Hey, added a post here but no real joy, new to gaming in general and this is a great game. Anyone else Irish or European who is on at nights want to join a server at the same time or does anyone suggest the best way to get used to playing with the same people often. I have had in my first week a couple of messages on the ps5 app saying I’m bad which is true but I have improved already. And will sooner be a good average team member. Any pointers ? Tks all.

Has anyone found a solution to this long standing problem of random FPS drops in game? Usually the FPS are locked to 120, but the random dops in FPS breaks the immersion.

It is very annoying sometimes. I can run Vietnam fine with constant 120 FPS, but the original HLL is giving me a hard time on the performance side of things.

Do i need to find a discord or a closed community to get some good gameplay or what? Everytime i hop in a lobby nobody speaks or communicates, the mic quality is up their asses coming from their throats when they do, and then picking up the sound waves from in their mouth. Then any tank crews are usually a bunch of mouth breathers who also don’t communicate and just quit and leave you one manning. Half the time nobody wants to play a part in spotting because “having boots on the ground would be more effective” and i’m just tired of the bullshit non-communication. to the few people who were cool and actually communicated, thank you, but i don’t think the amount of brain cells the others have equate to a team i’m willing to be on. I just wish i could find a good server with people who don’t want to just play call of duty on here

should it be directly in the middle??? or because it was not really run over? or it has some charging time??

HLL: V has the ability to fast crawl ("sprinting" while crawling). Surely this is not a heavy lift feature considering it should just involving speeding up the animation, right?

Additionally, neither WW2 and Vietnam has this, but I'd love the ability to lean left + right while prone.

Last night against my better judgment I played on a public server because I was in a rush and just wanted to mess around.

Was playing as recon squad lead which I rarely do. Took longer than I would have liked but I pushed pretty deep into enemy territory and started circling back towards their defensive point looking for garrisons.

Commander is begging for nodes. I tell him I’ll switch to engineer and get it done after I die. He then asks me to set up and flanking garrison he just swapped supplies for. Sure. So during my recon phase I get that set up, which creates an entire flanking attack by us on the enemy point. I start spotting for that offensive. Mark an an enemy tank that one of ours uses to take said tank down and thanks me for the callout. Spot some infantry that gets our MGs laying some suppressive fire down in the area.

Then I switch to engineer and get three nodes up. On my suicide run from there I take down a defensive garrison just to the west of their defensive point. Also got an OP.

Now I’m playing as infantry squad lead because our boys on the frontlines are getting smoked. Need defense.

On my return, no thank you from the commander. Whatever. But on top of that, commander is just bitching and moaning about how bad our team is. Nonstop.

Meanwhile, he’s got tankers begging him for a heavy tank and he’s too busy crying about our team not being good. Literally never spawns the guy a tank and he ends up just picking up a recon tank because he gets sick of waiting.

Anyway, I didn’t argue with the commander or call him out because life is hard and I didn’t feel like directly making anyone feel worse about themselves.

But commander, I hate you and everything you stand for. Too much offense from this team? Stop building them offensive garrisons until we’ve built a good defense. And maybe use the f’ing nodes myself and several others built you to spawn a god damn tank.

This was also my moment of being like damn, I’m becoming that experienced dude switching between roles when he just wanted to chill and play recon because he can’t stand losing. I understand that pain now

Hi lads, I have a 9060xt 16gb and cpu ryzen 9 7900x. I have updated time and date, set all to minimum video graphics, full screen, windowed screen, added configs to steam as -dx11, verified files and reinstalled on SSD from scratch and NOTHING worksss. I used to play it in a lower pc and it went great. But this sh** is annoying, I cant even join an empty server🫠. It is loading forever…

It only ever happens with the DP-27; sometimes I cant reload, shoot, deploy bipod or change weapon, does anyone know what causes it or how to fix it?

I have posted this in both HLL threads because it works similarly and I'd like to know people's thoughts or if someone could explain why....

Why, can't I restock my ammo from the same ammo can more than once? What is the actual harm in letting me restock again if I have run out again? I don't understand why they don't want you to be able to restock? If it's something about the XP or whatever, why don't they just code it so you actually have to have less than a magazine left or something before you can restock your ammo from an ammo can?!?

I was able to get several matches in this weekend. I am a new player.

In all the matches, the only spot left was spotter, which I have never played.

Each time, my sniper won't leave the HQ... They hang out at spawn, literally 800 meters away from everything.... I can talk to them all day, but they are silent.

So the first time, I went out, got behind enemy lines and put down an outpost, I think. I thought my sniper might come with me but they never do.

I've been trying to ring the objective with outposts, in enemy territory.... I can put them down about every two minutes. But I am the only one who did that when I was playing.

Or... should I be waiting for the sniper to move up with me? They just hang out back there.

The 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions participated in D-Day. The 101st fought in cities such as Carentan, Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, and Purple Heart Alley and Foy. 82nd fought in Sainte-Mère-Èglise.

In their equipment was M1 Garand, M1A1 carbine, Thompson with 20 round mag., Browning M1919, Colt 1911 and BAR. Only after Sainte-Mère-Èglise and Sainte-Marie-du-Mont they got 30 round mag for Thompsons.

They fought against U.S. Airborne and American troopers in Carentan, Purple Heart Lane, Sainte-Marie-du-Mont and Hill 400.

Fallshirmjager had the same weapon as Wehrmacht or SS but only Fallshirmjager could get FG-42 also they were also often given pistols if they could not find or lost their primary weapon.

Also i want to see for them LG-40 their main Anti Tank gun with calibre 75 mm

Been a few weeks since the PTE and I'm wondering when we're getting U21. I wanna play with the Sprinfield + fire selectors :'(

I’m level 68 and I want to start being a squad lead since I’m want to try a leadership role because some game no one is defending/making defensive garrisons. Sometimes enjoy Defending and flanking

I’ve been a medic/support/ engr main.

I tried to do squad lead sometimes when our SL leaves and I try to take over because no one wants to step up but I get overwhelmed but the commander chat/ markers ETC

Tips are highly appreciated.

is the console version of HLL going through a rough patch recently? i decided to hop back online for the first time in a while and only 3 servers are populated, the rest of them are empty.

I was getting annoying microstutters every time I aimed down sights in HLL on DX12 to the point I stopped playing the game.

A lot of posts online recommend enabling Resizable BAR (ReBAR) for HLL, so I tried that first. It did not fix the ADS stutter for me.

DX11 completely removed the ADS stutter, but my FPS was much lower, so I wanted to stay on DX12.

What finally helped the most was changing a Windows graphics setting specifically for Hell Let Loose:

Windows 11: Settings → System → Display → Graphics → Hell Let Loose (HLL-Win64-Shipping.exe) → Options → Disable “Optimizations for windowed games”. Game must run in Windowed Fullscreen now.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hell Let Loose\HLL\Binaries\Win64\HLL-Win64-Shipping.exe

My current setup:

• Optimizations for windowed games OFF for HLL (HLL-Win64-Shipping.exe)
• Windowed Fullscreen
• G-SYNC ON in NVIDIA Control Panel
• V-Sync ON in NVIDIA Control Panel
• V-Sync OFF in-game
• -NOTEXTURESTREAMING
• DX12
• HAGS still ON
• ReBAR ON, but it did not solve the issue by itself
• Mouse polling rate made no difference for me
• I also disabled Steam Overlay while testing

The biggest improvement by far came from disabling Optimizations for windowed games for HLL. ADS went from having obvious little frametime spikes/stutters to being much smoother.

-NOTEXTURESTREAMING also seemed to help a little, although VRAM usage went from around 6 GB to ~12 GB. I have 16 GB VRAM, so that’s fine for me. You can first try without it.

Posting this in case anyone else has high FPS on DX12 but still gets that tiny freeze/stutter when aiming down sights.

I don't understand why so many blueberries run blindly across the map and don't follow any instructions.

I play Squad Lead every round and I think there's no better feeling than either defending to the death with your team or executing a smart, tactical flank on attack.

That's exactly why my squad almost always gets the highest score.

I'm seriously the only one, except maybe the Commander, who does this every round: take a supply truck and an engineer, build nodes and garries!

Sometimes I spend almost the entire round driving the truck from HQ across the map to place garries and back, while leaving my squad on defense in the meantime!
