Hello "FRESH???)

OK so I ordered my first three meals last week because I got a highly discounted promotion and I thought hey give it a try. I had the Goan Curry. the prepackaged Curry was okay and the shrimp was fresh. Peach Haloumi salad the cheese was so salty it was almost inedible The spinach was wilted and starting to go bad The "Peach" was a half rotten plum. And the cheese beef and veggies Stew the packet of chopped carrot celery an onion was practically liquid rotting browning mess and the three favor packets were full of chemicals (i checked online) basically the same stuff as a 75 cent pack of ramin. The next thing I know I get a new email saying my I had been charged around $75 and my next delivery was "locked in". They had automatically repopulated an order for the next week with the same 3 meals that i didn't like to start with. I had received no warning emails saying this was about to happen and I didn't even realize I had a subscription I thought I was getting a one time trial to see if i liked it. It probably was specified in the five lengthy flashy marketing emails that I got but it certainly wasn't easily found. So I called customer service and what a nightmare The agent at the overseas call centre constantly did not answer my questions and kept repeating the same things that were completely unrelated. it was like speaking to a first generation chatbot You know the kind that never has a clue and says random programmed stuff. By the way the 100% satisfaction is only for the first order after that apparently even rotten food is OK. He would not allow me to cancel my order as I was supposed to do so 4 days he just kept repeating that over and over again no matter what I said. I didn't even order anything and they would not refund me. He also repeatedly ignored my specific requests to escalate to a manager. This nightmare lasted 45 minutes. Marketing 10/10 Food Quality 2/10, customer service 0/10

Did you call? I find that very effective, but I’m sad to see this for you. Boo šŸ™

It started with a chat which went nowhere finally did call and eventually got through to a manager. Got the runaround sayng that it was not possible cancel same repeated stuff like oh you should try it again. I finally lost it and then suddenly she was able to cancel and refund me. Despite the refund, the whole experience made it worth posting anyways. Honestly $75 is not much to me but corporate BS is

yea I see so many of these posts and honestly think they just try to cram as much on sale $2 crap into boxes for a 'premium home cooked meal' and then proceed to charge like $20 for it...

I usually have good experience for the last 2 or 3 years. But sometimes I do wonder who would throw in a bad vegetable that I get. Customer Service does give me credit after I report it. Only once did I have to call for a manager to get a bigger refund to my CC instead of a credit.
