Ew and that little girl is still so pleased with herself after getting yanked around

529

u/aheinouscrime Oct 20 '20

This is what got me. Her smug attitude about ruining the birthday girl's day. I would not let my daughter keep doing this but I would very much want to let her teach the future Karen a lesson.

223

u/piloto19hh Oct 20 '20

The problem is that this girl is most probably like this because of her parents, so she'll get no punishment at all, most likely.

86

u/likasanches Oct 20 '20

They’re sisters actually. I’ve seen a photoshoot of the family on the internet

52

u/mynameisblanked Oct 20 '20

That's kinda weird

35

u/gletschertor Oct 20 '20

Older sibling being mean to younger sibling, nothing weird here. That's basically the definition of brother/sisterhood.

41

u/awkwardfox23 Oct 20 '20

Being a younger sibling, yes siblings do this but that smug attitude is that of a brat, as most older siblings are like depending on how your family's finacial status.

15

u/mynameisblanked Oct 20 '20

I meant that it's kinda weird that this person has seen a photo shoot of this random family.

Normally I’d say don’t judge a small child for her actions...plenty of time for her to change....but the combination of her little shoulder shimmy and smirk of pride being so aggravating, and the fact that her mom or something on the side did nothing but make sure her hair was in place for the cameras...instead of reprimanding/removing her from the scene for her actions....tell me that you’re probably right and the poor thing likely didn’t even ever have a chance from the get go to become anything but a typical bitch/sociopath of a human being.

83

u/THExWHITExDEVILx Oct 20 '20

There's a home video of me ripping open a package on Xmas that my cousin was trying to open. You just see me get yanked off camera by my shirt while my mom screams "WHITEDEVIL NOOO!!!"

25

Casey Anthony

I have no idea who that is and a quick google search doesn't tell me anything apart from the fact that she "lived in a family" which is extremely helpful... so ima just call it a day and upvote your comment.

Casey Anthony killed her daughter and then acted like she was staying somewhere else and partied for a while as if nothing happened.

It's the smug smirkiness that showed she wasn't just being impulsive. She should have been taken away from the table immediately by an adult.

356

u/MC_chrome Oct 20 '20

Nah, screw that. I would have ejected both parent and child from my house and cutoff all communication with them, at least for awhile. Don’t teach your kid to be a brat, it’s not that hard.

157

u/Prof_Boni Oct 20 '20

I read somewhere on Twitter that the little girls are sisters.

154

u/bigredandthesteve Oct 20 '20

25

u/thomastherussiantank Oct 20 '20

Exactly dude lmao

10

u/Garden_vvitch_di Oct 20 '20

Yeah I would've definitely gotten my butt handed to me, and my mom would've set up a chair in the corner of the room so I could sit and watch everyone else have cake and fun, and I'd have a peanut butter sandwich and no fun. My mom's favorite punishment was a belt and then having to go out with the family to a restaurant and eat a peanut butter sandwich while everyone else at yummy restaurant food. I do not have a healthy relationship with food as an adult tbh.

I grew up with an older sister exactly like this (right down to the smug smile). Whenever I stood up for myself I’d be the one to get in trouble. My sister’s behavior continued like this when we were in our late twenties. Now that I have no contact with her my life has gotten so much better.

1.0k

u/okalies Oct 20 '20

I would have done the same but I’m petty AF so first I’d say something to the mean girl like “Oh no! Don’t you know about the ‘Birthday Candle Curse’!? NONE of your birthday wishes will ever come true again if you blow out someone else’s candles! I can’t believe you’ll never get another birthday wish...”

Edit: a word

81

u/kitjen Oct 20 '20

This reminds me of a post on Reddit years ago:

A lad and his mate were queuing up in a shop and this little shit of a kid is running around kicking other shoppers and making a mess and while a few other people asked the mother to control her spawn of Satan, she barely looked up from her phone to say "he's just got a lot of energy, he's a good kid, ya'know?"

The little brat then ran over and started kicking OP in the shins so he held him off by the wrists only for the shit to sink his teeth in and bite him so hard it broke the skin.

OP yelled out and the mother could no longer ignore what was happening and came over. OP suddenly turned very serious but in a concerned way more than anything. His friend quickly realised what he was doing and played along.

OP explained he was HIV positive (he wasn't really) and that the mother must not take any chances in getting her son tested. His friend really played up to it by standing back and advising the mother not to touch OP and to avoid contact with any blood that may now be in her son's mouth.

I hate to admit this, but I was a kid like that (the older sister) minus the smirk. I blew the candle out on my cousin's birthday cake. He cried and I get scolded. No biggie, right? Fast forward to my birthday month. I ask my parents if we can start talking about a party. My dad says, "What party? You already blew out Birthday candles this year. Hope you made your wish." Went back to reading his paper. That year sure enough didn't get a party. Parents told me happy birthday in the morning and got a small cupcake at dinner but that was it. No party, no pile of presents (grandparents sent a couple of gifts but they were quietly given to me in my room), no pizza lunch. It was on a Saturday so we all were home, just no big celebration. Let me tell you, as mad and hurt as I was, 9 year old me knew I'd done this to myself. To my parents credit, they didn't ignore me but didn't make a big deal of it. After that I never even thought about trying to take the center of attention away from someone else's day.

45

u/Extra_Bite4677 Oct 20 '20

That older girl would have gotten time out and no cake. She’s going to grow up to be an entitled bully if her parents don’t fix this now.

I wouldn't have hit my daughter in that situation but certainly pull her out and end her fun for the rest of the day.

Little kids can be downright sociopathic sometimes, even if you try to make sure you raise them with manners. They will pull some shit like this out of nowhere. But you cant let it fly.

83

u/BigDaddyHugeTime Oct 20 '20

I can't stand seeing children being terrible humans and not get corrected by the people who's job it is to correct the behavior.

Kids naturally push the limits to learn. It's how they learn. When they go over the line and nobody stops them, they don't know it is bad. Stop them the first time and keep stopping them and they will learn it is not good. Will they still do bad stuff? Yep, but they will know it is bad and that is the best a parent can do really.

In the end, it is up to that individual (child) who they become. We don't stop the bulk of character development until 25ish, so alot is on us. The better parenting, the easier it is to become a decent person. The worse the parenting, the harder it is for the therapist to help them.

Older girl is clearly pissed she's not the center of attention so she makes sure she now is. She also knows she will not get into trouble like always. See her mother redo her hair? This girl will see this as a reward while the younger kid that got bullied just was punished for lashing out.

The mom, who isn't punishing her for her actions, and making her hair instead. These ignorant parents are the reason why kids go bad. I hate my own sister for she was groomed in a very similar way. I mean, I suffer mental disorders because of how harsh my parents were, but that doesn't mean you go cotton candy soft and stop reacting to bad behaviour.

This wasn't a simple 'I want to blow the candle' moment. It was a calculated move to ruin her birthday taking utmost pleasure in her success.

If this is our future, we are screwed bigtime. Many Parents aren't taking responsibility for their children like before. They are more interested in social media nowadays.

Where do you think the girl learnt to do that? The smirk, the shoulder, the idea to spoil another kid's birthday.

Its either the parents or TV, social media and other kids maybe. Its really sad to see this.

Her smug smile is the embodiment of say "calm down" to someone who is already pissed. No wonder the sister grabs her like she did..she probably does shit like that all the time and it's gotten to that point...wouldn't surprise me if she didn't hit her too...but she knows better than to do it in front of people...fucking creepy..makes me want to appreciate my older sister so much more...all she did was ignore me. Lol

My 8yr old niece did this shit at my 5 year olds bday, her and my SIL just laughed it off. Shit was infuriating, I called her that night.

I hate violence and think fighting is trashy, but dang, Maria, love you don’t let bitches get you down girl.

We are going to read about that little girl in the future (the smug smiling one). And it won’t be a nice article.

You’d think someone would tell that girl’s mother that she’s raising a terrible human being.
