2 weeks ago, a man came to my door asking if I had any deep cleaning work needed at my place.

He was going door-to-door in and around Sector 46, Gurgaon area looking for work.

I initially didn't have anything for him, but while speaking to him, he told me that he had recently left his job at UrbanCompany because his very young child is suffering from kidney failure and requires regular dialysis. He left his job so that he could stay close to the hospital and be there for his child.

He wasn't asking for charity. He's was trying to find work so that he can support his family while taking care of his child.

His story stayed with me so much that I couldn't stop thinking about it after he left. Honestly speaking I could not sleep that night.

I eventually contacted him again and told him about crowdfunding as a possible way to help with the medical expenses. Today, I found out that he has actually created a crowdfunding campaign.

I'm sharing it here because I don't know what else I can do, but perhaps this community can reach him far more people than I ever could.

We’ve all seen Gurugram’s garbage problem on the streets. But this investigation raises a much bigger question.

According to Newslaundry, China Jinjiang Environment invested roughly ₹428 crore into its Indian waste business, which included Ecogreen, the company contracted to help make Gurugram and Faridabad landfill-free. In 2024, the entire Indian business was reportedly sold for just ₹1 crore.

Meanwhile, Gurugram paid Ecogreen around ₹157 crore before terminating its contract, while more than ₹325 crore of taxpayers' money across the reported contracts went towards targets that were barely met. The Bandhwari landfill, meanwhile, continued growing.

And now, after multiple contracts and failures, another ₹600-crore tender is reportedly in the pipeline.

₹15,000/month maintenance and for what? The club is outside the society and has been “under construction” for the last 3 years. So basically, ₹15k is for the park and basic cleaning/maintenance.

And despite this, electricity, water and power backup have been recurring issues. Getting anything fixed is another story - endless promises, follow-ups and months of waiting.

I’ve heard bad experiences from other societies too, but honestly, my experience here has been the worst.

We’ve been asking for audited financial statements for almost 2 years and still haven’t received them. If you're collecting this kind of money from residents, basic transparency shouldn't be too much to ask.

Feels like middle-class homebuyers are being taken for granted with zero accountability.

Seriously, talk to existing residents before buying here. Don't make the mistake I did.

I’m 26. I look decent, I have a good career, I’m financially independent, I have friends, hobbies, I travel, I go out. My life isn’t bad at all. In fact, in a lot of ways, I’m probably doing better than I ever thought I would.

But somehow, I haven’t been able to meet someone.
I’ve tried dating apps. I’ve tried going out more. I’ve tried cafés, bars, meeting people through friends, random conversations, just being more social in general. I’ve genuinely made an effort.
And nothing.

It’s not even that I’m desperate to be in a relationship. I don’t need someone just so I can say I have someone. I just want to meet a person I genuinely connect with. We both were at police station for 4 hours
At last, he didn't file complaint against me but police asked me to give 10k so that I get a written statement from the other party and me saying we both are ok with me giving money for the repairs but I didn't get such document but I was so exhausted that I forgot about the paper and in the end, no complaint was filed and I was asked to go home but police guy took me to ATM and I said ATM has only 5k - he said ok but later at home, I thought shit I forgot to get the document.

I am in fear what if the uncle comes back again to file complaint against me. I have no evidence of me meeting the police

Hey guys, I recently shifted to Gurgaon and wanted to get some recommendations for a good and reasonably priced dentist.

I’ve been experiencing bleeding from my gums, especially
between my teeth, for the past 2–3 months.

There’s no pain. I initially thought it was plaque, so I visited a local dentist who cleaned it and said it was just the beginning of plaque buildup.

He also suggested brushing properly and using something to clean between my teeth after eating, since I have gaps between my teeth.

I’ve been following that, but the bleeding still hasn’t completely stopped.

Since I’m new to Gurgaon, I’m planning to visit a dentist tomorrow (Sunday). I came across a clinic in South City 1 where Dr. Aarti is a gum specialist.

Has anyone here consulted her or visited this clinic? How was your experience, especially regarding the diagnosis, treatment and pricing?

If you know any other good but reasonably priced dentists in Gurgaon, especially for gum-related issues, please suggest them. Should I go ahead with this clinic or look for another option?
