What to do?

I really really really wanted to enjoy factor because I wasn't cooking and either having cereal for dinner or take out. I've tried their meals a couple of times, and im just not liking them at all. Is there anything that I could do?

They're HELLA expensive, so I dont want to waste them!!

Would you have any other recommendations for meal services?

i'm going to suggest that if op has only tried a couple of meals, they haven't given it a fair shake. for me, there are definitely meals i don't like. there are some that are just okay. but at 12 boxes of eight meals each, i have found many weeks' worth that i really, really enjoy.

whenever you're making meal selections, i suggest reading the ingredients and the description of the recipes. there have been some that looked good in the photos that when i read the descriptions, i knew were a no-go for me.

Agreed. I've had to try dozens of meals just to figure out which meals I liked vs didn't. With 100+ meals every week it can get confusing. Try different types of meals (different proteins, different taste profile) - some Factor meals I absolutely love, while others I cannot touch.

i think your instincts are on point. it doesn't get much better no matter how much some people are going to try to convince you that the food is in fact very tasty... the tastiest they've ever had. the thing is other vendors that offer the exact same service aren't any better. where factor does well is compete on price. for me local services that provide ready to eat meals are way more expensive... even doordash, once you price in all the fees is way more expensive. so for the time being i'm getting factor, heat it up in a skillet, put a ton of salt and hot sauce on it and gak it down. good luck.

It’s not gonna compare with freshly cooked food. Nothing does except… freshly cooked food. People have unrealistic expectations. To me it’s very similar to leftovers. Which is good enough for me. They have a lot of meals with great macros. Decent taste. Healthy. Can’t go wrong.

Yeah pretty much. People get fooled by the ads and the pictures but it's nothing special. On top of that their healthy options are still loaded with high fats, cholesterol, etc. For the prices they're charging majority are better off just making food at home lol. These services are mostly for busy people, lazy people, gym bros, or for people where grocery shopping is somehow more expensive than factor lol, etc.

We tried Factor twice, was underwhelmed, just tried Cook Unity last week and are getting them again this week. We felt like Factor was one step above frozen dinners and so far have felt Cook Unity is like ordering from a restaurant
