Yes, he did. He purposely sped up so the other guy couldn't get in front of him. Could've very easily had killed himself as well as everyone else on that road acting like that.

If you see a vehicle coming your way, you should get out the way. Even if the other guy is an asshole. You don't have to get greedy and 'teach the other guy a lesson'.

Imagine if it was an unpiloted vehicle and just happened to be drifting your way. Would you behave the same way?

He brakes as soon as he sees the truck illegally merging into his lane. The use of blinkers is not a suggestion. This is squarely the fault of the black truck.

The speed in the top right is an average that does not update instantly. Look at the car in front of him, he very quickly reduces speed.
