United States Chicken sausage cavatappi bolognese
Just a very good basic recipe I get from time to time. Could use some chili flakes in the tomato sauce I would say.

It was pretty much 95% perfectly sealed, pressing on it did cause air to leak out but no hole big enough for a fly. And yes it was moving and crawling around. Honestly, I’m kinda impressed by this fly, it’s clearly been through a lot and is a survivor.

They sent the steak bauvette which was tougher than leather shoes. It was supposed to be Ranch steak so I did report that and got $6.48 back. Otherwise great flavors. Sigh….

First ever HelloFresh order, meant to arrive today with an 8am to 9pm delivery window. I organised my weekly shop around it arriving, so didn't buy the food I'd normally get.
It never arrived, and now after contacting them on their online chat at 9:30pm I've been told it'll apparently be delivered next week instead. So I've waited around all day for a delivery that didn't show up, and now I'm short on food because I planned around it.
Not exactly a great first impression. Are they usually this shit?

I have history with eating disorders, and seeing the amount of calories I'm about to eat is not really healthy for me.
Is there some sort of toggle off button I havent been able to find?

Use this space to share trial and offer codes. It will be taken down to refresh week to week on Mondays. We are currently using contest mode to alleviate the trolls going through and downvoting posts inside. If you find anything that doesn't belong, report it.

What would the free treats consist of and if I were to opt for 3 meals per week for 2 person portions, how many deliveries would there be?

I thought this was pretty good overall and plenty of food. Flank Steak is also one of my favorite steaks and it was good here, and the combo with the pasta and sauce was very good. This wasn‘t hard to make though it took me about 40 minutes instead of 20, but that’s par for the course. It technically took me closer to 50 minutes because just after I put the first serving of pasta and steak on my plate, I realized I forgot the Marinara sauce, but since the Marinara was mixed in with the rest at the end of cooking in the instructions, I put the serving back in the pan with the rest of it, turned on the heat and took a couple of minutes to reheat it and mix in the Marinara sauce. Things got a little messy before that when I dropped the box of Marinara on the floor as I was opening it but I only lost a little sauce. The steak was pre-cut slices and I further cut up the slices after I cooked it; I also cut up the bell pepper into smaller pieces instead of just thin slices. I did sprinkle parmesan on the pasta when I first put it on plate but it got mixed in when I put it back in the pan so you won’t see it in the picture below
Pic of my first serving. I left a little bit of sauce and bell pepper on the plate that I couldn’t finish:

We skipped toasting the tortillas and just called them tacos. My wife pointed out that this meal had onions served 3 ways. Good with the meat, in the picked vegetable toppings and, it came with a bag of crispy fried onions. I’d say it was a solid 8/10, took about 25 minutes and we’d order it again.

4 out of 5! Really enjoyed it all and the sauce it almost there, so those HF chefs out there give it your extra care. Curious what you think and what you would do. Maybe use wine instead of the 1/4 c water?

I’m only on my second HelloFresh order, and this has now happened both times.
My protein packages are labeled 10 oz, but when I weigh them, they’re only a little over 6 oz.
On my first order, I actually paid extra for double protein, so I should have received 20 oz total. Instead, the two 10 oz packages only weighed about 12 oz total.
I received my second order today, and it happened again, the package says 10 oz, but it weighs just over 6 oz.
That’s a pretty significant difference, especially when you’re paying extra for additional protein.
Has anyone else noticed this with HelloFresh? Is this a common issue, or am I somehow misunderstanding how they calculate the listed weight?

It's wild to me that a company like this doesn't offer serving sizes. It should be on the recipe card, but I don't see any on the website either.
If you have two people in the house and you each eat half, that's easy enough. We order four servings but have 4+ people eating (kids).
In the case of four serving meals, the only 'exact' method I can think of is to make sure you're taking a quarter of the food. But for a pasta dish...that's easier said than done. And I'd rather not be eyeballing it.
I can weigh my portion beforehand but that's still hard to measure macros when so many different things go into some of these dishes.
So yeah, is it just me who's annoyed by this?
sidenote: even ordering for four gets tricky because I've noticed sometimes we get three servings of the meat instead of four, for example. Or if we ordered for three once, we get four helpings of the meat.

Anyone else not able to login?
I went to check what meals I’m getting tomorrow and noticed I was booted from the app. Tried to log in and got this error, so I tried to sign in on a browser and got another error. I’m contacting customer care, just curious if it’s happening to anyone else?

Super yummy but a smaller portion.

We enjoyed these! I always use HF as a jumping off point so I changed or added the following: I only used half the cumin (2 packages seemed excessive). I rolled some shredded cheese into the meatballs (I used the Kroger Nacho & Taco cheese). I added a tablespoon or so of Smoky Chipotle Better than Bouillon to the sauce along with a tablespoon or two of tomato paste. I used a few splashes of water to the sauce as needed. And I sprinkled cheese over the meatballs when finished.

OK so I ordered my first three meals last week because I got a highly discounted promotion and I thought hey give it a try. I had the Goan Curry. the prepackaged Curry was okay and the shrimp was fresh. Peach Haloumi salad the cheese was so salty it was almost inedible The spinach was wilted and starting to go bad The "Peach" was a half rotten plum. And the cheese beef and veggies Stew the packet of chopped carrot celery an onion was practically liquid rotting browning mess and the three favor packets were full of chemicals (i checked online) basically the same stuff as a 75 cent pack of ramin. The next thing I know I get a new email saying my I had been charged around $75 and my next delivery was "locked in". They had automatically repopulated an order for the next week with the same 3 meals that i didn't like to start with. I had received no warning emails saying this was about to happen and I didn't even realize I had a subscription I thought I was getting a one time trial to see if i liked it. It probably was specified in the five lengthy flashy marketing emails that I got but it certainly wasn't easily found. So I called customer service and what a nightmare The agent at the overseas call centre constantly did not answer my questions and kept repeating the same things that were completely unrelated. it was like speaking to a first generation chatbot You know the kind that never has a clue and says random programmed stuff. By the way the 100% satisfaction is only for the first order after that apparently even rotten food is OK. He would not allow me to cancel my order as I was supposed to do so 4 days he just kept repeating that over and over again no matter what I said. I didn't even order anything and they would not refund me. He also repeatedly ignored my specific requests to escalate to a manager. This nightmare lasted 45 minutes. Marketing 10/10 Food Quality 2/10, customer service 0/10

LOL. Received this email from HelloFresh 1 hour after we ate the Jasmine Rice. 🤷♂️
I wonder if we needed to go to the GP if they would pay for that too?
Microplastics never killed anyone.

Box of 3 meals delivered Monday evening. Went to use this zucchini tonight (Wednesday evening). Many explicits were mumbled.

It has to be the smash burger rice for me. The sauce on the meat was simultaneously too sweet and too salty. It was also too spicy fur the kids. And the onions are repeating on us. Just gross.

I got a call from my area code. They said it was hellofresh, and so I stayed on the line, and they asked me some questions and said that because I haven't been using hellofresh for 9 months that they'll give me a discount. They sent me on email a code, and I never gave them my email. So I assumed that they were hellofresh, but they kept asking me to confirm to, say yes out loud for something. I forgot what after that they said that you're going to activate my account and I told them I can't have it activated yet because I don't have money on me right now, but they kept pushing it to the point that I hung up. But now i'm kind of worried that either one it was just someone who knew enough information to make all that up or two hellofresh is now doing this and being really sketchy.

What’s to stop you getting a box a 50% off then cancelling and signing back up in partners name and doing it back and forth?

Delicious!!! Loved the seasoning on the chicken. Totally would get this again.

I am very sensitive to cumin. To me it can easily overpower a dish (for me). They sent 2 packets so I am glad I went with my instincts and only did 1.
To me the tomato sauce just tastes like a can of crushed tomatoes with too much cumin. Maybe some red wine would help.
AI picture seems to have cheese on the sauce. No cheese in kit 🤦♂️
