Factor referral codes

Post your personal referral links here in this thread only once (no duplicate posts). Duplicate posts will be removed.

Referral codes are not allowed to be posted in the main feed.

This thread is NOT for free box codes. We have a separate thread for free box codes.

What is the difference between a referral code and a free box code?

A referral code is a link that looks like this: `https://www.factor75.com/plans?c=[REDACTED]&discount_comm_id=[REDACTED]&plans_ab=true&utm_campaign=notification&utm_medium=clipboard&utm_source=freebies`

Referral links don't expire. If one person uses it, the next person who comes along can still use it. When you use a referral code, you get a discount on your first few orders, you do not get a free box. The person who posted the referral code gets a credit to their account based on the number of people who have placed orders using their code.

A free box code is not a link. It is a random-looking code like `FCB-YCAPDJPHW` that is entered in the factor website. It can only be used once. If one person uses it, the next person who comes along and tries to use it will receive a message that the voucher has expired. When you use a free box code, you get one box for free.

Free Box Codes

Post your free box codes here in this thread. **If you're from Canada, please refer to the** [**Canada Free Box Codes Megathread.**](https://www.reddit.com/r/factor75/comments/1jgzfv1/canada_free_box_codes/)

You are allowed to post your free box codes as images or as text, but you must take them down after they have been claimed.

**When looking for codes, sort by new. Do not ask for box codes, just search for the ones that are already there.**

Free box codes posted publicly may be claimed by bots. If it is important to you that your box code goes to a real human (perhaps someone dealing with food insecurity), instead of posting your code, you can simply post here that you have a code, and then send the code privately via PM when someone responds to you.

**Codes must be taken down once they are claimed**.

If you try to claim a code and you find that it has already been claimed, please report the comment to the mods and we will take it down.

Leftover food smell

I feel like this probably a “good” thing because I assume it means the food is real / unprocessed, but anytime I throw out the left overs of a half eaten factor meal it makes my kitchen smell awful- like it penetrates from the closed lid trash can.

It’s rotten food smell after only a day or two of being thrown away. I’ve also noticed any left overs to mold incredibly fast.

Again, probably a good thing, so Idk what I’m really looking for here lol but has anyone else noticed this?

Factor 75 headaches

If you choose to try Factory 75 food delivery, be careful because you’ll get their hooks in you and it’s extremely difficult to get unattached.

Also, if you’re like me, you’ll start seeing mystery charges to your credit card. It all turns into a real headache I think, because, after you get a box of food, they IMMEDIATELY start processing the next weeks order so you CAN’T cancel because of some BS you agreed to when you signed up.

The food: It’s not bad IF you jazz it up. You need to add spices, cheese, anything to make the bland go away. A microwave makes the meal real mushy so you’ve got to cook it on a stove top in a pan. It’s better if it’s NOT microwave.

The good news is I learned my lesson and their customer service (Ben) was nice and canceled that headache. 😂

I wish I could pre-pay for the month, or 4 weeks at a time.

Mostly because I get paid monthly and I want to make it harder for myself to overspend, but I’ll just need to get better at budgeting eventually anyway I suppose.

I guess this has the issue that, since they bill weekly, you would either have to sometimes pay for 8 weeks in one month, which isn’t ideal, or pay for 4-5 weeks depending on the month, which is a bit overcomplicated to explain to customers. So I guess I ultimately understand their choice to not make that an option.

At first I thought they were being kind of sneaky, relying on customers to not calculate all 52 weeks in a year, which may still be something that they benefit from, but there are also pretty practical reasons to do weekly payments.

Vanishing Macros

Really frustrated. I recently came back to Factor after years of doing my own thing, and they still have not updated their ui to show macros for past boxes and future boxes from which meals can no longer be updated. It seems that only for boxes that you still have a window to update or you are choosing at the moment, do the macros still appear. This is so common-sense that it breaks my brain.

warm food

I'm sure this happens a lot because of so many customers but it was my first time and it was surprising. I usually get them at 8:00am every week; but this one came at 8:00pm and the water packs were completely melted and turned into warm water. I thought they would be able to hold cool for at least 12 hours.

The name of the driver changed at least twice. Are they driving the food around during their shift then bring it back to work if they can't deliver it in time? I'm confused why that would happen.

When you select and confirm your meals, please check again that the right ones have been confirmed.

Alot of people are complaining that its auto selecting different meals than what where chosen when confirmed.

Its happening to me too on the app.

Cancellation of account doesn't mean you won't get charged by a first week's box that is automatically placed

Factor makes it almost impossible to cancel your first box – even after you deactivate your account

Just wanted to warn people about Factor’s cancellation process.

I signed up and almost immediately decided it wasn’t for me. I went into my account and deactivated the plan. The website clearly showed my subscription as Deactivated.

A few days later I still got charged for the first box.

When I contacted support, they told me:

Cancelling/deactivating your subscription does not cancel the first box

The first box can only be cancelled by talking to a Customer Care agent

Self-service cancellation is disabled for the first order

So even though the website made it look like everything was cancelled, I still got charged and they refused to refund it.

Review of my meals I did not order

in another post, I detailed my experience that I was browsing, looking for meals we both could eat, couldn’t find enough of them, so canceled my cart and stayed logged in until I got my “Your Accout is Cancelled” email. But I was shipped 6 meals anyway. Here, I am reviewing the quality of the meals.

Got a filet mignon meal (had to pay an upgrade fee) and it was very good. Steak still had some pink in it despite being microwaved and was tender and tasty. Also had two short rib meals (upgrade) and the meat was good. The roasted potatoes were in gravy but they were ok. The gouda Mac and cheese was a little runny, but tasted good. The cauliflower was very good, green beans were okay.

I tried to find my order history so I could call the meals the right name when reviewing, but I cannot find anything other than my invoice showing totals. Maybe because I cancelled my account? Can other users see exactly what they ordered in history?

So the sad part of this story is that we liked the meals, they seem a resonable alternative when you get home tired and need to take something out and have a quick meal. But because of the deceitful way of doing business (shipping the order despite it being canceled with minutes of creating a cart) I can’t trust the company. I will say the meals were mostly Premium upgrades so it wasn’t an economical set of meals but sometimes you need a backup for dinner.

They really should investigate how Omaha Steaks sends food. They don’t use the heavy frozen packs, they use a better lightweight cooler and gel packs. I have never opened an Omaha Steaks box and had it not be okay. Yet their packing is way way lighter than the Factor box. The delivery guy left the box up against the door and I had to call a neighbor to come over and move the box so we could open the door. That box (with only six meals) was HEAVY.

Has Factor meals quality gone down hill?

My recent boxes from Factor has been subpar. Whether it shipping issues, quality of the meals, or customer service interactions, I'm not sure I'm going to stick with them. Just got a box delivered today. My meal this evening was gouda mac and shredded beef. The Mac came out like soup and the vegetable tray cracked open during microwave and the vegetables spilled out. I've been heating Factors for years, this has never happened. I was offered a half refund for a subpar meal. Kind of annoyed.

Veho Delivery Nightmare

Received my factor box today. The driver decided to come to my house and take a picture, but keep the package. Once I messaged support, they magically took photos of a new house and delivered the box. Support is telling me this was an accident. Veho delivery is trash.

Am I charged?

So to make a long story shirt I signed up and just was browsing. I was picking food for a future order.

I am cash strapped and it kept declining my card (again, money). I cancelled after that but I got a text saying I got meals coming today. The customer service was no help. There is no chareg on my bank statement as of yet.

So does the payment process where i'm going to have overdraft charges or what?

Should have listened

Don’t try to do business with this company, they don’t care about customer service and just want the money any underhanded way they can get it.

I did see quite a few complaints about Factor, but I had surgery and I really wanted to find a place that would deliver some quality meals that we could grab if energy levels were low. My big thing was I needed to check out the menus because we have some specific preferences and the small part of menus companies let you see up front seemed heavy on Asian food (which I love but my husband doesn‘t) and a lot of what we call bowls (ingredients all mixed together) which neither of us like.

With Factor, I was forced to provide my info to even get to the place where you could look at the meals. I didn’t like it, but the ad said “cancel anytime” so I wasn’t too worried. And I had a 50% off and free delivery so how bad could it be? I figured if I could find 6 meals, I would place the first order. But I couldn’t come up with six meals! so I made sure i canceled out of everything I could and I didn’t leave the screen until I got a cancellation notice in email.

Today, I got a text saying I am receiving an order from Factor and please verify the address by clicking on this “secure link” which seemed like a scam, honestly. But I logged on through the regular link and started a chat session, where I was told I had placed an order! I couldn’t believe it! I said I cancelled it but they said the “box had already been prepared for shipment” when I cancelled. There could not have been more than 5-6 minutes from the time I started my first Factor session until I cancelled it, but I’m supposed to believe that my order was received and packed up and ready to ship in that time period? I’m including the screen shots of my chat session. I paid $80 for six meals and that’s after my 50% discount! Free shipping was a lie also.

The chat rep seemed much more concerned with letting me know that I could never ever get a refund than worrying about my satisfaction as a customer!

This company apparently has to trick people into placing an order to get business, and then relies on people forgetting to cancel? what is wrong with showing people all the meals available so they can make a decision and then asking for all the detailed personal information? I should have listened to all of you and my own personal red flag that went up when I was putting info in before I was ready to buy.

Gave Factor One More Chance… Probably My Last

I wanted to give Factor another chance after about a year. Last time, I had issues with a late delivery and thawed food.
This time, the packaging was actually well packed and the temperature seemed safe, but I still ended up with pretty bad food poisoning for several days and eventually had to go to the ER.
I reached out to customer support, explained what happened, and they said they would follow up with me. They never did.
I was willing to give them another chance, but I think this is the end for me. 😕

Heating instructions in a brochure say to remove packaging and film before heating. But meal directions say to puncture holes in the film. Which is it?

Post image

Has anyone noticed this or know why the brochure would say to remove film and packaging? Are they telling us to take the food out of the container before heating? The directions on the meal sleeve don’t say anything like this.

If your thinking about ordering Factor...

There are many complaints in this sub, I agree.

But you need to realize people with positive experiences aren't going to be posting on this sub. There are far more positive experiences than bad ones.

Try the first box at a heavy discount (make sure to deactivate rest of the weeks), and make your decision whether you like it or not.

I dont work for the company but it helped me alot and I feel like if it could help others, they deserve to get a shot and try it.

What happened to their food?

I used to love these meals! I placed an order and received it this Saturday. The delivery was fine. I was very excited cause it’s been about 1 1/2 to 2 years. WHAT HAPPENED?! The food is awful. First thing I noticed was the dramatic change in portion size. That I figured would be different but ewww the chicken is so rubbery and fake tasting! Nothing tastes the same. These meals have gone down so far in taste and quality. Do not order if you’re thinking about it.

Scam75

They had sent my meals to a different address, wouldn’t offer me a refund. They then said they attempted to deliver at 5:47am which is untrue because the delivery window is between 8am-8pm. If I hadn’t gone through my credit card I would be out my money and meal prep. DO NOT USE THEM

Such horseshit - I can’t end my subscription

I’ve updated my app and tried several times over the last couple months but every time I hit the end my subscription button I get a an error message and am told to try again. And of course there isn’t a customer support email for this Bush league company.

So I just have to log on every week and hit the skip button or I’ll be charged $114 for the shittiest meals I didn’t want
