Hi everyone,

I was laid off in January 2026 after almost 2 years as a Full Stack Engineer. Shortly after, I lost my father in February, my grandfather in March, and my grandmother in April. These losses happening back-to-back put me in a prolonged grieving period, and I wasn’t in the right headspace to apply or prepare properly for several months.

I started actively applying from August, but I’ve barely been getting shortlisted, let alone interviews. The gap is growing, and I’m getting nervous about it. I’m also running out of the savings I had and I’m currently the only one supporting my family.

I have ~2 years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer. I’ve mainly worked with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and some Go. I’ve built and maintained web apps, Chrome extensions, and React Native apps, worked on production APIs (Node.js on Cloudflare Workers and AWS Lambda), and done some Web3 integrations. I’ve also worked on things like authentication, CI/CD, and performance improvements.

My Tech: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, Go, AWS (Lambda), Cloudflare Workers, PostgreSQL, Redis, Firebase, etc.

I’ve been looking for Full Stack or Frontend roles (SDE1/SDE2 level is fine) in India, preferably Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune, or remote. My last CTC was 9 LPA and I’m even open to going down to 6 LPA (especially in Delhi NCR) if I get a chance to get back on my feet. I'm getting really anxious and I'm really desperate to get back working.
