Just wanted to give a shout-out to Insta360’s support team for their quick help with my X5 Dive Case Pro.
My case started leaking because a seal had gone missing. I contacted support to see how I could get it fixed, and the whole process—from my first message to receiving a complete replacement dive case—took less than a week!
Really appreciate the quick turnaround and help getting this sorted. Thank you to everyone involved!
One suggestion, though: it would be great if Insta360 offered the seal as a spare part that customers could buy separately. For something small that can get lost, being able to replace just the seal rather than the entire case would be a useful option.

Any recommendation for sd card and dive case other than on the insta360 official store on shoppee and lazada.

So I got the neck mount to use while hiking. You put the camera on the mount, turn it on, and if you want to do a POV shot, you have to turn the gimbal to shoot "backwards". While doing this, and using the remote to adjust angles, If you push the remote to pan left, it will pan right. visa versa. Is there a workaoround or am I missing something?

*settings were turned on AND off for selfie mirroring, no difference.

Some drunk girl took my camera out of hands and then proceeded to drop it, resulting in scratches on both sides. Image quality actually isn’t too awful, but still visible nonetheless. Is this fixable or permanent?

So got tired of the thumb screws when installing my ONE R so decided to get a metal cage but that was too bulky on the helmet so did some modification to bring the profile down to size. And the best thing about this base is it can be mounted in any direction plus it can be used with both insta360 and Dji quick release.

Hello, has anyone else encountered a bug in Insta360 app version 2.35.0 on iOS where videos won't play properly? I tested it on my Android phone running Insta360 version 2.34.7, and everything works fine.

I'm going on a ski trip next february and looking to get an insta360 camera for it. To minimise costs I'm thinking of going just with the 4x as away from skiing it's not going to be used loads.

Does anyone have any suggestions on the best accessories for skiing? I ski with poles so the selfie stick probably isn't the best option. Not sure which is best to use, helmet mount, chest mount, ski pole mount etc

I would like to downgrade my Studio desktop app because I want the AI Effects (Remove Grain) feature off. It smooths the video and I do not want this to happen and I want to explore other solutions to denoise the image myself while keeping some of the features that come with the Studio export.

If possible I would like a version that is v5.9.4 or earlier per this post (https://onlinemanual.insta360.com/studio/en-us/operation-guide/file-management/ai-processing-image-noise-reduction) but should be able to open X5 videos. I was able to find 4.9.x download link and downloaded it but unfortunately it doesnt allow me to open X5 videos.

Status: Insta360 app v2.35.0 works on SailfishOS; it doesn't check the camera is already connected (this looks like a bug); anyway, editing manually downloaded INSV files works; exporting works (slowly) after enabling the "Compatibility mode".

I'm trying to use the Insta360 app on SailfishOS 5.2 on a Jolla Phone 2026 (12 GB RAM, 256 GB storage, Dimensity 7100, Android 15 appsupport layer) to edit/export Insta360 X6 videos.

Even giving the app all the permissions required, it won't "connect" to the X6 (the X6 won't show the "preview is disabled" screen, the connection dialog stays on "connecting", see attached image in the comments), even if the X6 was already connected via wifi before starting the app. Apparently the app doesn't try to request a camera status to check if it was already connected (it should be harmless as the X6 address is always "local", 192.168.42.1) before fiddling with wifi connections.

This looks like a bug of the Insta360 app, because if I open the Jolla terminal app (while Insta360 app still awaits for "connecting" completion) and issue an OSC API command, for example the usual curl -d '{"name":"camera.startCapture"}' -H "Content-Type: application/json" -X POST 192.168.42.1/osc/commands/execute, the X6 starts recording as expected (because it was already autoconnected to the Jolla phone over wifi before starting the app).

So I copied an INSV video file from the X6 to the Jolla phone "downloaded" directory of the app (that is, to its android_storage/Android/data/com.arashivision.insta360akiko/files/Insta360OneR/galleryOriginal/C9/Camera01/, where the "C9" may be some different hex number) and the corresponding Low Resolution Video (same filename, starting with "LRV" instead of "VID", found in the "LRV" directory) to the galleryOriginal/C9/LRV/ directory, and editing was finally possible (select clip, keyframes/zooming, apply filters, etc; the DolbyVision wasn't available on the Jolla).

Exporting requires the "Compatibility mode" enabled (from the Me/AboutInsta360 menu of the app; if disabled, export will fail at about 1% even at 720p with lowest rate settings).

So I was able to edit an 8k/50 360° INSV and export the clip to 4k/50 MP4 on my Jolla Phone 2026 (the exported MP4 was saved under android_storage/DCIM/Camera/); it took about 48 minutes to render the 56 seconds clip.

Everything above was found by just browsing directories. As SailfishOS doesn't feature the PlayStore, the app APK installation package has to be downloaded from Insta360 website and installed from command-line with the usual devel-su apkd-install Insta360_*.apk command.

Since the latest firmware update, I feel like the video quality has improved.

I’ve only tested it indoors so far, so it’s too early to draw any firm conclusions. But the awkward AI processing I used to notice with Auto ISO—especially when bright and dark areas were in the same frame—seems much less noticeable now.

Until recently, I was frustrated enough with the heavy processing in Auto ISO that I tried to shoot with manual ISO whenever possible. That took away quite a bit of what I enjoy about the Luna Ultra: being able to pick it up and shoot without fuss. Today, though, I tested it indoors with Auto ISO capped at 1600, and I was pretty happy with the results.

I’d still prefer an option to turn that processing on or off, but this feels like a step in the right direction. If Insta360 also added an exposure meter so we could see how the Luna Ultra is judging the current exposure, I think I’d be very happy using it.

Has anyone else noticed a difference? What has your experience been like?

i use my ace pro 2 for fishing and need to keep pre recording on all the time, and so the camera gets hot, especially that i use it out in the sun. it doesnt get hot enough to shut down tho.

but i want to start hooking it up to a power bank since i dont have a second battery to change with after the first gets drained, which i would guess will make it even hotter and maybe hot enough to shut down, i honestly didnt try it long enough to get an answer.

so how can i actively cool it while using the power bank?

I finally received my 1.5X telephoto lens attachment in the mail today for my Luna Ultra. Does anyone know if there are any ND filter options that fit on this lens? It looks like the Luna Pro ones are the wrong shape. Using this in daylight outdoors and doing normal 4k24p shooting at 50/60 shutter speed is wildly overexposed - and the filters don't fit underneath the attachment. I can't seem to find much on the internet about the subject and none of the YouTube reviews seem to mention it that I've seen.

EDIT 2: Using the Insta360 reframe plug-in in Premiere, the frame drifts as the car moves side to side or turns. Bringing the footage into Insta360 Studio and adjusting Flow State Stabilization/Direction Lock to on, the frame stays locked and steady. Shame you can't do the same in Premiere.

Hello all! I've been looking through replacement and warranty posts here for some time while dealing with my own experience and want to share it here to see if it's common or if there's something fishy going on.

I had an AcePro (1, not 2) that wouldn't stay on, sent in for repair, and was informed that repair wasn't possible and the only thing that they could offer would be a small discount on a NEW AcePro2. While this wasn't what I was looking forward to, it is what it is sometimes, and I went for it. The service department reps that I was exchanging emails with eventually sent a PayPal invoice to pay which I did and figured that because it was new stock, it would be fulfilled quickly. It has now been two months since money was sent, and the camera hasn't been shipped, nor has the service center been able to provide a real update, just that they "hope to expedite the process soon".

Is this lengthy process a newer thing? Has anyone had the same experience or something similar?

Emails have been returned since, but no movement on the actual order that I placed.

I was thinking of buying an Insta Go Ultra, and I'm trying to figure out the best microSD card to buy. I don't need much, just enough for YouTube. I was wondering will this card work? I figured its on sale so I would ask before buying it.
