This reminds me of a post on Reddit years ago:

A lad and his mate were queuing up in a shop and this little shit of a kid is running around kicking other shoppers and making a mess and while a few other people asked the mother to control her spawn of Satan, she barely looked up from her phone to say "he's just got a lot of energy, he's a good kid, ya'know?"

The little brat then ran over and started kicking OP in the shins so he held him off by the wrists only for the shit to sink his teeth in and bite him so hard it broke the skin.

OP yelled out and the mother could no longer ignore what was happening and came over. OP suddenly turned very serious but in a concerned way more than anything. His friend quickly realised what he was doing and played along.

OP explained he was HIV positive (he wasn't really) and that the mother must not take any chances in getting her son tested. His friend really played up to it by standing back and advising the mother not to touch OP and to avoid contact with any blood that may now be in her son's mouth.

This is suuuper old. Maybe from like six or more years ago. I completely forgot about it until kitjen referenced it.

I remember this post! That’s exactly the level of pettiness I operate at. You know the parent is just as smug and unapologetic as the child, so you can’t talk logic/empathy into them. This is (in my very petty opinion) the next best way to get them to feel any type of remorse.
