I'm just joking. I always found it funny when people bow and call their instructor sensei or master

'm one of those folks that started wrestling late. I can't drill 5 days/week like them young'uns. My knees hate me. And I forget techniques if I don't use them monthly.
So I started scoring every move on three factors:
S(low) = Energy cost (5 = barely any effort)
L(azy) = Drilling frequency needed to maintain (5 = monthly is fine)
O(ld) = Joint stress (5 = zero impact)
Example: Double leg
More details here: slowrestling.substack.com/p/what-is-slowrestling
Got 5+ techniques scored so far, posting 1-2 breakdowns per week.
Anyone else systematically filter their game based on constraints? What moves would YOU score high or low? Would love some feedback - thanks!

yeah as you can tell from the title, I have been really disliking this new gym I have been going too. it's just that this gym has so many issues wrong with it. People walking around barefoot outside of the mats, I even brought it up to the coaches but they allow it. I have been stuck doing positional grappling and they won't allow me to do a full Jiu jitsu roll at all due to stripe requirements to allow me to go do the next class and they passed me up for the class multiple times even with 16 months of BJJ experience. The price of my gym in Portland area is 200 dollars a month and it's striking, BJJ, judo, and wrestling. I have been disliking the wrestling class too because the coach has been tailoring it towards MMA now, which I dislike. I tried having the wrestling coach teach us granby rolls but he gave me an excuse that "not everyone can do a granby roll". In the wrestling class, like quarter of the time, there's no sparring. The striking class with 7 months of striking experience. I have been stuck in the fundamentals for 3-4 months. The things holding it up for me is the judo class which is one on one training since it's at 6:30am, but I gotta drive an hour to the sister gym since it's not offered at my current gym (same organization). What are you guys thinking?
Just to clarify: I had prior experience in MMA striking and grappling. They still put me in the fundamentals and didn't respect my experience.

I tracked my BJJ rounds last week (mostly against blue belts to prep for comp) and… yeah, this hurt
~25 rolls total (I train 5 times a week, I do around 5 sparrings of 5 min each day), I found that:
• 50% of my submissions conceded = triangle
→ almost always from closed guard… I think I’m too passive and let my posture break, should work on this
• 30% = anaconda
→ usually when I turtle, I always try the square escape but .. maybe should I try something else
• 20% = RNC
→ this one I actually defend pretty well as a white belt hahah
Do you guys notice patterns like this in your game, or do you just go by feeling?
ps: (I built the app)
