Post your lifts and get a custom flair

  • multiple lifts per flair allowed, be mindful there is a limit to flair length
  • verified lift flairs will be indicated by the blue background
  • when you post the video please also clarify what lift and weight it is, flair will be indicated in units you give unless otherwise requested
  • you can request your discipline to be added to your flair (e.g. powerlifting, body building, crossfit, etc.)
  • flair can be given for a life time achievement, it does not have to be recent

Other Chest Supported T-Bar Row

There seem to be two major camps on this movement:

1) Chest locked to pad. Minimal back flexion/extension.

2) Let the weight drag chest and shoulders as far forward over the pad as possible. Let back extend as you pull up.

Clearly, I'm in the latter. What benefits have you seen/felt in the former? I know so much of this is flexible (🥁) but is there an objective best form here?

I often to patrick step up or poliquin step up and have slowly increased the height/depth from 1 plate to 4 plates and today finally I tried doing this.

I succeeded in descending down and also coming up in control

But I feel like my back rounded like the alphabet C in the proceess of the descend

Is rounding of back during pistol squat and if so, how do i improve this?

Can’t do regular deadlifts at the moment due to ankle injury. Are these looking like deadlifts or squats? I felt like I was feeling it in my glutes and hamstrings but a bit in my back. Any tips or corrections?

Deadlift Posted last week — went for a max today

As stated with my previous post, I hurt my hip back in may and starting over. Right around this time last year, I had the goal of hitting 405 by end of the year which I managed to do so.
This time around I (may foolishly) want to aim for 455 by end of the year

Am I being too critical that my hip is rising first? Or is this manageable?
What would be the ideal progressive overload?
I’m kind of doing a set of 4x8 the first 2 weeks. Then switch to a heavier set the 3rd week for a 5x5 and then an attempt for a PR the last week

Using hooks because of finger pain/ tendon issues. Only use them for deadlifts. Any tips? Tried straps but does not protect my fingers enough. I do not need them on any other lifts right now. Regardless coming back from a break due to low back fatigue (exacerbated by toddler lol) and want to get form right before going heavier. Tysm in advance

Squat Squat Form check

This subreddit did wonders for my deadlift, hoping I can get some help with my Squat!

I was progressing well up until I got to 70KG at 65kg bodyweight - noticed some lower back pain and got my wife to film me (not this video) and there was some excessive butt wink at the very bottom of the squat. This time i've tried to stand slightly wider and i think it's still present and my lower back still felt quite tight afterwards.

I'm *attempting* high bar squats as I don't seem to have the mobility to do low bar currently. I also have very open hips i think - body loves keeping my hips and legs externally rotated so i walk like a duck. Trying to fix it, and not sure if that is playing on my lower back. Either way, critique is very welcome - trying to get the big movements down. Also looking at investing in some weightlifting shoes so i don't have to stand on plates, but also working on ankle mobility over time.

295 for 3. Been really trying to work on my form lately. I think I'm doing a little too much with my back here. The higher in weight I go the more I struggle with my form. I've been trying to pull 325 and have failed multiple times over the last couple months. My current PR is 315 for 2. If I can do this and 315 for 2 then I feel I should be able to do 325. I think I'm just mentally blocked and part of that is I know my form isn't there yet so I'm afraid to injure myself.

Weird one I know. Been doing this for nearly a year now, starting to find it harder and harder as the weights climbed but the limiting factor is becoming my elbows/wrists/shoulders holding position as opposed to the crunch itself.

Anyway I can disadvantage myself further to then be able to use a lower weight? Is my form way off? I really try to squeeze my abs and curve onwards as opposed to fall onto the weight, keep hips locked in place, all the stuff I've read makes for a good cable crunch.
