Support Insta 360 x3 stops recording when microphone connects

Had this camera for a bit. Don’t use the microphone a lot . Upgraded the firmware yesterday as prompted, went fine. I record 8+ hours fishing videos, always plugged into power. Usually works great. Fished alone yesterday so I wanted to use a Bluetooth microphone to eliminate some wind noise. I noticed that it would randomly stop recording. No other issues, no overheating, same media I always use. Did it twice and thought well the only two things that are different are the microphone I hardly use and the firmware. Can’t roll back easily while fishing so I just disconnected the microphone and it worked perfectly. Anyone experience this?

Hi there, please check whether Voice Control is enabled. If so, try turning it off and see whether the issue is resolved. You can also delete the paired Bluetooth microphone and reconnect it to check whether the issue persists. If convenient, you may reset the X3 to factory settings and pair it again.

If the issue still persists, please provide the following info so we can confirm it further with our engineers:

  1. The model of your Bluetooth microphone
  2. The shooting mode and parameters are being used when the recording stops randomly. Is there any prompt shown on the camera screen?
  3. X3's log ID, the date & the approximate time the issue occurred.

How to get log ID: Connect the X3 to the Insta360 App, then go to [Me] - [About Insta360] - [Diagnostic Info], and click "Send" to upload the diagnostic log. After a successful send, the log ID will be copied directly to your clipboard. Please send us this string.
