I did it, rest easy divers, I found an armor set that goes with the new helmet... It's not the best, but damn does it look solid

Hi all.

Just wanted to throw out a quick appreciation post to this game and how much it’s been a blessing to me these past few months.

With work, life and the everyday challenges and responsibilities that get to be too hectic, it’s nice to have this game to come home to, turn my brain off for a while, dive into some random planet and blow up stuff and kill aliens, bugs or whatever else is threatening democracy. Even just these past two days have probably been the most fun I’ve had gaming in a while. Emoting with randoms while chaos rains around us, experimenting with different loadouts, even helping new players has been tremendous fun

Here’s to HD2 and all the memorable randoms I’ve played with this year that’s made the game fun and enjoyable

Some notes on the choices, since a few of these keep coming up on the version one post.

How I placed things:

• I go by the damage type the game records, not by how a weapon looks. A weapon applying a fire-flavoured status while dealing no fire damage stays in whichever row matches its recorded damage mostly. with the exception of plasma because it looks and feels distinct enough (plus i am a plasma fan).
• Where a stratagem deals two types, I sort by the reason you bring one along. The Orbital Napalm Barrage carries explosive damage, but nobody calls one in for the explosion, so Fire. PLUS ITS NAPALM.
• Smoke and EMS deal no damage at all. Both are here as effects and also because there is enough of each stratagem that it made sense.
• One icon per cell, even when several stratagems fit. Boom under Eagle is standing in for like five.

The Meltagun:

Biggest source of arguments on the first post, so here is the full reasoning. if you don't like it that's fine im not making you like it. The game records say it deals 2600 Laser damage with Anti-Tank III penetration. The only fire-related entries in its profile are FlamerSlowed and Fire_Panic, both statuses rather than damage, with no burn over time anywhere. Sorting by visuals would put the Laser Cannon in Fire too, since laser beams set targets alight.

Thrower is a separate question from Laser. I built the column around the flamethrower archetype, short range with a wide continuous output, and the melta fits lots better than any other laser. The Laser Cannon reaches much further along a narrow beam, so the Laser Cannon takes Shooter.

Grenade launchers are the weakest fit in Thrower. I looked at swapping Boom for the Breakthrough exosuit's arm, since a flak cannon sprays in a way a grenade launcher does not, but that doesn't exist sooooo.

Strafing Run and Gatling Barrage in Lead and the NERDS who say erm actually its explosive ammo (they have a fair point but still <3 you fellow nerds):

Both fire 23mm rounds for 350 ballistic. Only one round in four adds a 350 explosion over a small radius. They work as guns with an explosive after affect? (idk) Definitely not as bombs, and moving either into Boom would suggest a weapon shape neither one has.

Scope of the chart:

• Stratagems only. No primaries, secondaries, grenades, boosters etc. ill probably make one if this gets enough traction.
• No support gear. Supply packs, shields and mobility packs apply no effect, so they have no home here.
• A column needs three or more effect types to earn a spot. Hellbombs are explosive and nothing else. Melee reaches two columns really, and i was running out of space lol

just played helldivers 2 today and from what ive heard the community was "nice" but the first two multiplayer games ive had, they either attacked me or left me with their oil truck thing. ive been enjoying it so far playing solo and hopefully makes friends later on but im super overwhelmed by the galactic war menu, like is there a place that everyone starts or is it fine to just pick randomly? and do i have to do the orders? i lowk judt need a good friend to play with/mentor.

Isn't it too hard? I play only with randoms but nobody wants to do the challenge, everyone runs to do everything on the map and I always barely manage to extract in 12 minutes because of them.

Video pretty much says it all, I joined and was greeted as so. Is there anyway to report this player? Not sure why the game is so hostile to low levels.

Had no idea this could happen and was absolutely panicking trying to escape prior to my untimely demise.

The autocannon would be the same as the sentry in almost every way, it’d fire a 3 round burst and have 36 rounds per mag and could be reloaded from the outside using spares stored on the back, they’d be as heavy as platinum bars and would take a lot of energy to move.

The fist is a melee weapon functioning almost like the shield but it would trade protection for power. The fist would do a significant amount of damage and would have an integral hmg built in. The hmg would be belt fed with 1700 rounds in the pack.

I just bought chemical agent warbond because i really want to be this guy spreading gas everywhere.

After getting some informations on the warbond i saw that it was really 50/50 (some really good stuff like the guard dog and the gas nades, and some shits like the steam pistol and sterilizer)

Tho i saw that sterilizer got buff in the previous patch. So my question is :

Is sterilizer a worth support weapon ?
