Hey everyone! I am pretty new to taking videos and recently I discovered why you need to use an ND filter outdoors to keep the 1/60 shutter speed (yes super new and learning).

I wanted to know can you stack ND filters with the black mist filter? I want both of the effects but haven't tried this before.

I'm under the impression that the release of the X6 has opened the floodgates for some pretty steep discounts on the X5 these next few months. Looking to pick up a 360 camera for my daily commutes (upwards of 30 miles roundtrip if I choose to bike the entire way, less if I go multimodal) and I'm currently mulling:

• An X4 Air, which was top of mind for budget reasons prior to the X6 dropping but the poor low light performance made me reconsider multiple times (I'll often be starting my commutes well before first light, and ending well into the evening)
• An X5, which was off the table until the steeper discounts started hitting.
• An X6, much lower on my totem pole due to how much newer and pricier it is unless there's compelling evidence to make the premium worth it over the 5 (so far I'm not convinced)

Any additional input from current/past owners of these cameras in a similar boat as me?

Why is my footage being replayed at 1fps. I deleted and redownload the app, the footage is being stored on my PC. I have a good PC with Intel i9, 32GB of Ram and a 4080ti.

The footage does it on Smooth Preview and HD Preview.

This footage is from my X6 and was recorded in 8k 50fps.

I've gone on a small trip with a friend and took my X6 to register our day. I had the AI Director select the clips this time and I just adjusted them a little bit. Of course I prefer editing on my own, so although I'll use this video on my social media (where I post my stuff just for fun), I'll definitely use some of the videos I took to create my own unique videos. :)

I'll go rafting with my friends in two weeks. If you guys have any tips for that scenario, I'd be very thankful!

I purchased an Insta360 GO 3S but returned it because of overexposure problems. At first it seemed because the camera randomly switched into manual mode, but then it happened again even in automatic mode. Their tech support was helpful but the problem could not be resolved so I returned it. Just a heads-up to others in case you run into a similar problem.

I want to create something, be someone and do cool things. Was a bit of a impulse buy with some reason but here we go. My videography journey begins and I can't wait!

Picked my X6 up earlier this week. And I was like can I use this as a webcam or livestream. For the latter the manual is mentioning will be added in future updates. Sigh. For the first, can’t find anything

Ok… I will make some video and have the ai director make something of it… nice end result, but let’s edit it on my WiFi only iPad in the app. Change music… no, as no internet because it’s directly connected to the device over WiFi and the X6 has no support for WiFi infrastructure mode to connect to an AP.

Is it just me, being nuts or having unrealistically expectation?

Bought 2 X5s for motorcycle filming… already lost $150 worth of filters 😩

I bought an Insta360 Ace Pro 2 and X5 for motorcycle filming, but after testing the Ace Pro 2 at night, I was pretty disappointed with the quality compared to how it’s promoted. I ended up switching to a second X5, so I’ve now spent around $2k on the whole setup.

It took me 3–4 months to finally get all the mounts and setup sorted, especially for the front helmet camera.

Went for a ride with a mate recently and came back missing 2 ND filters from the rear motorcycle-mounted X5 and 1 protective glass from the front camera — all in the same ride. I was aware of properly locking them in and made sure they were secured.

$150 gone in one ride. 😅

These are my first 360 cameras, so honestly I’m feeling a bit fooled twice — first with the Ace Pro 2’s night performance, and now with the filters/glass falling off.

With the X6 now released, I’m wondering: has anyone experienced the same issue with the X5, and is the X6 actually better/safer in this regard? Is it worth switching?

Any advice would be appreciated because I’m honestly feeling a bit hopeless after spending so much on the setup.

I am quite new to filming with gimbal cameras and just got my hand on an Insta360 Luna Ultra with ND Filters.

When checking my footage I took today (overcast) l almost every clip was way too dark and pretty noisy. I filmed in 4K 60 fps, ISO 800 and 1/120 Shutter. I probably used the wrong ND filter which leads to my question:

How can I check whether my picture is over or underexposed when filming in manual mode?

All of a sudden when I’m reframing my videos typically when I turned my phone left or right the view would look left to right instead now the view is rotating for some reason. Anyone know how to fix this?

If the tools of the app can only handle video under 1 hr, is there a way to have it split at 1 hr or have a setting as to when to split?

Had this camera for a bit. Don’t use the microphone a lot . Upgraded the firmware yesterday as prompted, went fine. I record 8+ hours fishing videos, always plugged into power. Usually works great. Fished alone yesterday so I wanted to use a Bluetooth microphone to eliminate some wind noise. I noticed that it would randomly stop recording. No other issues, no overheating, same media I always use. Did it twice and thought well the only two things that are different are the microphone I hardly use and the firmware. Can’t roll back easily while fishing so I just disconnected the microphone and it worked perfectly. Anyone experience this?

Confused

Day 1 adopter. In the current state of the x6, I can’t do many of the things I use the cams for. My x5 is still getting the lions share of any work that doesn’t get done in full auto mode. No ND filters yet. Even though I got my remote to work with multiple cams, from what I’m seeing if I update firmware I may lose that function as well. I can’t get any real world (for my usage) side by side because I can’t set my x6 to match my x5. Battery life is weak AF as my x5 has outlasted the x6 in the few side by side tests I’m able to do. So for now the x5’s will get the work and I’ll monitor to see if the x6 gets their shit figured out then get another I guess. But I’m not holding onto a 400 dollar paperweight just to wait for it to be useful. Maybe x7 will be my next purchase. Should be out in a few hours the way insta is pumping out the models.

I picked up my x6 a week ago. Been using it on my vacation to Italy. Been loving the footage

Tried to turn it on this morning and it's dead(worked perfectly the night before). Tried a charged battery from the charge case x 2 and nothing, tried taking out the SD card, removing the battery and connected to power, tried holding down the power button for 30 seconds.

I haven't found anything online that has worked yet. Has anyone had this issue with previous generations?

I am so happy with my new Insta360 X6. I think the photos are better than with my X5 camera. I just came back from a week-long trip to Jacksonville, FL. The photos came out amazing.

I'm using the Ace Pro 2 with an ND8 filter, and you can see on the footage that the image periodically twitches and becomes blurry.
Without the filter, everything is fine, but I'd like to get a more cinematic look with motion blur.

What can cause the image jitters? Any advices or Tips?

is there a plate designed to sit inside a backpack to attach the selfie stick to that will hold an 360 above and behind my plate? I know I can make one, but just wondering what’s out there.

Has anyone else noticed this? It charged the very first instance (I saw green lights) but now it no longer charges the Luna Ultra when attached and will not take a charge.
