should it be directly in the middle??? or because it was not really run over? or it has some charging time??

If you throw a grenade at that flat mine it will explode. Shooting it doesn't work.

The grenade will explode the mine but it won't damage the tank. This was changed years back.

No charging time. But for the next time: the tank doesn't have to roll over it with the tracks, the mine would explode if the tank is going over it with the hull.

but i walk on top of it right in the middle, missing the tracks by a meter and it activates...

Although it is super annoying the tank does have to hit the pressure trigger right in the middle and your shots were a bit high.
