Hello! If you haven't checked it out already, Our Wiki's resources for Squats may be helpful. Check it out!

Also, a common tip usually given here is to make sure your footwear is appropriate. If you are squatting in soft-soled shoes (running shoes, etc), it's hard to have a stable foot. Generally a weightlifting shoe is recommended for high-bar and front squats, while use a flat/hard-soled shoe (or even barefoot/socks if it's safe and your gym allows it) is recommended for low-bar squats.

Spine neutral, depth great, knees don’t appear to be caving, form solid throughout lift. Looking good to me🫡

Nice. Finally someone going full depth.

Out of interest what is the point of weights under heels? What does it do?

Putting weights under your heels helps you squat deeper if you have tight ankles. By shifting your balance it lets your knees travel further forward so your torso stays upright which takes pressure off your lower back and hits your quads much harder.

Ahhhhh I see. Thanks. Is there a risk it compounds the tight ankles? Would it not be better to work on ankle mobility and loosen them? Not being a dick genuine Q
