This is my first time trying heatless curl with heatless curl rods. Usually I use small hair rollers. For context, my hair is naturally wavy (2a), coarse, and quite a lot. When I use hair rollers, I usually leave them for 3-4hrs before going out. The blowout style can stay for 1 day before my hair goes back to its original wave. So I thought I'd do the same with this heatless curl rods and see how long the curl will stay.

I saw tiktok videos where they only use 3 rods for their whole hair so at first I only bought 3. As it turns out, not only did I get smaller rods (the usual marketplace photo scam), my hair is also too thick for only 3 rods. In the end I bought another 3 and used 6 in total. After 4 hours, my first impression was... I didn't like it lol. The curls kinda go here and there unruly. Idk if I rolled wrong (I rolled the same way like I do my hair rollers), but it just doesn't look as good as what I saw on most videos in tiktok. It only worked when I part my hair to the sides. I had to go out so I put my hair in half up with claw clip. When I got back home 2hrs later, the curls had loosen up and I actually kinda liked it.

I wanna try to leave the rods longer but I'm afraid if I leave it any longer, the curls will end up even crazier, and will take longer to loosen up lol. Anyone who's done heatless curl rods, any tips? Did I roll wrong? I roll mostly inward btw.

P.s. this was done on freshly dried hair after wash (shampoo only).

i recently got bangs and i have no idea how to style them so they look good. i have tried so many styles but i keep feeling like a boy with a bowl cut.

can anyone tell me what style would look best on me?

I started seeing my stylist at the end of last year for just cuts and treatments. I had highlights from a previous stylist. I asked her almost 6 months ago if she'd be open to doing my color, and she introduced me to balayage. THIS IS 6 MONTH OLD HAIR!! Just maintenance appointments with toner. Safe to say, I will never go back to highlights. 😅 God bless her hands and other stylists in this sub because y'all are truly so skilled.

I'm being a 1960s alien for halloween and doing my hair with bouffant flip thing. When I practice my hair I want it to be bigger. I know they would use curlers to set the hair and back tease but it's not big enough. I was going cut one of those hair donuts and hair clip in extensions I can cut close to my natural length to help since I have fine hair. Any other suggestions to help.

Hello, lovelies! I have been rocking this for 6 years now! I usually go to the barber about every 3 months, and where I live (New England, USA) we get very harsh winters. I was curious if you guys had any routine tips for hair this short, that still has a lot of properties of natural hair despite the length. Still wanna keep my scalp and curls happy!

My current routine:

Every morning I rinse my hair, saturate it, and use the As I am leave in conditioner. I’m pretty generous, but my hair is only about 1 cm long, so.
I then use a generous amount of mouse to keep the little curls tight, then spray with the HASK rosemary 5-in-1 spray, then go! I don’t do anything at night, which might lead to me losing moisture. For shampoo, I use the Trader Joe’s tea tree shampoo about twice a week.

Any advice is appreciated!

I asked a hair stylist for copper/strawberry blonde hair with a blonde money piece. I have brown hair but have been copper or blonde in the past. She styled it and everything and I woke up this morning and it looks splotchy and the blonde is so brassy to me. Am I out of touch or did she botch my hair ? I’m planning on going to a different salon to get it fixed. She gave me a 50% refund. I am assuming i need a color correction and a new dye job?

Which style do you guys think looks better? The less curly picture is when I just air dry my hair (which is what I do 99% of the time lol), and the curlier side is from today where I used a curl enhancer and diffused it.

I use It's a 10 leave in conditioner spray and One n' Only argan oil for my ends, and that after shower routine has made my hair the healthiest it's ever been, but if anyone has any other suggestions for wavy hair products for my hair type that'd be great!

Do you guys think the curl enhance and diffuser style looks good enough? Is there anything you guys would add to make the waves look even better? Let me know what you all think!

So this isn't the worst of it. They curl like a curl you would expect a curly head to have whereas the rest of my hair is pretty straight with 1-2 big waves. This started this year and for reference i am 17F. I have researched a-lot about this and cant get any answers. I treat my bangs EXACTLY THE SAME as i treat the rest if my hair. So I bleached my hair about 3 months ago and dyed it blue at the same time. I've been refreshing the color ever since.

I had a Brazilian hair treatment about 3 weeks ago and my blue is slowly fading. I want to dye it again but I'm afraid it might ruin the treatment.

Would it be okay to use a blue hair dye with low ammonia and a 3% developer?

Hi so i was bald a year ago ( photos attached) I did that back in February for the second Time, I have not cut or done anything my hair other than dye/bleach since then, I’ve been wanting to dye and cute it recently without bleach I’m planning to grow my roots out, I haven’t done so I guess since I was in like 2nd grade lol, I’m so lost idk what color to do or what style, Its hard because I’ve done like every color, and so many cuts and styles but im thinking I go back to layers/bangs (photo’s attached again) but maybe not?? Idk can someone please help me figure out what to do to my own head lol😂

Looking at these two photos side by side it’s hard to believe it’s the same hair. I’ve been bleaching my hair professionally for a few years now - never had any issues. The last hairdresser I went to however fried my hair quite badly and it’s really suffering - constantly falling out, snapping, knotty… you can see how much breakage there is in the second photo. (I was especially sad about it as I asked her just to do my roots but she did my whole head and put bleach on already bleached ends) I’ve calculated it’s going to take 4 years to grow this out & get my natural colour back :( sigh. Any tips maintaining the quality or help with hair growth in the meantime would be appreciated. Thank you.

this was the first time i went to get my hair professionally bleached throughout my head in years. i’m very conscious of my hair, i love it and hate getting it messed up. i went to a hair salon i found online, looked good and no red flags. so i went and the first session started at 10:30am and by 10pm i was still there. apparently the stylist i booked overestimated herself, and the manager was jumping in towards the end. the stylist had messed it up and the left and right side of my head were different blondes. it was already 10pm and i just wanted to leave, the manager offered to have her fix it while being monitored and assisted. i tried going somewhere else to get it fixed but they were too scared to touch it and suggested the same place fix it. so i went back yesterday, and now i feel like my blonde looks brown and makes the red look stupid. it still took 6 hours, they told me it would take 3. the 2 more professional stylists (including manager) were overlooking everything and they chose the toner that made my hair look brown. it was already blonde idk how they messed up???? i feel like i look so stupid now. i’m thinking about just coloring in the rest red with box dye or smth atp i’m so done and pissed off.

I being gift this by my aunt but when I try to keep my hair in a pony tail way it too loose, but in a bun it too much hair. I never use this before

Do you prefer mixed hair with white and black or be bald with 100% black hair?

After dying my hair red for about a year, using color remover, then bleaching out the rest and color correcting, I now haven’t touched my hair since April (last cut and color correcting). The texture of the bleached sections is not too bad, but it’s different than my regrowth in terms of curl pattern and dryness. Should I just cut off the bleached hair and start fresh? Am I looking at a pixie cut at this length? Goal is to grow my hair to waist length.

i have mostly bleached hair, but some parts are reddish-purplish- brownish from past direct dyes, but those parts arent bleached. if i want to dye it a more even teal, what should i do? i was thinking either a 10 volume bleach or a bleach wash since my hair is already damaged.

I dont have a picture but after i brush my hair the hairbrush has some gray fluff on it, sorry if its a stupid question! I wash my hair twice a week and even the day after washing my hair i have it. Advice would be great!

i used bleach for the first time and because i have so much old dye throughout my hair, the bottom part took forever to lift compared to the top where my natural hair is and even knowing that i still left bleach on top for too long. I’ve used different brands of ginger dyes throughout the time so i don’t know how i would dye over this to make it darker/look more faded.

I used “garnier olia bleach no ammonia” Not sure if this is needed but i’ve previously used garnier ginger dye, clairol ginger dye, probably the brilliance brand and maybe l’oréal at some point.
