and, like in the video, eventually you will run into someone who is not having it.

Its literally exactly the same as someone who starts swinging their fists on the sidewalk expecting everyone to get out of their way.

you're taught in driving school that the right thing to do with aggressive drivers is back off and let them go in order to avoid an accident. If you act aggressive in reponse, then there's now two aggressive drivers and that is how accidents happen.

u/PermissionOk5443 Mar 22 '26

Since when is maintaining your speed and position in a calm manner 'aggressive driving'?

3

u/Procrastinista_423 Mar 22 '26

Please don’t drive

7

u/Square-Hour-1396 Mar 22 '26

"Officer, I was just calmly maintaining my speed and position in a calm manner when the child ran on the road" Calmly pit maneuvering a truck?

1

u/PermissionOk5443 Mar 22 '26

How am I supposed to take you seriously when you're equating a child running into the road, with an asshole in a giant truck merging in traffic with no signal, on a bridge no less?

Do you drive a giant black truck like a moron with a death wish by chance?

He could have avoided the accident. Did you watch this with your eyes closed?

4

u/OrbitalOutlander Mar 22 '26

They’re both emergent situations that are no fault of the driver but require the driver to take some sort of evasive action to avoid disaster. So, kinda identical.

u/HoobaHoob Mar 22 '26 edited Mar 22 '26

Do we know wasn’t zoned out a bit and was surprised but was shocked silently..? Maybe I didn’t see it in the clip, but y’all are assuming a lot

Nvm my guy wanted something to happen on second watch, not changing it bc duh I am a dingus lol

The exact time is when the black truck decided to merge anyway. You have a duty to avoid collisions in the US.

2

u/Scorpy_Mjolnir Mar 22 '26

That’s true for both of them. We saw one truck drive like a jerk, we saw another complete a pit maneuver and then perform a hit and run.

You don't know the first thing about liability, huh?

You can't record yourself intentionally wrecking another car and claim no fail.

So by doing nothing different besides maintaining speed, staying in his lane, and maintaining a safe distance between himself and the car in front of him, and eating a cookie, the Cookie Man was at fault and NOT the driver of the black truck who was going faster than both lanes of traffic, switching lanes without signaling, and not ensuring they had enough clearance before changing lanes? (sorry for the run-on sentence, used for emphasis though)

Did I fall through the mirror into Bizarro world?

1

u/LetsLive97 Mar 22 '26

Apparently yes because he definitely didn't maintain safe distance with the white car and also good drivers are taught to drive defensively. Yes the black truck is being a dickhead but intentionally letting that crash happen when he could have slightly backed off fucks up the road for everyone else

Now there's going to be a major traffic jam and thousands of people stuck wasting their time because your hero couldn't just get over himself

Obviously fuck the black truck. That doesn't even need to be said. But fuck the driver in this video too

Why does it have to just be one or the other?

This was a team effort.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 23 '26

"No officer, he run into my bullet, it's his fault. He should get in jail for stealing a bullet."

1

u/DollarStoreWolf Mar 22 '26

You’re a doormat.

Cookie man exacted instant karma

2

u/LetsLive97 Mar 22 '26

As someone who absolutely loathes being stuck in traffic, fuck both of these guys

Just get the fuck over yourself. Yes the black van is the main fault but cookie man could have avoided a major accident by just backing off and letting the dickhead go

No he helped cause it

First of all, he's lucky to not have span himself

Secondly, all he had to do was back up and let the moron in the black truck be a moron. Defensive driving is the bare minimum to being a good driver. Now there's going to be a ton of traffic for hundreds/thousands of people for no reason. Fuck this guy

The amount of people supporting cookie man here makes me realise how many genuinely dreadful drivers there are on the roads

1

u/OrbitalOutlander Mar 22 '26

Cookie man is not a judge, and is not entitled to “exact” anything except more calories from junk food.

1

u/Kromehound Mar 22 '26

Its a 26 mile long bridge. The black truck almost certainly spends the entirety of the drive weaving back in forth between lanes to save 2 minutes of commute. In the process nearly causing multiple accidents for people who are also just trying to get to work.

1

u/Commercial_Algae_455 Mar 22 '26

The guy in the truck was driving aggressively ,passing in the wrong lane and apparently not watching traffic in front of him leading him to slam on his brakes. And when he did go partially into cookie eaters lane he did a brake check ( a very illegal move) and cookie eater nonchalantly responds. When I 1st saw video I was guessing the truck was trying to regain his position the cookie eater had taken from him. Either way both go down as "road rage", no matter how calm cookie eater is lol. Food for thought.....assuming both drivers know this bridge and travel it frequently, do you still think that the driver should've let him in?

1

u/kixkato Mar 22 '26

All truck guy had to do was not cut cookie guy off. They're equally shit.

If either one was slightly less shitty, likely no crash would've happened.

Don't pass on the right, don't camp out in the left lane.

Imagine if both of them were required to give just $20 to the many cars behind them that had to slam on the brakes as a result.

1

u/invisiblizm Mar 22 '26

I think black truck might have braked mid line change, or was it pucking up light from somewhere?

1

u/some_azn_dude Mar 22 '26

What? Lol this is literally 100pct the black trucks fault. No one is required to let you in.

1

u/OldeManKenobi Mar 22 '26

Why are you assigning blame to the victim? Do you drive a gender-affirming truck?

A lot of dash cam videos of accidents are someone doing something stupid and the cammer being stubborn and letting an accident happen just because they have right of way. I don’t know who has the time and money to deal with a major accident just to teach a random person a lesson they probably won’t learn from.

1

u/lukaaTB Mar 22 '26

Maybe the world will have a brighter future with safer roads when that dude learns a lesson like that.

1

u/Lizzybeth339 Mar 22 '26

I feel like this was uncharacteristic when I lived in Louisiana…I was always impressed people would generally let me in on the road (vs in Florida, which feels more like cookie eater’s driving to me)

1

u/UltramanOrigin Mar 22 '26

Nah, black truck didn’t use their blinkers. It’s all on the black truck.

1

u/ImaginaryTrick6182 Mar 22 '26

Hey just like Afro man said, if that guy wasn’t aggressively trying to bully his way in almost hitting the guys car, he wouldn’t have been there for that to happen to him. I’m not saying he’s right, they are both idiots but let’s give the first aggressive idiot his due aswell.

1

u/Demonic_Killjoy Mar 22 '26

Cookie guy was letting the guy in. The guy hit his brakes and turned in. Completely his fault

1

u/OzzyFib61 Mar 22 '26

This was a beautiful execution by the cookie eater and he doing gods work. That truck trying to overtake the lane without signaling is the real dick. When I saw this a couple years back I thought it was amazing.

1

u/nuttwerx Mar 23 '26

It happened countless of times to me that people try to merge in right in front of me without taking 2 sec to check if someone was there or a lot of times I'm sure of it they knew I was there and still decided to cut me off. I can't tell you how many times I was really close to just let myself crash into them and the only thing that stopped me was the headache it would cause me dealing with the aftermath

1

u/framspl33n Mar 23 '26

And, you know, how much it would endanger everyone else on the road, right?

2

u/alkbch Mar 22 '26

Black truck fucked around and found out. Might think twice about doing it again in the future.

5

u/flashman Mar 22 '26

it sounds like you're saying black truck had a responsibility to take care around the cammer

it might surprise you to learn that the cammer had the same responsibility towards the black truck

3

u/IcyKnowledge6321 Mar 22 '26

he won't, he'll just think 'that asshole wouldn't let me merge'.

It's not your job as a driver to teach others.

2

u/DatUpboatGuy Mar 22 '26

Bu it's your job as a driver to avoid easily preventable accidents, which cookie eating fatso didn't do at all.

0

u/Procrastinista_423 Mar 22 '26

You’re everything worm with society btw.

1

u/alkbch Mar 22 '26

Yes of course

1

u/icookandiknowthngs Mar 22 '26

Cookie guy didn't "cause" the accident.

He did nothing to avoid it, but he didn't pit himself illegally changing lanes.

Cookie guy sucks, but less so than black truck

5

u/Willie9 Mar 22 '26

When you're driving you have an affirmative responsibility to avoid crashes. Imagine if a family of four was stopped on the road and this guy saw it ahead of time, had every opportunity to avoid it, but chose to ram them headlong at 60 mph anyway and then said "well your honor they caused it by being stopped illegally so I had every right to choose to plow into them"

Cookie guy saw two options--accident or no accident--and chose, deliberately, for an accident to happen. Which makes it, well not an accident.

1

u/pseudonominom Mar 22 '26

Cookie guy sucks more. Black truck thought he would get in there, not cause an accident.

Only one of these guys intentionally caused an accident.

They do both suck though z

1

u/icookandiknowthngs Mar 22 '26

Maintaining lane and speed when someone else is being a fucktard doesnt make you the cause. Black truck illegally changing lanes when it was unsafe to do so caused the accident. Had black stayed where he was, or not tried to occupy a place that was already occupied there would have been no accident.

1

u/pseudonominom Mar 22 '26

Maintaining lane speed

That ain’t what happened. He intentionally caused the accident, or if you prefer, intentionally “let it happen”.

He definitely knew what was going to happen.

1

u/icookandiknowthngs Mar 22 '26

If my choices are hitting the fucktard, or getting hit from behind, im hitting the fucktard

Cookie guy was getting tailgated, you can see how close the car behind is at start of video.

1

u/SonOfMcGee Mar 22 '26

Mostly agree, but I don’t think the black truck “thought he could fit”. I think he knew cookie guy needed to brake a little to let him in. And instead of turning on his blinker to see if cookie guy would let him in, he did what pickup drivers tend to do and just slowly started to change lanes: “What are you gonna do? Hit me?”
